Did you know most bullying usually occurs in places where there are no adults present, such as, hallways and bathrooms? As a teacher, at Orange Elementary School, in Orange, VA, I was introduced to a great program to prevent bullying in schools. It was called Olweus Bullying Prevention. It involves teaching children about bullying and how to prevent it. The program has lessons, in which, children take part in scenarios that model ways to stop bullying even before it starts.
