1248.
According to Kanengo Police Station spokesperson Gresham Ngwira, the incident stems from a disagreement that began in May this year, when Bamusi gave his wife, Catherine Katengeza, aged 24, K140,000 to start a small business. However, weeks passed without any sign of the business materializing, which reportedly caused tension between the couple.

 1259.
Ngwira explained that on June 30, Bamusi returned home from work only to find that his wife had left their home, taking all household belongings and leaving their child alone. Bamusi then followed her to Mtandire, where she was staying at her sister’s house, and convinced her to return home so they could resolve their issues.
