Going away this summer and wondering who’ll look after your feathered friends? Our Chicken Boarding service at Yateley Smallholdings is here to give you peace of mind while you’re on holiday – and we’ve already got bookings coming in fast!

We know how important your hens are to you – they’re not just livestock, they’re part of the family. That’s why we offer a safe, clean, and caring environment where your girls will be well looked after while you’re away. Whether it’s just for a weekend or a few weeks, we’ll make sure they’re fed, watered, and settled in comfortably while you enjoy your time away.

Our dedicated boarding area is completely separate from our main flock, giving your hens their own space to relax and adjust. Each group is housed individually, so there’s no mixing with unfamiliar birds, keeping things calm and stress-free. We provide high-quality layers pellets, fresh water, and regular health checks as standard – and of course, plenty of friendly attention!

We can accommodate most breeds, from hybrids to bantams, and we’re happy to discuss any special requirements your hens might have. Just let us know if they need particular feed, supplements, or have any quirks we should be aware of – we want them to feel right at home.

Our summer holiday dates are already starting to fill up, especially during July and August, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. Spaces are limited to ensure we can give each hen the proper care and attention they deserve.

If you’re planning a getaway – even just a weekend break – now’s the time to get in touch. We’re always happy to chat and answer any questions you might have about how it works, what to bring, and how to prepare your hens for their little holiday.

To check availability or reserve your space, just drop us a message or give us a call.
We look forward to welcoming your girls for a stay at Yateley Smallholdings – where they’ll be looked after just like our own.

Looking to make this Easter extra special? We’re excited to announce that fertile hatching eggs will be available from Yateley Smallholdings just in time for the holidays!

Whether you’re a school looking to run an educational project, a family wanting to experience the magic of new life, or a seasoned chicken keeper ready to grow your flock, our Easter hatching eggs are a brilliant way to bring spring to life.

We’ll have a lovely selection of mixed breed and pure breed eggs, carefully collected and ready for incubation. Our hens are well-kept, healthy, and housed with the correct roosters to give you the best chance of a successful hatch. All eggs are freshly gathered and handled with care to maximise fertility and hatch rates.

We recommend reserving early, as Easter is one of our busiest times for hatching eggs – they’re always in high demand from schools, families, and hobbyists alike. Eggs can be collected directly from us here in Yateley, or we can advise on safe posting options if you’re further afield.

If you’ve never hatched before, we’re more than happy to give you some tips and advice on getting started – it’s a rewarding and unforgettable experience.

Hatching eggs will be available from mid-March onwards.

To reserve your batch or ask any questions, just get in touch – we’d love to help you get cracking this Easter!
