44.
Donald Trump eclipsed Joe Biden’s April campaign fundraising haul by over $25 million as the Democratic incumbent suffered from a drop in donations last month.

 45.
The Biden campaign and Democratic National Committee revealed Monday that they raised more than $51 million in April, far less than the $90 million both entities reported bringing in in March.

 46.
Meanwhile, the Trump campaign and Republican National Committee boasted a $76 million April haul earlier this month.

 47.
“[A]ll while [Trump] was forced to sit in a courtroom for a sham, Soviet-style trial,” RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump, the former president’s daughter-in-law, wrote on X, highlighting the disparity in the Biden’s April numbers compared to Trump’s.

 48.
“Despite their desperate attempts to stop him, the momentum & grassroots support is GROWING & will continue all the way to Nov 5,” she added.

 49.

 50.

 51.
While Trump, 77, dominated in April, the Biden campaign appears to have the edge cash wise.

 52.
The Biden campaign and the DNC reported having a $192 million cash war chest, the highest total of any Democratic candidate in history at this point in the cycle.

 53.
The Trump campaign and the RNC closed out March with $93.1 million in cash-on-hand.

 54.
The entities have not reported their April war chest total, but even with the $76 million haul, it would not surpass Biden’s cash-on-hand.

 55.
“April’s haul reflects strong, consistent grassroots enthusiasm for reelecting Joe and Kamala, and is giving us the resources necessary to invest in opening offices, hiring organizers and communicating across our battleground states in order to mobilize the coalition of voters who will decide this election,” Biden-Harris 2024 Campaign Manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement.

 56.
“Trump’s operation continues to burn through cash and lag behind our growing and aggressive campaign, with no ground game and no demonstrable interest in talking to the voters they need to win,” she added. “We’re taking nothing for granted, but only our campaign is doing the required work every single day to earn voters’ support this November.”

 57.
The Biden campaign has routinely bested Trump in monthly fundraising.

 58.
Trump’s April numbers were boosted by a massive $50.5 million single-day haul from an event held at the Palm Beach, Fla., home of billionaire investor John Paulson.

 59.
That gathering was Trump’s response to the Biden campaign’s Radio City Music Hall fundraiser in New York, which raised $26 million for the 81-year-old incumbent in March.

 60.
The glitzy event was attended by former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama and several A-list celebrities.

 61.
The Biden campaign touted Monday having raised more than $473 Million since the president launched his re-election campaign last April.

 82.
This local government review appears as a “study commission question” toward the end of ballot forms. Most urban voters will see two entries — one for city and one for county governments.

 83.
JUSTICE KAGAN BLOCKS EFFORT TO STOP MONTANA FROM MAILING BALLOTS TO ALL VOTERS

 84.
Set forth in the Montana Constitution, this voter-initiated review is offered every 10 years in all 56 counties and 127 incorporated municipalities. Any jurisdiction where voters approve the review in the June 4 primary election will kick off a two-year process examining the ways that cities and counties define their governments.

 85.
Reviews focus on legislative powers, which are held by a city council, county board of commissioners or similar elected group. Also up for review are executive branch functions, which includes hiring staff and running daily operations of the city or county. Perhaps most importantly, reviews can shift the balance of power between the two branches.

 93.

 94.
“This is all an experiment,” said Dan Clark, director of the Local Government Center at Montana State University. “There’s no right or wrong. If this isn’t working as well as they’d like it to, what might work better? And let’s try it.”

 95.
A review can lead to small changes, like setting new terms for elected officials or designating ward-by-ward versus at-large representation. It can also restructure the top tier of the government operation, laid out in state statute as “forms.”

 96.
Variations of those forms include a commission-executive, in which a city council and mayor serve legislative and executive functions, respectively. An alternative is the commission-manager form, in which the elected legislative body appoints a city manager to handle executive functions. A charter form of government is also an option, giving governments more latitude to define the details and duties of the government and its staff.

 97.
There is also a town meeting form, which is only available to towns with less than 2,000 people. The residents of voting age make up the legislative branch, and a quorum is reached if 10 percent of that population attends a meeting. Clark said that Pinesdale, with fewer than 1,000 residents in the Bitterroot Valley, operates this way.

 98.
If voters approve a review for a particular government on June 4, a study commission will be elected this November to review potential changes to local governance and suggest solutions. Residents who are eligible to hold elected office in their jurisdiction can file to join the commission. After nearly two years of study, the commission suggests changes, and voters have the chance to accept or reject the commission’s proposals.

 99.
The process is funded by a property tax levy, usually collecting an amount in the low six figures. Local governments were required to approve a suggested funding level earlier this year. Any unused funds return to the government’s general fund.

 100.
Historically, Montana cities and counties going through change, such as population growth, are more likely to undergo a local government review as their needs evolve.

 101.
“Some communities will be content with their form of government. They haven’t experienced a lot of change,” Clark said. “Other communities might feel the need to make that change. There’s growth. They’re getting bigger, more complex, and maybe looking to different structures that might meet the challenges they might make into the future.”

 102.
One recent example came out of a review that Bozeman voters approved in 2004. After the two-year study, voters approved a city charter in 2006 that created the city charter, formalized neighborhood councils, and approved the direct election of the mayor. Another proposal that came out of this review, a suggestion to bring the number of City Commission members to seven, failed in a subsequent vote in 2010.

 103.
This year, Bozeman is the site of some organizing in support of a city government review. An effort by a group called Represent Bozeman has the support of former Mayor Carson Taylor, as well as current Deputy Mayor Joey Morrison. In a public forum earlier this week, Morrison told an audience that he supports a change in the pathway to the mayor’s office, according to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. The current city charter has elected mayors to serve two years as deputy before taking over the mayoral position. Morrison is currently in his first year of that process after being elected in 2023.

 104.
Represent Bozeman is led by Bozeman Tenants United, which supported Morrison’s mayoral bid.

 105.
Organizer Emily LaShelle said the group supports a vote in favor of local government review with a few goals. The first is ward elections and representation for city commission members rather than at-large positions. She said the group hears from renters in northeast Bozeman who don’t feel seen by commissioners who often come from the more affluent neighborhoods.

 106.
“In a lot of ways, the reason the tenants union took this on is that so many of the working-class Bozemanites feel deeply unrepresented by the local government,” she said.

 107.
Represent Bozeman also supports full-time City Commission positions, which she said would support more working-class representation.

 108.
LaShelle said the group also wants to shift the power dynamics between elected officials and appointed city staff. This stems in part from the troubled exit of former City Manager Jeff Mihelich, who accepted severance earlier this year after a leaked video showed him making disparaging comments about commissioners and their work.

 109.
Bozeman’s city charter directs city staff to carry out much of the legislation that comes from the City Commission, which LaShelle said leaves too little room for elected officials to carry out their work and creates a barrier against public accountability.

 110.
“It makes it harder for regular people to make change,” she said. “There are so many incredible groups in Bozeman to make change. But the current system is outdated and makes it really hard for the people in Bozeman for real democracy to happen.”

 111.
A similar effort pushing for local government review is taking place in Billings. David Goodridge is a commercial Realtor and broker who said he learned about the mechanism after years of frustration about the pace of action at the Billings City Council.

 112.
Goodridge voted against the measure in 2014. Back then, he said, he looked at the prospect of an additional, yearslong government commission that cost six figures and didn’t like the idea. He says now that he voted against the very instrument that could bring the change he wanted to see at the council.

 113.
“My goal for the last eight months has been to try, from a grassroots position, to educate as many people as I can to not be afraid of this ballot item,” Goodridge said. “It’s a good thing.”

 114.
This time around, his effort is called “Get To Yes.” The basic idea is to bring awareness to this down-ballot item and advocate for a vote to get the process started.

 115.
Like LaShelle, Goodridge feels that Billings’ City Council has ceded too much power to appointed staff.

 116.
“The question I ask a lot of people in presentations is: who do you think is applying vision to the community? Elected leaders or the bureaucracy?” Goodridge said.

 117.
He also wants to see the mayor as a full-time position in Montana’s largest city and wants resources for council members to devote more time to their public roles.

 118.
“An elected person only has whatever time they have available to them to dive in and understand a complex zone change, a complex staffing issue, an infrastructure problem,” he said. “If all the time they have is just what they have in volunteer time, 10 to 20 hours isn’t going to cut it.”

 119.
Goodridge said he has received some monetary support from the Billings Association of Realtors and some in-kind donations for website development and marketing materials, though in total it amounts to less than $2,000. While he has a wish list for his preferred local government structure, his main goal is to secure voter approval for a review process on June 4.

 120.
Clark, with MSU’s Local Government Center, said that the intent of the process is not to be a referendum on the actions or policies of elected officials. It’s more about how the government operates regardless of who holds office or staff positions.

 121.
CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP

 122.
In Billings, Goodridge said he has been waiting 10 years to get this chance to rally voters behind a review.

 123.
LaShelle hasn’t been waiting for another review since the 2004 study led to a brand new city charter. But she sees different needs for Bozeman 20 years later.

 124.
“It’s changed a lot since then,” she said. “And I think maybe the city charter worked for that Bozeman, but it’s certainly not working now. I don’t think we can wait another 10 years.”

In a 1995 incident on the grounds of the University of Alaska Anchorage, a group of students provoked and harassed a cow moose and her calf for hours, throwing snowballs. When an uninvolved 71-year-old individual tried to walk past the agitated moose, he was stomped to death.

 200.
Rumors have swirled about Bravo pressing pause on season 12 of Vanderpump Rules — and the cast is already weighing in.

 201.
Multiple outlets reported in April 2024 that the network wasn’t in a rush to begin production after documenting the aftermath of Tom Sandoval and Rachel “Raquel” Leviss‘ cheating scandal. News broke of Sandoval’s infidelity — and his subsequent split from Ariana Madix — in March 2023, and cameras were quickly picked up again to film a new finale for season 10.

 202.
Ariana, Rachel, Sandoval and their costars later hashed out the drama in a dramatic reunion special, which delivered record-breaking ratings for Bravo and Peacock. Production on season 11 began in June 2023, three months after Ariana learned about the affair.

 203.
When the new episodes aired in early 2024, some viewers questioned whether the speedy turnaround caused conversations caught on camera to feel stale and less high-stakes. (Even some of the cast agreed.)

 204.
It’s possible production is being delayed to accommodate Ariana’s busy schedule. Following her time on Dancing With the Stars and playing Roxie Hart on Broadway’s Chicago, she was tapped to host Love Island USA. The dating series is set to film in summer 2024, which is typically when VPR production kicks into gear.

 205.
After the season 11 finale aired in May 2024, viewers were even more convinced that Vanderpump Rules was due for a break. The conclusion to the season showed the cast turning on Ariana after she refused to film with Sandoval. Lala was most vocal about her displeasure, which hinted at a divide between the cast ahead of the reunion special.

 206.
Keep scrolling to see what the Vanderpump Rules cast has said about potentially taking a break from filming:

 207.
Scheana Shay

 208.
 209.
“I personally feel like I don’t have any inside information. We’re the last people to find out,” Scheana said on her podcast in May 2024. “I could see Vanderpump Rules picking up maybe in the fall [2024] after The Valley fully wraps up.”

 210.
She added: “That’s just my prediction is, let’s give it several months of [Ariana and Katie’s] sandwich shop being open. Ariana’s going back to Broadway. Let’s all just live our lives for the next five to six months and pick up where we’re at then instead of where we left off after the reunion. Because that’s where we’re all at right now is where we left off at the reunion.”

 211.
That same month, Scheana expressed support for the pause. “I think this break is needed. Honestly, I think it is the smartest decision to not jump right back in to another season like we did after Scandoval. I don’t think enough time had passed. And I feel like if we gave it a little more time to breathe, things would have been a lot different,” she said on her podcast. “I feel like all of us need a little bit of an emotional break.”

 212.
Scheana also shared her plans for the summer now that cameras won’t be around.

 213.
“I’m going to be working on a dream project of mine this summer. I’m very, very excited about having time to do that and not figuring out how I’m going to juggle that with filming five days a week. I’m going to get to enjoy a summer off for the first time in like 12 years and the first time as a mom. So I’m really looking forward to having some downtime focusing on some other projects,” she added. “I’m just excited to have time with the family and in the new house.”

 214.
Lala Kent

 215.

 216.
 217.
During a May 2024 Amazon Live, Lala said she wouldn’t mind hitting pause — or coming back right away to film.

 218.
“Is this confirmed? I’m gonna say this. If we film this summer, I’m going to have a peaceful pregnancy, because I will not allow it to be any other way,” noted Lala, who is expecting her second baby via IUI. “This is my real life.”

 219.
Lala made it clear that her priority was motherhood, adding, “This is gonna be my baby forever, and I will be damned if anybody tries to make it [difficult] — which, I’m in charge of my own emotions. So if we do film, I will keep zen to protect the peace of my baby in the womb. And if we don’t film this summer, I will be on cloud 59.”

 220.
That same month, Lala mentioned on her podcast that she was pleased with the decision to press pause on filming. “As you guys know, we’re not filming. And contrary to what the internet says, I’m very happy about it, OK?” she shared.

 221.

 222.
Tom Sandoval

 223.

 224.
 225.
“I think one of the things is that, coming out of this scandal, it was like we picked up filming right when everything first happened,” Sandoval explained during an appearance on Fox’s New Day Cleveland in May 2024, days after the reported pause made headlines. “And then we kind of had a very short break and then right into filming this season that you’re watching now, season 11.”

 226.
The TV personality recalled the burnout that came with documenting his scandal, adding, “What would end up happening, production would just be down, the last episode of the season, the reunion, then our secrets revealed or whatever it is, would air and then it’s maybe a couple weeks and we would be back into filming again.”

 227.
Sandoval seemed on board with the pause. “They just wanna give it some time to breathe, take a break, maybe, I’m really excited about it,” he explained. “Because it’s like every year we film my birthday. We film Scheana [Shay]’s birthday at times or whatever. To kind of have a different time of the year, it might bring a fresh sort of feeling to our show.”

 228.

 229.
Tom Schwartz

 230.
 231.
“I think people need a little break. I think the show, I like that we’re actually taking a little breather that is postponed,” Schwartz said on Kristen Doute’s “Balancing Act” podcast in May 2024. “I don’t know what the future of the whole looks like, but maybe I’m delusional, but I feel like we’re just gearing up for a whole new chapter. I don’t know. I think the show needs to breathe a little bit.”

 232.
He added: “There’s some overexposure. I think there’s some you know what of all fatigue, and it’s like it got a little dark. Usually, the show has always been 100 percent authentic. I think it was always more levity to it. It just got a little bleak, a little dismal for me the past few years. But I don’t know. I think everyone’s healing.”

 233.
Andy Cohen

 234.

 235.
 236.
The Bravo exec — who doesn’t make decisions about VPR‘s future — also sounded off on possibly halting production to improve the franchise.

 237.
“We used to do this all the time with the Housewives,” he said on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live in May 2024. “We would say, ‘You know what? Let’s put cameras down for, you know, four or five months and come back to them.’ And they will have lived, you know, life.”

 238.
Andy noted that he and Ariana discussed how fans can often “forget” the timeline of their show when watching the episodes.

 239.
“People forget that we picked up cameras a few, three months after [Ariana] found out about [Sandoval’s] affair, so that’s why she’s still in the violently angry stage and you can understand that,” he continued, adding that while “it’s great” to show her raw reaction, the drama has now run its course. “Sometimes you do want people to live their lives and see how things develop … so, I think it’s a very good idea.”

 240.

 241.
Lisa Vanderpump

 242.
 243.
“We’re taking a little breath here. I’ve got to open another restaurant,” Vanderpump exclusively told Us in May 2024. “I think we’re kind of done talking about Scandoval/Sandoval. So I think everybody needs to have it kind of all breathe a little bit.”

 244.
While the cast has been describing the VPR hiatus as a “pause,” Vanderpump confessed that “every year I think, ‘Oh, this is gonna be the last year.’” That possibility hasn’t stopped her from creating and expanding her legacy.

 245.
“I’ve kind of gone and done other things, opened other restaurants and been, like, on other shows, created Vanderpump Villa,” she added.

 267.
The Mets right-hander skipped his planned bullpen session on Sunday, according to manager Carlos Mendoza, after experiencing tightness in his triceps.

 268.
Senga was examined by team medical personnel and there is a “low level” of concern about the tightness, Mendoza said.

 311.
Embattled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis suggested on Monday that the creation of a new prosecutorial oversight panel in Georgia is racially motivated.

 312.
“Georgia had never had a prosecutorial oversight committee,” Willis told MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, when asked about the state Senate’s special committee investigation.

 313.
“All of a sudden, 14 minorities were elected to office to serve as district attorney,” she continued. “And now all of a sudden they need an oversight committee to look after district attorneys because they want to tell us how to prosecute and who to prosecute and where we should put our resources, as opposed to allowing the voters that put us in the seats to make those determinations.”

 314.
The new disciplinary board, approved by the Republican-controlled state legislature earlier this year and signed into law by the GOP Gov. Brian Kemp in March, will have the power to discipline and remove prosecutors from cases in Georgia found to have engaged in misconduct.

 315.
Willis, who is currently under investigation by the Georgia state Senate over her use of taxpayer money during her relationship with former special prosecutor Nathan Wade, could come under scrutiny from the new body over the same allegations and other aspects of her handling of the prosecution of former President Donald Trump.

 316.

 317.

 318.
“They use false reasons for wanting to come after me,” the district attorney said Monday.

 319.
“What is so ironic is, although it’s only 14 of the 50 DAs in the state of Georgia, most of the citizens report to our jurisdictions, so, although we’re smaller in number than the other 36, most of the population has elected these minority DAs to serve them and has trusted their judgment,” Willis argued.

 320.
“But apparently we now need daddy to tell us how to do our job.”

 321.
Willis, 52, also railed against House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who subpoenaed the DA back in February over allegations she’s mishandling federal funds.

 322.
“Jim Jordan has time after time after time attacked my office with no legitimate purpose,” she claimed. “Anyone who knows Jim Jordan’s history knows that he only has the purpose of trying to interfere in a criminal investigation.”

 323.
“He has now turned his tricks to he’s going to look at grant programs — which I invite him to do — and we have complied with his subpoenas,” she added. “But yet he continues his attacks to try to interfere in a criminal investigation – all while his jurisdiction has one of the worst crime rates, has poverty issues, and not one time has he used his position to try to investigate people who are attacking me and attacking others legitimately doing their job — making him illegitimate in his position.”

 324.
“It’s disgusting,” Willis said of the congressional probe, “Now at the state level, they’ve decided to follow this clown’s lead.”

 325.
A spokesperson for Jordan did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

 326.
The Georgia state Senate special investigation panel held its third public hearing related to the Willis probe earlier this month, which delved into the amount of money the DA’s office has spent prosecuting the historic racketeering case against Trump and his co-defendants and the lack of oversight other government entities have over the district attorney’s office.

 327.
Willis has vowed not to appear before the panel, questioning the authority state lawmakers have to issue her a subpoena.

 347.
President Biden on Monday said he rejects allegations by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Israel’s conduct amid its war against Hamas as the ICC seeks to pursue arrest warrants for Israeli leaders and the top echelon of the terrorist group.

 348.
Biden was speaking in the White House Rose Garden with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff during a celebration for Jewish American Heritage Month when he addressed the ICC arrest warrant request for Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, military commander Mohammed Deif, as well as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes during the ongoing conflict.

 349.
“We reject the ICC’s application for arrest warrants against Israeli leaders,” Biden said. “Whatever these warrants may imply. There is no equivalence between Israel and Hamas. And it’s clear Israel wants to do all it can to ensure civilian protection.”

 350.
“But let me be clear,” he added. “Contrary to allegations against Israel made by the International Court of Justice, what’s happening is not genocide. We reject that. We’re going to always stand with Israel and the threats against their security.”

 394.
The climber was using a satellite communication device to keep in contact with their family during a solo attempt to climb Denali, according to a statement from Denali National Park and Preserve. Rangers found the climber’s tent and used information gathered from interviews and location data from their satellite device account to identify where they may be.

 427.

 428.

 429.
Rudy Callegari is no top model.

 430.
So when fashion photographer Nigel Barker tapped him to strike a pose for his “Senior Portraits” series, the 97-year-old World War II vet was thunderstruck.

 431.
“I thought, ‘Who the hell am I that he’d want to take my picture?’” Callegari, from Red Hook, told The Post with a laugh.

 432.
“‘He could be taking pictures of celebrities. But he wants me?’” said the Brooklynite. “‘I’m honored.’”

 433.
Barker, who famously photographed the wannabe starlets of “America’s Next Top Model” in the mid 2000s, launched his senior-centric project this spring.

 434.
While preparing his son Jack, 18, a high school senior, to take graduation pictures, the A-list lensman became inspired to immortalize golden agers in their golden years.

 435.
 436.
“I’m about storytelling, capturing the narrative of someone’s life,” Barker, 52, told The Post. “Seniors have the best stories ever.”

 437.
“They’ve seen every fashion change, every hairstyle change — so many changes in the world throughout their lives,” he continued.

 438.
“I’m telling the stories deep in their souls.”

 439.
But Barker’s brilliance had to be clicking while tackling the task.

 440.
Unlike the swanky supermodels he often shoots, such as Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell, pensioners demanded speedy perfection.

 441.
“Talk about being fierce and smizing,” said Barker, describing the hauntingly haute looks the seniors serve while staring into his camera.

 442.
“But they only give about three to four minutes, five minutes max,” he laughed, “‘and if I haven’t got the shot, they’re like, ‘You’re not as good as people say you are.’”

 443.
Barker snapped black and white stills of Callegari — who he endearingly called a “heartthrob” — and his fellow residents at Monarch Communities, an assisted-living neighborhood, in New Rochelle.

 444.
Executives of Monarch, the proprietors of several retirement villages across the tri-state area, welcomed Barker to treat consenting tenants to “‘Top Model’ for a day” splendor in April.

 445.
He plans to repeat the sweet deed for Monarch dwellers in Connecticut and New Jersey in May.

 446.
Once completed, the gallery of photos will hang on display at the properties alongside darling details about each senior’s life.

 447.
“Our residents in their eighties and beyond have an understated greatness to them with their wisdom and stories that we wanted to share with the world,” Michael Glynn, CEO of Monarch Communities told The Post. “Through his unique creative approach, Nigel is shining a light on this beauty and empowering our elders to continue to be an integral part of society.”

 448.
Barker hopes his senior portraits encourage “anti-aging” obsessed tots, tweens and teens to embrace the beauty of maturing.

 449.
“Wrinkles are the stories of our lives,” he told The Post, crediting mom Gillian, 83, and late grandmother, Inyce, 97, for his high regard for retirees. “[Wrinkles] show whether we laughed or cried a lot in our lives.”

 450.
“It’s the map of where we’ve been, which should be celebrated.”

 451.
Callegari agrees.

 452.
“You gotta be happy every day,” said the nonagenarian, who’s looking forward to turning 100 in a few years. “If you laugh every day you’ll love as long as me.”

 453.
“I laughed so much [during the photoshoot with Barker], I’ll probably live another 20 years.”
