Ms. Mohini Kelkar, Director – Business Development at Grind Master Machines Private Limited, has been elected as the President of IMTMA for 2025-2026. She takes charge as the first woman to hold this prestigious position, bringing her vast industry expertise and leadership to the forefront.
Mr. Vikram Salunke, Managing Director of Accurate Gauging & Instruments Pvt. Ltd., has been elected as the Vice President of IMTMA for the same term. His extensive contributions to precision engineering and manufacturing will further strengthen the association’s leadership.
The AGM also announced the formation of the new Executive Committee of IMTMA for 2025-2026, which will guide the association’s initiatives in policy advocacy, industry growth, skill development, and international collaborations.
Founded in 1946, IMTMA represents over 500 member companies from both public and private sectors, covering manufacturers of metal cutting machines, metal forming machines, cutting tools, accessories, and related equipment. Over the decades, IMTMA has played a pivotal role in advancing the Indian machine tool industry through:

<li>Policy advocacy and government engagement</li>
<li>Organizing flagship exhibitions and trade fairs, including IMTEX</li>
<li>Publishing research reports and industry insights</li>
<li>Creating platforms for knowledge sharing and training</li>
<li>Promoting R&D, innovation, and skill development for industry professionals</li>
</ul>
IMTMA also owns and operates the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), one of India’s green and world-class exhibition facilities that hosts international exhibitions, conferences, and corporate events.

India Crossed 50% Non-Fossil Fuel Power Capacity
India has demonstrated remarkable strength in its power infrastructure, successfully surpassed 500 GW level with renewables having more than 50 per cent share, signaling another milestone in the nation’s clean-energy transformation. The country’s power capacity consists of 256.09GW from non fossil-fuel sources. Since its launch in 2011, Delhi Comic Con has been the birthplace and epicenter of India’s pop-culture revolution, uniting fans, creators, and artists under one roof. Over the years, the event has evolved into the ultimate fan destination with cosplay competitions, exclusive comic book collections, immersive experiences, fan meet-ups, and merchandise launches. Last year alone, it attracted over 52,000 visitors, featuring popular comedians Ashish Solanki, Ravi Gupta, Rohan Joshi, alongside electrifying performances by Panther and rapper Fotty Seven.
Akshat Rathee, Co-founder & MD, NODWIN Gaming, shared: 
“Delhi will always be home for Comic Con India. This is where it all began in 2011, with a small group of fans and creators starting a cultural movement. Every year, the city gives us the biggest stage and the loudest voice. Beyond being a convention, Delhi Comic Con 2025 will offer workshops, panel discussions, gaming tournaments, VR zones, artist showcases, and networking opportunities, making it a bridge between passion and profession. Over the years, the event has welcomed international icons like Ryan North, Jason Loo, Dan Parent, David Lloyd, and Japanese voice actors Kappei Yamaguchi and Natsuki Hanae.

It will pave the way for more opportunities in the region. Currently the work of 2nd floor is under construction. The convention centre is spread in 37.99 acres. After completion it will host a whopping 91,924 sq. ft exhibition hall which will have a capacity to hold 10,000 guests, a convention hall with 5,000 seating, auditorium with 1,500 seats and a parkling space for more than 1600 four wheelers and 1700 two wheelers.
Development of the convention centre is a pivotal step as it will boost the MICE economy of Tamil Nadu and attract more investments. The three-day event, held from 2–4 September 2025, brought together more than 350 exhibitors and participants from 48 countries and regions. With four country pavilions, six high-level country roundtables, a dedicated Workforce Development Pavilion, and an extensive conference agenda, the event highlighted every facet of the semiconductor value chain—from design and fabrication to packaging, R&D, state policies, and ecosystem building. The conference attracted 35,000 registrations, 30,000 onsite visitors, and 25,000 online viewers.
Jointly organised by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and SEMI, the global semiconductor industry association, SEMICON India 2025 provided a world-class platform for industry leaders, policymakers, academia, startups, and investors to collaborate and forge strategic partnerships.
Building on successful past editions in Bengaluru (2022), Gandhinagar (2023), and Greater Noida (2024), the Delhi edition set a new benchmark by showcasing India’s rapidly evolving role in the global semiconductor landscape.
The event was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also toured the exhibition on Day 2 and engaged in a roundtable with leading global CEOs and CXOs to discuss the future of semiconductor innovation and India’s strategic role in the sector.

Drawing more than 29,000 attendees over three days, the event cemented itself as one of the fastest-growing anime and pop-culture conventions in India.
Organized alongside the 7th Animation & More Summit and Ann Awards, the festival brought together global anime creators, industry leaders, cosplayers, and fans under one roof.
One of the biggest highlights was the appearance of Tetsuro Araki, director of iconic anime titles like Attack on Titan and Death Note, who joined fans for multiple meet-and-greet sessions. Another major draw was Susumu Fukunaga, corporate officer at The Pokémon Company, who shared insights into the global success of Pokémon and future plans for India. Popular influencer and comedian Rohan Joshi also lit up the stage with interactive games like anime-themed dumb charades.
According to Anime India co-founders Neha Mehta and Mishaal Wanvari, the event was designed as more than just a fandom gathering. It aimed to act as a cultural bridge between Indian creativity and Japanese storytelling, offering fans three days of cosplay, live performances, gaming contests, anime-themed merchandise, food, quizzes, and showcases of locally developed anime characters.
Anime India 2025 was powered by strong industry support, presented by Anime Times and Toyota, co-powered by Yotta, with major partners including Epic Games | Unreal Engine, PlayStation, 88 Pictures, Autodesk, Redington, and Sony YAY!. Over 70 exhibitors such as Muse, MediaLink, Souled Store, and Celio added to the experience by offering original licensed merchandise.
The event also featured a cosplay championship, karaoke competitions, Ayidol singing, and gaming tournaments, with more than 1,200 participants delivering electrifying performances.
