  47. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Having described himself as &#8216;unfit, fat and old&#8217; earlier this year, straight-talking Clarkson isn&#8217;t the obvious choice for &#8216;sexiest man&#8217; &#8211; but his victory is clearly good news for average blokes everywhere.</p>

  55. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Instead, to follow in Clarkson&#8217;s footsteps, you&#8217;ll need to get your hands dirty on a farm, love beer and embrace a dad bod.</p>
  56. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The car enthusiast spends most his days at his 1,000 acre farm, Diddly Squat, in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, which he bought in 2008 but only took over the running of it himself in 2019. </p>
  57. <p class="mol-para-with-font">He&#8217;s filmed wrestling with the daily challenges of farming in his hit Amazon series Clarkson&#8217;s Farm; the third season has just been released following the success of series one and two.</p>
  58. <p class="mol-para-with-font">So for Clarkson, his days are now filled with looking after pigs, sheep, cows and chickens, growing crops and being at loggerheads with local planners as he tries to turn Diddly Squat into a money spinner.</p>
  59. <p class="mol-para-with-font">He&#8217;s helped at the farm &#8211; which also boasts a farm shop, beehives and picturesque woodland &#8211; by glamorous girlfriend Lisa Hogan, 50.</p>
  60. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Dublin-born beauty Lisa, who once had a successful career in the modelling industry, gaining recognition for her stunning looks in the 1990s, previously lived in Switzerland, Majorca, and London before settling in Oxfordshire.</p>
  61. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The mother-of-three, who has been dating ex-Top Gear host Clarkson since 2017, also has a string of acting credits under her belt.</p>
  62. <p class="mol-para-with-font">However, nowadays she&#8217;s swapped her glamorous life to gallivant around fields in muddy wellies with her petrolhead partner as they film the Amazon series.</p>

  76. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Speaking about his day-to-day, Clarkson told The Sun in 2021: &#8216;The farm’s the day job, y’know, you’ve got home life, and then I always think of The Grand Tour as being a bit like an adventure holiday &#8211; and that’s what they are.</p>
  77. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;They are adventure holidays with your mates, we just take a film crew along. And they are a bloody laugh.&#8217; </p>
  78. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Meanwhile, the presenter previously admitted to The Sun that farming hasn&#8217;t made him any fitter.</p>
  79. <p class="mol-para-with-font">He said: &#8216;Lisa and I have drank ourselves silly. When you’re farming one of the joys is the sun going down and leaning on a fence and looking at your sheep or your crops or watch the changing of the seasons.</p>
  80. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;So has it made me fitter? No. And the other thing about farming is how automated it is, you never have to actually walk anywhere, you just drive everywhere it’s fantastic. I’m the unfittest I’ve ever been.&#8217;</p>
  81. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Last year, when Jeremy was awarded the top spot in the annual poll, it was said to be due to ladies being unable to resist his &#8216;bad boy farm vibe&#8217;.</p>

  99. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Telling The Times: &#8216;I&#8217;ve driven cars higher than anyone else and further north than anyone else. We&#8217;ve done everything you can do with a car. When we had meetings about what to do next, people just threw their arms in the air&#8217;.</p>

  117. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The Hollywood star, 27, who is dating actress Zendaya, scored an impressive eight points in the poll. </p>
  118. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Completing the top three, is the Prince Of Wales, 41, who has raised in the vote after coming near the bottom last year.</p>
  119. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The annual sexiest man poll from leading married dating site, Illicitencounters.com is voted by 2,000 of its female members. </p>
  120. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The women are asked who they think the UKs sexiest man is, asking them to score a 50-strong list of the past year&#8217;s most famous, culturally relevant names from most to least &#8216;sexy&#8217;. Each name was scored 1-10 (10 being the highest) based on their &#8216;sexiness&#8217;.</p>
  121. <p class="mol-para-with-font">In something of a boost for Gareth Southgate, 53, ahead of a massive summer for football, the England boss &#8211; who is renowned for his waistcoat and soft knit fashion &#8211; took fourth place &#8211; a placing he&#8217;ll be hoping to avoid in the 2024 Euros.</p>
  122. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Bagging eighth place was I&#8217;m A Celebrity winner and former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson, 31, while &#8216;Hardest Geezer&#8217; Russ Cook, 27, made ninth.</p>
  123. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy, 47, took fifth place in this year&#8217;s vote alongside Top 10 sexiest hunk regulars Idris Elba, and Dermot O&#8217;Leary.</p>
  124. <p class="mol-para-with-font">And there were notable exits from this year&#8217;s Top 10, with Mike Tindall, 45, dropping from 3rd to 29th and Ryan Reynolds, 47, dropping from 4th to 26th.</p>

  176. <p>Claims can be lodged by migrants set to be deported to the African country  if they can provide &#8220;compelling evidence relating specifically to the person’s particular circumstances.&#8221;</p>
  177. <p>Legal challenges are expected to be based on articles two and three of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), which protect the right to life and guard against torture.</p>
  178. <p>The first flight scheduled to depart for Rwanda in 2022 had just seven migrants on board before it was blocked by European judges.</p>

  372. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Following the tragic loss of their bandmate Sarah Harding aged 39 in 2021, the band put their past issues behind them to reform in memory of the late singer.</p>
  373. <p class="mol-para-with-font">However, despite their gung-ho attitude to reuniting for a 30-date tour, insiders are said to be worried that tensions will fray when the pressure of a tour kicks in.</p>
  374. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The four women were all pictured arriving at rehearsals for the first time looking slightly solemn last week.</p>
  375. <p class="mol-para-with-font">A source told The Sun: &#8216;It&#8217;s no secret that Cheryl and Nadine had a fraught relationship and professional rivalry back in the day- they couldn&#8217;t even agree when Girls Aloud split &#8211; so now, they&#8217;re on best behaviour with the reunion.</p>
  376. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;But behind the scenes a lot of the team are wary they&#8217;ll clash again. They both look back and can see they were both at fault, they&#8217;ve both matured a lot &#8211; and due to professional and personal life challenges they&#8217;ve faced since the band, they no longer have the egos or competitiveness they did back then.&#8217;</p>
  377. <p class="mol-para-with-font">They continued: &#8216;Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberly are best friends and it seems like they are really trying not to exclude Nadine as they don&#8217;t want anything to derail this tour or cause tension &#8211; and Nadine is making a huge effort with them too, she&#8217;s really gotten to know the grown up versions of them over the last year and become close.</p>
  378. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Those close to the band are apparently hoping that their past feuds over who sings what and attracts the most headlines will no longer matter and can be left in the past. MailOnline have reached out to representatives for comment.</p>
  379. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Things turned sour between some of the band members when Nadine distanced herself from the group following their split.</p>
  380. <p class="mol-para-with-font">After the announcement Nadine took to X &#8211; formerly known as Twitter &#8211; and wrote: &#8216;You should know by now I had no part in any of this split business. I couldn&#8217;t stop them. I had the best time and want to keep going.&#8217; </p>
  381. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Cheryl hit back at the allegations and said Nadine was &#8216;full of s***&#8217; and claimed that she had requested a break in 2009, which began discussions about their break-up.</p>
  382. <p class="mol-para-with-font">She added: &#8216;She was the one who wanted to make a solo record. Which is why we took the hiatus. She wants to come out and say we broke the band up? No! She shouldn&#8217;t tell porkie pies.</p>
  383. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;Okay, so do you want us to tell the truth? She wasn&#8217;t going to make another Girls Aloud record until she got a solo deal. I feel she held us to ransom and then made her solo record deal.</p>
  384. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;It&#8217;s the truth. She&#8217;s saying that we broke the band up. So, there you go.&#8217;</p>
  385. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Kimberley also claimed in her 2013 autobiography, A Whole Lot Of History, that she would never have picked Nadine and Sarah as friends without the band.</p>
  386. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Nadine also hit out at the other members for &#8216;taking their anger out on her&#8217; because she got to sing more on their tracks.</p>
  387. <p class="mol-para-with-font">She said: &#8216;It was fine at the start but there&#8217;s always politics in any band. It just happened that I always got more vocals than everybody else, so in terms of people wanting their voice heard, that wasn&#8217;t happening.</p>
  388. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;It made people very bitter. They didn&#8217;t like that. It&#8217;s so sad for me to have to admit this stuff now because for so long, there&#8217;s the band, and you want everybody to think we&#8217;re best friends and we have pillow fights and, you know, drink milkshakes.</p>
  389. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;That&#8217;s what I wanted it to be. I really, really wanted that to be, but it just wasn&#8217;t how it was. We&#8217;re all very, very different characters.&#8217;</p>
  390. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Girls Aloud are set to kick off their reunion tour this month, after confirming they would be getting back together last year, marking 21 years since their formation.</p>
  391. <p class="mol-para-with-font">However it seems the foursome don&#8217;t always see eye to eye after they got into a heated debate during a recent radio interview earlier this month.</p>
  392. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The group insisted they &#8216;don&#8217;t do disagreements, just differences in opinions,&#8217; yet things got hilariously chaotic as they joined host<span style="font-size: 16px;"> Scott Mills on his Radio 2 show.</span></p>
  393. <p class="mol-para-with-font">A video posted on BBC Radio 2&#8217;s Instagram page showed the interview descending into chaos after Scott innocently asked the band if they will be performing<span style="font-size: 16px;"> some new covers on the tour.</span></p>
  394. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Nicola was first to answer, insisting &#8216;I don&#8217;t think we&#8217;ve got space,&#8217; only for Cheryl to chime in telling Scott &#8216;I&#8217;ve said it several times, people like it!&#8217;</p>
  395. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Nadine was in the opposite camp though, interrupting to say: &#8216;I was dead against it. I&#8217;m like we&#8217;ve got so many songs of Girls Aloud as our own. Why do we need to be doing it?&#8217;</p>
  396. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;But we can add just one random cover, it&#8217;s fun!&#8217; Cheryl hit back. </p>
  397. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Scott told listeners: &#8216;You join as there is a slight disagreement with Girls Aloud in between whether they should do covers or just the hits. We&#8217;ll be back after this&#8230;&#8217;</p>
  398. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The video then picked up as the girls continued to talk over one another, with Scott explaining: &#8216;Girls Aloud are here and they&#8217;re still discussing whether they&#8217;re going to do a cover version or just their hits.  Have we come to an agreement yet?&#8217;</p>
  399. <p class="mol-para-with-font">An exasperated Cheryl continued: &#8216;I&#8217;m not saying we shouldn&#8217;t be doing any,&#8217; before pleading &#8216;guys&#8217; when she was interrupted again.</p>
  400. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Mediating, Scott told Cheryl to speak, who explained &#8216;I think we should do all and&#8230; for the sake of three minutes more.&#8217;</p>
  401. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;But how long&#8217;s the show? Five hours?&#8217; pointed out Scott, prompting Nadine to declare &#8216;exactly!&#8217;</p>

  403. <p class="mol-para-with-font">In announcing the tour in November, the foursome revealed the group have not recorded new music but just want to celebrate their back catalogue.</p>

Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world. Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three hour drive from Victorville on their daughter&#8217;s second birthday—all of us wanting the same thing— for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.</p>

They graciously stayed open late a few minutes, let us take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed).</p>
  669. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;So with the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben&#8217;s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we&#8217;ll wear for the rest of our lives. They even had Bluetooth for a (short) march down the aisle. But in the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very long last.</p>

  790. <p>And while it could take decades until Britons can look up and see waves of shimmering green and purple again &#8211; last week&#8217;s geomagnetic storms were the largest since 2003 &#8211; some lucky astronomers in Scotland should expect to witness them for the second weekend running.</p>

  810. <p>This week has seen unprecedented numbers of alerts from AuroraWatch, an open-to-the-public aurora monitoring service.</p>
  811. <p>The service, run by scientists in the Space and Planetary Physics group at Lancaster University&#8217;s Department of Physics, gives would-be spotters regular alerts and mapping telling them when and where to see the phenomenon.</p>

  879. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The UK is going through a sea change in how it heats homes and powers gas appliances. This is due to the Government&#8217;s net zero campaign, which aims to limit greenhouse gas emissions.</p>
  880. <p class="mol-para-with-font">A big part of this campaign is replacing the use of natural gas, which is piped into more than 80 per cent of UK homes.</p>

  887. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The main alternative to gas boilers is the heat pump, which uses electricity to remove energy from the environment and convert it into heat.</p>
  888. <p class="mol-para-with-font">But the Government&#8217;s programme to get UK households to fit heat pumps is going slower than expected, with just 55,000 installed in 2023.</p>
  889. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Just one in 10 people either have a heat pump or want one, according to a YouGov survey commissioned by the Energy and Utilities Alliance trade body. </p>
  890. <p class="mol-para-with-font">But more than half (51 per cent) of said they would support blending natural gas with hydrogen to cut carbon emissions from home heating. Hydrogen can be burned in much the same way as natural gas.</p>
  891. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Meanwhile, two-thirds (66 per cent) of people want their current gas boilers to be converted for use with a zero-carbon gas, such as hydrogen, in the future.</p>
  892. <p class="mol-para-with-font">So with all the consumer demand for hydrogen power, how likely is it and how does the system work?</p>
  893. <h2 class="mol-para-with-font mol-style-subhead">What does hydrogen mean for central heating?</h2>
  894. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Hydrogen can be used to heat homes and power existing gas appliances, such as cookers and hobs, unlike heat pumps which only provide heat. </p>
  895. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Replacing natural gas with hydrogen has several advantages &#8211; but disadvantages too.</p>
  896. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Burning hydrogen does not create harmful emissions, unlike natural gas which releases carbon dioxide.</p>
  897. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Households should not need to make any adjustments to their boilers, meters or pipes if hydrogen of up to 20 per cent is mixed with natural gas.</p>

  904. <p class="mol-para-with-font">A report by HyDeploy found that meters were not affected by introducing one-fifth hydrogen to the gas supply.</p>
  905. <p class="mol-para-with-font">In fact, all gas appliances made since 1996 are tested on a blend of 23 per cent hydrogen before they can be sold in the UK, due to the Gas Appliance Directive.</p>
  906. <p class="mol-para-with-font">So a small amount of hydrogen in the gas system would enable homes to keep their gas boilers and cookers, with most needing no alterations.</p>
  907. <p class="mol-para-with-font">At the moment all gas boilers and cookers can safely burn a small amount of hydrogen anyway, but this is limited to 0.1 per cent under gas safety laws.</p>
  908. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Hydrogen levels above 20 per cent will begin to require modifications to homes, such as changes to pipes, cookers, boilers and meters.</p>
  909. <h2 class="mol-para-with-font mol-style-subhead">Why don&#8217;t we have hydrogen heating already?</h2>
  910. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The technology is still young and the Government wants to make sure any hydrogen rollout is done safely with as few snags as possible.</p>
  911. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The Government was consulting on plans to start putting hydrogen into gas supplies from 2025, but has now delayed this until at least 2026. Heat pumps will be its focus instead.</p>
  912. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Energy efficiency minister Martin Callanan said: &#8216;Heat pumps and heat networks will be the main route to cutting household emissions for the foreseeable future.&#8217;</p>
  913. <h2 class="mol-para-with-font mol-style-subhead">Is hydrogen heating and cooking more expensive?</h2>
  914. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Hydrogen is the most common element in the world &#8211; and in fact in the known universe &#8211; so it is in theory freely available.</p>
  915. <p class="mol-para-with-font">But extracting hydrogen and piping it into UK homes is a costly and often difficult practice. </p>
  916. <p class="mol-para-with-font">A major drawback is that the cost of a hydrogen rollout could be more expensive than just installing heat pumps.</p>
  917. <p class="mol-para-with-font">A study by energy experts at Cornwall Insight found that hydrogen would be almost twice as expensive for heating a home compared to carrying on using natural gas.</p>
  918. <p class="mol-para-with-font">There are also some safety issues with hydrogen. The gas is less safe than natural gas &#8211; though neither is perfectly safe. </p>

  926. <p class="mol-para-with-font">A Government consultation said that older gas meters may also not be able to handle the higher volumes of gas caused by mixing hydrogen with natural gas, and may need replacing.</p>
  927. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Some parts of the country are currently unable to get any hydrogen anyway, because the gas mains in their area are made of old iron, which becomes brittle when in contact with hydrogen.</p>
  928. <p class="mol-para-with-font">These old iron mains are being replaced by 2030.</p>
  929. <h2 class="mol-para-with-font mol-style-subhead">What would hydrogen power mean for energy bills?</h2>
  930. <p class="mol-para-with-font">This would depend on how much hydrogen is introduced and how that is done.</p>
  931. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The likelihood is that energy bills would rise if hydrogen is introduced to the gas supply.</p>
  932. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Household gas bills could rise by 11.2 per cent if 20 per cent hydrogen is mixed in, according to a 2022 report by German institute Fraunhofer.</p>
  933. <p class="mol-para-with-font">However, this 11.2 per cent rise was criticised by energy trial HyDeploy, which said a rise of 6 per cent was more likely in the UK.</p>

  938. <p class="mol-para-with-font">There could be a cost to households if the gas system in their own home cannot handle hydrogen, and this needs to be stripped out before the natural gas can be burned.</p>
  939. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The Government consultation on the issue said: &#8216;For example, there may be costs associated with deblending if users cannot use blended volumes of gas and need to de-blend hydrogen at the point of use.&#8217;</p>
  940. <p class="mol-para-with-font">A hydrogen/natural gas blend will increase the amount of overall gas being used by households, because hydrogen provides less energy per volume when burned.</p>
  941. <p class="mol-para-with-font">For example, a mix of 20 per cent hydrogen and 80 per cent natural gas provides around 86 per cent of the energy of just burning natural gas.</p>
  942. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Household energy meters record the volume of gas used, so if hydrogen is eventually piped into the system then meter readings will go up considerably.</p>
  943. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Despite this, gas bills should not change from the additional volume &#8211; provided hydrogen costs the same as natural gas, which is currently unknown.</p>
  944. <p class="mol-para-with-font">This is because gas bills are worked out on the overall energy used by consumers, not the volume.</p>

  995. <p class="mol-para-with-font">This year&#8217;s SI Swimsuit Issue boasts four covers, featuring Kate Upton, Gayle King, Chrissy Teigen and Hunter McGrady. </p>

  1038. <p class="mol-para-with-font">In 2019, she convinced her mom to fly to Miami with her for the Swim Search open casting &#8211; which she won by beating out more than 10,000 other contestants.</p>
  1039. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;I loved the process because they didn&#8217;t even look at me in a swimsuit for the initial casting,&#8217; she told the outlet.</p>
  1040. <p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;They got to know me as a person and asked what I was passionate about. They wanted to know Brooks the person, not as a model. I was surprised when I didn&#8217;t just walk in the room and hear, &#8216;OK, next.&#8217; It was like a therapy session.&#8217;</p>
  1041. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Brooks has been featured inside the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition every year since, but 2023 was her first cover.</p>
  1042. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Earlier this month it was reported that the star and her estranged businessman husband have been living apart for months and are divorcing.</p>
  1043. <p class="mol-para-with-font">A source told DailyMail.com that the couple amicably came to the decision to end their marriage.</p>
  1044. <p class="mol-para-with-font">The pair were last photographed together publicly in early February during a vacation to Mexico.</p>
  1045. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Notably, Nader attended the recent 8th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards solo on April 28.</p>
  1046. <p class="mol-para-with-font">She failed to acknowledge their most recent wedding anniversary on social media and Haire has not appeared on the model&#8217;s Instagram since December 2022.</p>
  1047. <p class="mol-para-with-font">Nader and Haire tied the knot back on December 14, 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana.</p>

The Kevin Garnett-led T-Wolves lost to Kobe Bryant&#8217;s L.A. Lakers, 4-2, in the Western Conference Finals of the 2003-04 NBA postseason. </p>
