  43. <p>The McFly drummer, who has been busy promoting the band’s recent collaboration with Busted, experienced a &#8220;traumatic few days&#8221; after Lockie was injured by a washing pod. Harry and Izzy, married since 2012, have three children: Lockie, their seven-year-old daughter Lola, and five-year-old son Kit.</p>
  44. <p>Izzy posted a black-and-white image on Instagram, showing her holding Lockie’s hand as he slept in the hospital, explaining how the accident unfolded and reminding parents to secure cleaning products.</p>

  47. <p>Lockie managed to get hold of a washing pod and accidentally burst it, causing the contents to enter his eyes. Although Izzy wasn’t present at that exact moment, she shared her regret over forgetting to put the pods away, adding that they immediately rushed him to the hospital.</p>
  48. <p>At the hospital, Lockie’s pH levels in his eyes were measured at 8, and they needed to be brought down to 7. Nurses spent the entire night flushing Lockie’s eyes with 22 liters of fluid to stabilize his pH. Izzy expressed her deep gratitude to the NHS nurses for their kindness and dedication, acknowledging how difficult it was to watch Lockie undergo the distressing procedure, particularly as he dislikes even having his hair washed.</p>
  49. <p>Currently, Lockie’s right eye remains injured due to the chemical exposure, but he is being closely monitored by specialists. Izzy praised her son’s bravery and determination through the ordeal, concluding her message with a cautionary note to other parents to ensure cleaning products are stored completely out of children’s reach.</p>
  50. <p>Izzy reflected on the experience as &#8220;the scariest moment&#8221; of her motherhood, extending empathy to any other families who have faced similar frightening accidents.</p>
  51. <p>Harry has not commented publicly on the incident, but the Judds received an outpouring of support from friends and fellow parents. Back in 1999, Tim and Jules, paragliding school owners with four daughters between them, aimed to build their dream home on a cliffside in just three months before welcoming their first child together. Despite their ambition, things didn’t go smoothly, and when Kevin last visited, their son Tiger had already arrived, but the house was far from finished.</p>

  211. <p>The realistic portrayal led to over 30,000 complaints to the BBC within an hour, as parents voiced outrage over their children&#8217;s fear.</p>
  212. <p>The episode was banned from British TV indefinitely, with the BBC maintaining its restriction even after Parkinson’s passing in 2023.</p>

  217. <p>This eerie show, starring Michael Parkinson, was crafted by horror writer Stephen Volk, who initially proposed a six-episode horror series but adapted it into a single 90-minute program upon request.</p>
  218. <p>In Examiner Live, Volk shared that they initially planned a post-show discussion to alleviate the tension. “To deliver a horror gag effectively, you can’t undermine it by revealing the truth,” he explained.</p>

  374. <p>‘The fact I could meet somebody isn’t a rom-com story, but it is hope that things really can change,’ she explained.</p>
  375. <p>Miranda&#8217;s declaration follows her previous tease that her book would reveal information about her love life, as well as her appearance in recent images and videos on social media wearing a wedding band.</p>
  376. <p>Miranda spoke on the BBC about battling her chronic illness, which she revealed to be Lyme disease, and how she is had &#8216;an unpleasant few years&#8217;.</p>
  377. <p>‘I’ve mainly been in bed or housebound with chronic illness. It’s been a tough few years, which my book is charting. But it hasn’t been all doom and gloom- there has also been some joy as well,’ she said.</p>
  378. <p>However, she did say: ‘One you’ve been in bed housebound with a chronic illness and fatigue that takes a long time to be diagnosed, you miss life a lot.’</p>

  444. What is Lyme disease?</h2>
  445. <div class="metro-factbox-content grey">
  446. <p>Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that can be spread to humans by infected ticks.</p>
  447. <p>A circular or oval shape rash around a tick bite can be an early symptom of Lyme disease in some people.</p>
  448. <p>The rash can appear up to three months after being bitten by an infected tick, but usually appears within one to four weeks. It can last for several weeks.</p>
  449. <p>According to the NHS, symptoms include a high temperature, or feeling hot and shivery, headaches, muscle and joint pain and tiredness and loss of energy.</p>
  450. <p>One of the main treatments for those with the disease is a course of antibiotics.</p>
  451. <p>Some people who are diagnosed and treated for Lyme disease continue to have symptoms, like tiredness, aches and loss of energy, that can last for years.</p>

  455. <p>In August Miranda revealed she had had been experiencing feelings of ‘shame’ in recent years.</p>
  456. <p>Wearing a T-shirt that read ‘Proud’ and holding her book, she at first joked she had ‘lost all of the midlife weight that was lumped on in the last three years’.</p>
  457. <p>‘I haven’t,’ she whispered before pointing to the title of her book.</p>
  458. <p>‘But can I just say I’m actually really quite proud of the fact that I’ve dismantled quite a lot of shame about my weight gain, not that because I don’t think bigger is beautiful, but because it isn’t quite me and I feel really uncomfortable and it’s one of the things I talk about in there,’ she added.</p>

  497. <p>One dissatisfied spectator started a Reddit thread titled &#8216;I feel like I spend more time watching advertisements than the actual show&#8217;.</p>
  498. <p>Many people agreed: &#8216;I have found the last few episodes tough to watch,&#8217; said FenderForever62.</p>

  505. <p>SueTheil said she felt ‘naive’ for assuming they’d get more content, rather than more adverts in the extended episode (technically, it was both).</p>
  506. <p>Rebecca summarised that while she loved the series, there were far too many adverts for her liking. Meanwhile, Amyyy went down the sarcasm route, we assume, or she just really appreciates consumerism: ‘Wow I LOVE the Bake Off to Advert ratio….’</p>

  519. <p>When viewers were not watching advertisements, they were watching the remaining bakers compete in the 2024 competition. The cast had to demonstrate their bread-making abilities in front of bread specialist Paul Hollywood and fellow judge Dame Prue Leith.</p>
  520. <p>First, they had to prepare savoury buns for their trademark, then a plaited loaf for the technical, and finally a bread cornucopia display for their much-anticipated showstopper.</p>

  541. <p>In the end, John’s bagel blunder contributed to the decision for him to be eliminated from this year’s series of Bake Off, while Dylan Bachelet, 20, was crowned the new star baker for Bread Week.</p>
  542. <p>In his farewell letter, the directorate support manager expressed how grateful he was to have been on Bake Off after being a ‘fanboy for 14 years’.</p>
  543. <p>‘It has truly been an honour and the most amazing experience of my life. I wouldn’t change a single thing… well, I might change it so at least 1 of the bagels floats! Ah well, we love the dramz don’t we bab!’ he wrote.</p>

  590. <p>Because, unfortunately for her (and all women), a female flatmate has been the first evicted 20 times out of 21 civilian series.</p>
  591. <p>Marco Pierre White Jr. is the single exception to the norm. In 2022, a man was sentenced to prison for a variety of crimes, including shoplifting and racially abusing a Tesco security guard.</p>

  602. <p>Rosie accepted being referred to as Baked Potato for the remainder of her time in the house, and eating a blended cheese sandwich. However, she admitted defeat when Big Brother said all her future nominations must be carried out face-to-face.</p>
  603. <p>While Thomas, who had to shave off an eyebrow and shred three housemates’ personal photos, proved unbeatable. Therefore, he escaped the punishment and moved into the main house after previously living in ‘storage’.</p>
  604. <p>The seven housemates still confined to the dreadful room – Daze Aghaji, Emma Morgan, Lily Benson, Rosie, Dean, Nathan and Ryan – were then given one final chance to change their fate.</p>

  636. <p>Louise Minchin, a former BBC Breakfast presenter, has described a horrific event in hospital in which she was concerned she might die.</p>
  637. <p>The 56-year-old broadcaster who co-hosted BBC Breakfast till 2021 has two daughters with her husband, Mia and Scarlett.</p>
  638. <p>Louise has said that she needed counselling following a &#8216;traumatic&#8217; experience during the delivery of her eldest child, Mia.</p>

  640. <p>‘That’s what I do with lots of things, when Mia was born, that’s the only thing I’ve ever kind of had to seek help for actually.</p>
  641. <p>‘When Mia was born, a week after she was born, I had a burst appendix. It was really, really serious.’</p>
  642. <p>Louise said that it was a ‘ridiculous’ coincidence that her appendix had burst while she was in hospital, but didn’t know if the pain was linked to her pregnancy or not.</p>
  643. <p>She continued: ‘It was my first pregnancy so I didn’t know. I kept telling them that I had this pain, but they just thought, “It was your body, you’re having this baby, what do you expect?”</p>
  644. <p>‘Literally six days after she was born and it burst while I was in hospital and it was very dramatic and very traumatic.</p>
  645. <p>‘That’s the only thing I’ve ever had help with actually, because I thought I was going to die six days after my baby was born.’</p>
  646. <p>Louise previously stated that after her appendix burst, she was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and required several months to recuperate.</p>

  651. <p>‘Although the scare didn’t put me off having more children, I delayed it. But the birth of my second was a breeze.</p>
  652. <p>‘It was lucky it all happened after Mia was born. I can’t imagine what would have happened if I had been pregnant. It changed me, but I’m more positive now.</p>

  730. <p>The frontman of the 1970s rock band served as a guest judge with Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and former <a href="https://www.mycelebritylife.co.uk/tag/strictly-come-dancing" title="strictly come davcing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Strictly Come Dancing</a> legend Bruno Tonioli, but his appearance did not go down well with fans.</p>
  731. <p>Fans criticised Simmons for appearing to comment on numerous of the women&#8217;s features, with others calling him &#8216;creepy&#8217;.</p>
  732. <p>At one point, the 75-year-old said he could not pick between American football player Danny Amendola and professional dancer Witney Carson because they were both &#8216;hot, hot, hot&#8217;.</p>
  733. <p>He also described Reginald VelJohnson&#8217;s partner, Emma Slater, as a &#8216;beautiful woman&#8217; who can &#8216;twist it, spin it, and understands how to move it&#8217;.</p>

  1102. <p>Cake experts Sandra Lee, Bill Yosses, and Bryan Ford judge the competition, which is presented by American Pie actor Jason Biggs, a &#8217;00s Hollywood celebrity who is intimately aware with the intricacies of baking.</p>

  1438. <p>The husband of the Good Morning Britain host passed away in January after a three-year struggle with Covid-19 problems.</p>
  1439. <p>Kate, 57, had previously allowed cameras to follow her family for three documentaries on Draper&#8217;s health issues.</p>
  1440. <p>Kate Garraway: Derek&#8217;s Story, the third, was named one of the nominees in the written documentary category last month.</p>
  1441. <p>Despite her achievement, Kate has revealed why she has not wanted to rejoice.</p>
  1442. <p>At the conclusion of a chat with Martin Lewis on Thursday’s episode of <a title="gmb" href="https://www.mycelebritylife.co.uk/tag/gmb" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GMB</a>, Kate’s host Ed Balls said: ‘I’m just going to say, Kate Garraway for her fabulous documentary Derek’s story is also nominated for an NTA.’</p>

  1445. <p>Kate went on to tell the duo, &#8220;I have not posted that I have been nominated yet because I got so much backlash from doing it, from people saying stop talking about it.&#8221; But, actually, I understand I am disappointing people, so I am going for it now.&#8217;</p>
  1446. <p>The series&#8217; final documentary focused on Draper&#8217;s dying years, following Finding Derek in 2021 and Caring for Derek the following year.</p>
  1447. <p>They were both nominated for the same NTA category and won both years.</p>
  1448. <p>Kate choked back tears as she spoke about how her husband felt like a &#8216;burden&#8217; in the years leading up to his death.</p>
  1449. <p>‘One of the biggest frustrations was that he felt like a total failure, he felt like an incredible burden on the carers, on the system, on us and it didn’t matter what we said, he felt that burden, and he wanted to be a contributor,’ she said on <a title="gmb" href="https://www.mycelebritylife.co.uk/tag/gmb" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GMB</a>.</p>
  1450. <p>‘Making this documentary was his way of saying “I’m gonna speak up for the people that have supported me, the family but also those around me and the people within the care system.’</p>
  1451. <p>She added: ‘It’s wonderful to have the chance to honour him and also honour the millions. I’m sad because I don’t have the chance to care anymore but I felt it would be wrong for me to sort of walk away from the caring campaign that I feel I have a responsibility for.’</p>

  1455. <p>‘I’ve had a few comments on Twitter saying, “For goodness sakes, what now?” And I knew that would happen because people don’t understand and haven’t been through the experience, maybe, that Derek and millions of others do across the country, so I hope people understand why,’ she explained.</p>
  1456. <p>‘It’s important not to walk away from something just because the person for whom made it very relevant to our family life isn’t there. It wouldn’t be right for Derek; it wouldn’t be right for all those within the system. So, I hope people understand and that they find it very helpful.’</p>
  1457. <p>She added that despite facing ‘hate’, she felt overwhelmingly supported and had been met with a ‘huge amount of love’.</p>
