With Gmail&#8217;s read receipts, you can check if your e-mail has been read or not, which makes this waiting time easier to handle.</p>
  116. <p>You can turn on read receipts in Gmail in two main ways: one is free, and the other is paid. For the paid method, it comes straight from Gmail. For the free method, it uses third-party add-ons and also adds labels to your emails.</p>

When you click on &#8220;Request read receipt,&#8221; keep in mind that this is not like talking apps where you have to give permission. For this reason, you will not be told when someone reads your email until they agree to read receipts. People will keep getting approval requests, but you won&#8217;t know if they&#8217;ve read the email if they don&#8217;t say yes.</p>

  124. <p>As we already said, the free method depends on extensions from outside sources. Extensions like Gmelius, Boomerang, and Mailtrack can let you know when your emails are read, but most of them will leave a name on your email unless you pay. The vast majority of these add-ons can only be used on Gmail computers.</p>

The Cyber Crime Wing of the <a href="https://www.fia.gov.pk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Federal Investigation Agency</strong></a> (FIA) has arrested a number of people for mining Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. The people were caught with money laundering charges.</li>
  327. <li>Even though there are many disagreements about cryptocurrencies, well-known Pakistani writers and social media stars trade bitcoins and regularly post content in support of regulating them.</li>
  328. <li>Khyber Pakhtunkhwa became the first province in Pakistan to legalize cryptocurrency in December 2020.</li>
  329. <li>Pakistan said in May 2023 that it would not allow any activities linked to crypto or blockchain. It wanted to stop illegal digital currency activities and follow the rules set by the <a href="https://www.fatf-gafi.org/en/countries/detail/Pakistan.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Financial Action Task Force</strong></a> (FATF). Part of the reason for this was worries about funding terrorists and laundering money.</li>
  330. <li>Pakistan&#8217;s government announced in May 2023 that crypto will never be legal. The SBP first banned cryptocurrency in January 2022.</li>
  331. <li>According to reports, due to restrictions set by the international money-laundering watchdog FATF, Pakistan cannot legalize cryptocurrency.</li>
  332. </ul>
  333. <h2 id="h-legal-status-overview" class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Legal Status Overview</strong></h2>
  334. <p>As we all know, regulatory agencies in Pakistan do not allow actions that use blockchain or are related to crypto. A few crypto-related actions were criticized in the most recent ban. Let us look at how the law treats the following cryptographic basics:</p>

  360. <p>In Pakistan, there is no tax on keeping or trading crypto assets right now! Several ideas have been put forward, though.</p>
  361. <p>A 5% tax would be charged on cashing out crypto held in foreign exchange accounts and a 10% tax on cashing out crypto held in Roshan digital accounts. A 5% tax would be charged for exchanging crypto for Pakistani rupees. Based on Section 37A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, a 15% tax is being suggested on crypto trading profits. Crypto gains should be described as &#8220;securities&#8221; for this purpose.</p>

The Snapdragon X Elite has a 12-core CPU, but the X Plus has ten cores of Oryon CPUs running at 3.4 GHz. It can handle up to 64 GB of RAM and has a bandwidth of 135 GB/s.</p>
  402. <p>When we talk about Oryon CPUs, these new processors are 37% faster than competing chips and use 54% less power, which Qualcomm didn&#8217;t say. The Snapdragon X Plus was made using a 4nm process. It works with LPDDR5x RAM and has 45MB of overall cache. It can run three 4K screens at the same time, but the refresh rate is limited to 60Hz. A high-tech ISP for photos, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 are all built-in.</p>

Lastly, they talked about live captions in OBS Studio. Whisper AI, which is built into the device, can support up to 100 languages and turn spoken languages into live captions in real-time during live streams.</p>

  434. <p>Meta has already given Asus and Lenovo licenses to use its Horizon OS, and it is also pushing for other app shops to be added to its platform. It&#8217;s also making tools that will let app developers port their games, and these will include Meta&#8217;s weird metaverse, which still needs to interest everyone. As <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2024/4/22/24137284/meta-license-horizon-os-quest-headset-lenovo-asus" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"><strong>Alex Heath of the Verge</strong></a> put it, Meta wants to become &#8220;the Microsoft of headsets.&#8221; The details of the licensing agreement are still being kept secret, but these deals are still in their early stages.</p>
  435. <p>&#8220;An open approach to Horizon OS allows the company to focus its resources on making a VR ecosystem so appealing that it quickly builds up a user base that can&#8217;t be replicated by a second mover,&#8221; Varun Garde, Director of Cloud Marketing, Monetization, and Business Planning at Microsoft, said. &#8220;It also helps the company become less dependent on Apple and Google, which control access to mobile users and can, and sometimes have, made the company follow their own rules.&#8221;</p>
  436. <h2>Fatal Attraction</h2>
  437. <p>Mark Zuckerberg really wants Meta to own a computer platform. What else could explain the billions of dollars spent on VR and the <a href="https://techmag.com.pk/10-best-metaverse-platforms-to-watch-in-2023/"><strong>metaverse</strong></a>, the 3D world that Meta thought was so important that it changed its name to reflect that?</p>
  438. <p>Facebook used to be web-based, so it could do pretty much anything it wanted with its users. For example, it could &#8220;strip mine&#8221; them for information that it used to sell focused ads. But then phones came out, and people switched to apps run by Apple and Google. Even worse for Facebook and its parent company, Meta, Apple locked down the browser and told users when apps wanted to track them. This made it even harder to track people.</p>

  440. <p>Meta has a clear answer: it needs to own its platform. Most phones run either iOS or Android, so the smartphone market is full. However, the VR/AR market is still very open. This is the only reason Meta is putting everything it has into trying to make it a social platform.</p>
  441. <p>If it works, AR could do a lot more than keep track of the websites you visit. Because it has cameras, a headset can also see what&#8217;s going on around you and track your eyes to see what you&#8217;re looking at. Tell me that&#8217;s not a big, juicy target for Meta.</p>
  442. <h2>Open and Closed</h2>
  443. <p>By selling licenses for its headset operating system, Meta hopes to dominate VR in the same way that Windows and Android do for computers and phones. It&#8217;s not necessary to compete with Apple by making hardware and apps that work together. Instead, focus on what you&#8217;re good at and let other people make gadgets.</p>
  444. <p>Companies like Lenovo and Asus need a clear way to get into VR and AR right now, so this is a very smart move. It&#8217;s clear on the desktop. You only use Windows, and the same goes for Android on your phone.</p>
  445. <p>Manufacturers of headsets can focus on what they do best, which is making hardware. Using a tool that has already been tried and tested could save them a lot of money. &#8220;They also wouldn&#8217;t have to spend money on making a store with fun apps and persuading developers to make apps for their platforms,&#8221; Maeva Sponbergs, CMO and head of publishing at Beyond Frames Entertainment, told us.</p>
  446. <p>Lenovo helped design the Oculus Rift S and will likely make mixed-reality headsets for businesses. Meta&#8217;s announcement says that Asus is working on an &#8220;all-new performance gaming headset.&#8221; Meta is also working with Microsoft to make a special Meta Quest game that looks like the Xbox.</p>
  447. <p>People want to buy. When more companies join the game, there will be more options and cheaper ones.</p>
  448. <p>More devices on the market means more competition, which is good for consumers, developers, and content creators because it means hardware will probably get better faster. Annie Eaton, CEO of Futurus and author of the AR/VR book The Extended Reality Blueprint, told Lifewire via email that she is an expert in XR.</p>
  449. <p>Meta will own and run the whole experience, which is a problem because you know what they want from you.</p>

  484. <p>If you already have a smartphone, you don&#8217;t need to play YouTube games in a browser. You can play them on your phone instead. However, most of the games are pretty simple, so they might not be worth taking up room on your phone or tablet.</p>
  485. <p>You can remove smartphone games when you&#8217;re done, so this might not seem like a big deal. However, even when you do that, you may still need to delete files by hand. This doesn&#8217;t have to happen if you play in a browser since you don&#8217;t have to install anything. Some people don&#8217;t like using their phones to play games.</p>
  486. <p>As long as you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube also saves your progress in all games in the Playables area. This means that if you come back later, your high scores, progress toward finishing levels, and other numbers will still be there (unless YouTube deletes everything, of course).</p>
