32.

Working parents who are constantly on the road are using remote DVR surveillance to keep in touch and to keep watch over their children, which paved the way for remote parenting. This makes sense in a fast paced and dangerous world.Parenting and YouLifestyles are fast changing and parenting adjusts to the different situations. Today’s super jobs are also taking the parents away from their children most of the time and for long periods. If not for remote DVR surveillance and mobile phones, there would be no other way to connect with the children frequently and cheaply and in real-time.If you’re the worrywart and need constant assurance that your children are safe and sound and that your property is secure from unwanted guests, the latest remote DVR surveillance will ease your mind. You can access the recording going on in your home from any part of the world with an Internet connection. You can monitor the nanny and your children, and check if the kids are eating well, going to school on time, and keeping to bedtime hours. Being able to do all these things even when you are miles away gives you control over the rearing of your children, no matter the distance. The Advantages of Remote DVR SurveillanceWhat makes the surveillance system highly recommended for remote parenting? Here are the best reasons for getting a remote system:* Immediate access to the recordings wherever you are.* Ability to change the systems settings remotely.* Quality images.* Faster playback.* Efficient storage and fast retrieval of recordings. With these features, you can access live video streaming on your monitors, fix camera and user settings, search stored files, and playback files – all remotely. The remote features make your life easier while you’re on the road and far from your young or teenaged children.A high-speed Internet connection makes the remote DVR surveillance very effective, and wouldn’t you want something real fast when you are after your children’s welfare? You can’t be drumming your fingers 99% of the time because the images are taking too long to download; you might as well take the next flight home. With real-time viewing of the activities going on at home, you can immediately call the attention of the people at home and remind them of the schedules they have to follow, or you can give directions on how you want some things done while viewing how the instructions are carried out.Family Protection PlusThe next time before you hop on a plane, prepare you family for emergencies, too. Have the numbers of the children’s grandparents, doctors, teacher, and 911 prominently posted near the telephone, or have the numbers stored on the address book of their mobile phones.Or, the next time you come home, have your family time neatly planned out. Parenting has it dues, and one is keeping quality family time and having lots of them when you’re home. Togetherness compensates for your absences.Time will come when you’ll be nostalgic over your babies, “tweens”, and teens. If your job requires remote parenting, trust remote DVR surveillance to help you keep in touch and witness all those wonderful moments in your children’s lives. Secretly, remote parenting has its rewards, too. You don’t hear the usual whines and the racket children make. Don’t you think so?

 48.

My store has been installing Remote Car Starters since the early 1990s. This experience has taught us what is important in a quality remote starter installation. With the cold season almost upon us, we thought it would be a good time to post our Top 10 List (in no particular order):10. WarrantyThe actual remote starter brain should be warrantied for as long as you own the car. Many quality companies offer this. If they do not, it is a possible sign of inferior equipment. Remote controls, however are rarely warrantied for more than a year. Our Pro line remotes carry a 2 year warranty and all our 2 way remotes have a $25 replacement plan.9. Engine Speed SensingA good remote starter should have some method of monitoring the engine RPM’s. Why is this important? There are a couple reasons:* On a very cold day, the car might not start on the first turn of the key. The same is true with a remote starter. It might not start the first time the starter does it’s thing. Without a method of sensing engine RPM’s the remote starter will have no way of knowing that the vehicle has failed to start. The end result is that you go out to your car and it is still cold.* The other main reason is over-rev protection. A quality remote starter will know if the engine speed is too high and shut off. A remote start that does not offer RPM sensing cannot know if this level is exceeded and could end with damage to the vehicle.8. Transmitter RangeYou want to make sure that the remote start that you are buying will allow you to start/stop/lock/unlock, etc from a long distance. Many people say that they just park their car right outside of their house and do not need a long rang transmitter. Just keep in mind the trips to the movies, the mall, the amusement park, etc. You will want to use your remote start then also and you will not be parked as close as at home. Our transmitters offer a minimum of 800 feet and some are over a mile!7. Hood Safety SwitchMake sure that there is an emergency cutoff installed under the hood. This cutoff is designed to prevent the vehicle from remote starting if the hood is up. This protects you and your mechanic from forever having someone else open your ketchup bottles! DO NOT OVERLOOK THIS! Many shops skip this step because it saves time. Mobile Edge integrates a hood cutoff on every single job.6. ManufacturerMake sure that the manufacturer is a company that specializes in remote car starters. There are many companies out there that simply throw a label on a product and call it their own. You want to avoid that. It is our experience that these companies provide little if any support for their products and many will not be in business next year. Stick with the experts.5. New Car WarrantyDo not let your car dealer tell you that an aftermarket remote car starter will void your warranty. This is against the law. The Magnuson Moss Act prevents a dealer from voiding a warranty simply because of the addition of aftermarket equipment. If that equipment or associated installation causes damage to the vehicle, the dealer does not have to warranty the job. This is more of a reason to go to a specialist shop that sell good remote starters and installs them professionally. I have a detailed PDF on this subject.4. Do it Yourself?Unless you are a certified technician with experience in remote car starter installation, DO NOT attempt to install your own remote starter. I know… The one you saw at WalMart comes with an instructional video. That video will teach you enough to make you dangerous. Trust me! It will not teach you how to integrate the transponder in a 2004 Ford or bypass the security in an 06 Trailblazer. The instructional video may have worked in the early 1990′s, but today’s cars are very sophisticated. Save yourself a ton of expense and headache and have it installed by someone who does this for a living and can be responsible for the job. This brings us to number 3.3. Buy it Here / Install it There?Do not buy your remote starter on eBay (or WalMart or Amazon, etc) and expect to find a quality, reputable shop that will install it for you. While many aftermarket shops will install stereos and amps purchased elsewhere, few if any will install a remote start purchased elsewhere. During remote starter season, the good shops are busy enough trying to keep up with their own work. If you find a shop that will install someone else’s remote starter, they are likely not very busy. Do you want to trust your vehicle to that guy? There is another very important reason not to buy a remote starter at one place and have it installed at another. Let’s say something goes wrong. A remote starter is an electronic product and can fail. The guy that puts it in will blame the product and the manufacturer will say that it was installed wrong. Guess who is stuck in the middle with no recourse. When you have the shop that you buy a remote starter from install it, you have one place to go in the event of a failure. There cannot be any finger pointing.2. Go to a SpecialistLook for a specialty shop. Not to bash any of the chain stores, but they have a much higher turnover rate with installers than a specialty shop. These are people that likely have less experience than a long term employee at a specialty shop. It is my experience that many installer “cut their teeth” at a chain store and, once they have more experience, move on to a specialist (We pay more!).Many specialists (not all though) will solder all of their connections. I feel that this is very important. Crimp connectors can save up to an hour of installation time, but when dealing with the vehicle’s electrical system, I want a rock solid connection. The only way to get that is by soldering the wires together. Mobile Edge has soldered every connection on every job for nearly 15 years. Will a remote starter from a specialty shop cost more than from a chain store? Sometimes yes. But put that into perspective. Even if the job cost $100 more from a specialist, that difference is less than 1/10 of 1% of what you probably paid for your car. Why take the risk. Not to mention, when you deal with a specialist, you can talk to the installer, salesman and, in many cases, the owner. There is definitely a value in that.1. More than Just a Remote StarterMake sure that you review all of the convenience features that can be added to your remote starter with your salesperson before the installation! Most higher quality remote starters will allow a ton of cool features to be added or controlled from the remote. Anything from heated seats to keyless entry and rear defrost can be integrated with most better systems. It is A LOT cheaper to have this done at the time of installation. If you want to add it later, you may be paying for several hours of additional labor. The Bottom LineIn summary, the cheapest price does not always save you money! When selecting a shop to have a remote starter put in, ask a lot of questions. How long have they been in business? How much experience do their technicians have? Do they have sophisticated computer programs to aid with installation? How do they handle warranty issues? You get the idea. The better shops will clearly rise to the top. They might cost a little more up front, but that extra expense will pay dividends in quality and piece of mind. I am sure that you will find that Mobile Edge is one of the best shops for your Remote Car Starter Installation.

 64.

It’s hard to believe we’ve now lived almost a full year in the pandemic. Since March I’ve written articles about ways to adjust business strategy, how to adapt to the changing times, utilizing technology to stay successful, and more. When I wrote my first article related to the pandemic back in March, I never thought almost a year later the pandemic would still be as present as it is in our lives today. What’s changed though in the past 10 months, are the opportunities the pandemic brought to the staffing industry. A lot has changed since March and companies adapted to this change. We’ve seen major increases and decreases in industry demand. We’ve also seen a significant increase in working at home, among many other changes. Now, we are beginning to see some of the long-term effects these industry changes have brought to the workforce. The rise of temporary help and flexible jobs for the foreseeable future is among these changes.Cause of Increase in Temporary JobsThere are several reasons experts predict there will be a rise in contract jobs going forward. In general, the staffing industry has seen that temporary jobs have recovered faster than direct hire jobs.COVID-19 has actually added a lot of the jobs to the temporary workforce, such as temperature checkers and contact tracers. Currently there is a major demand for jobs assisting with the vaccine rollout, which could be a great opportunity for staffing companies if you’re able to get the trained staff that is needed.Besides the addition of COVID-19 jobs, the pandemic has caused an increase in demand for contract work in other areas. Some companies are still treading water and are cautious about bringing employees back on full-time. Contract workers are less of an investment, which is better in times of uncertainty and as companies are getting back on their feet. The job is still able to get done without the added expense of benefit packages and other costs associated with a new full-time hire.More workers have also turned to do freelance work as it helped bring in income for jobs that were lost during the pandemic. According to a survey conducted by Upwork between June and July of 2020, 36% of the American workforce had freelanced in the previous 12 months. 12% started freelancing during the pandemic (54% out of necessity) and 75% in search of financial stability. Of those that were surveyed, 88% said they are likely to freelance in the future. In general, workers are also looking for a flexible work environment. More people have an interest in doing a variety of work and are looking to be able to control their schedule. According to a recent Monster survey, 92% of respondents said they think now is a good time to look into a gig economy. 57% of respondents also said they would take a gig job in-between jobs and 52% said they would like a long-term contract with flexible hours. All of these reasons are the cause for the increase in demand for temp help. Whether it is the demand for COVID-19 jobs or the way the pandemic has caused the workforce and employers to shift the way they are used to doing things. In the process, we’ve adapted to these changes and it has brought on new opportunities for both workers and employers.Cause of Increase in Remote WorkAs we all know and have probably experienced it at one point or another, there has been an increase in remote work. I personally never worked remotely fulltime, until March hit. Now I’ve been working remotely for the past 10 months and it has truly become the new normal. When I think back to the days, we all went into the office, it seems like so long ago now. Workers and employers are beginning to feel this same way, if they aren’t already feeling it. Remote work has become a new normal and it is here to stay in some capacity. From an employer stand-point, companies have seen that working from home can work. They’ve seen employees still able to complete their tasks and, in some cases, have seen an increase in productivity. Operating costs have also probably gone down as they are spending less money with employees working remotely (no more café snacks, employee lunches, etc.) With this, employers will be thinking about incorporating more work at home opportunities in the future and/or eliminating an office all together. According to a survey performed by Verizon, 86% of global companies believe the digital workplace will coexist with the physical workspace post COVID-19 and 78% expect to increase remote working.Employees have also gotten used to the work from home environment and prefer keeping it in some shape or form. This may include going into the office a few days a week or working remotely full-time. In a survey conducted by PWC, over half of employees (55%), want to work remotely three days a week or more.Remote work though is not just for permanent employees. The staffing industry has seen a rise in remote work from temps, since the pandemic started and it’s predicted that more temps will continue to work remotely post-pandemic. Employers who are used to temporary workers being on location, have learned that this doesn’t necessarily have to be the case. Not all temp jobs require the employee to work on location and the pandemic has proven that. This opens up significant opportunities for employers hiring temporary help.Opportunities it Brings for StaffingSo, what does the rise of temporary help and flexible jobs actually mean for the staffing industry? It opens up the door to new horizons. Now is the time to begin planning both your short and long-term strategy. Statistics show the workforce will be making this shift for the foreseeable future. By adapting to the change now, staffing companies can stay ahead of the curve. So where can you begin?Discuss Temporary Opportunities with Employers that Typically Hire Full-TimeThe rise of temporary help is not just for companies that employ contract workers. It can be a new opportunity for companies that typically look to hire full-time. If a client would be open to the idea of contract work, it could be a good opportunity to discuss the rise and benefits of it versus hiring a full-time employee. It’s not only less costly, as discussed early, but it opens the door to explore more qualified candidates that are looking for contract work. Not all positions may be suited for contract work, but it is certainly an avenue that can be explored if the client is open to it. To test the waters, you could even propose a temp-to-hire plan. If the contract worker ends up working out and they want to stay at the company, they can be brought on full-time.Flexible Jobs Add Another Layer of OpportunityAs temporary jobs are no longer just for companies that look to contract, flexible jobs are no longer just for permanent placements. As statistics have shown, more workers are looking to have the opportunity to work remotely. This brings new opportunity for both contract and permanent placements. It allows staffing companies to expand your search for qualified candidates outside of the state. It also offers the opportunity to find more qualified candidates based on their preference to work at home. There may be highly skilled individuals that you could be missing out on if they prefer not to work at a physical location. The opportunity to offer more flexible jobs will ultimately help increase the candidate pool. If a client would be open to remote work, now is a good time to discuss the increased interest in it and also the benefits. Not all jobs can be performed from home, but think about the jobs that could be and the opportunity it brings for the client.Take Advantage of the Industries in DemandThere are several industries in demand now that will continue to be in demand and offer opportunity to employ contract and/or remote workers. Below are just a few of theses industries that could bring new opportunities for staffing companies. As mentioned earlier, there has been an increase in COVID-19 related jobs. The pharmaceutical and healthcare industries are both booming and are in desperate need of assistance to meet the vaccine rollout demand. This is a great opportunity to partner with these industries and help them employ contract workers. The information technology industry also boomed in 2020 and will continue to spiral upward. These jobs have been more stable during the pandemic because they haven’t relied on having a physical location. Most IT jobs can be performed online and offer an agile work at home environment. There has also been an increase in helpdesk/PC support jobs as more organizations are working at home. With the rise of IT jobs and the flexible work environment they bring, it’s another great industry for staffing companies to explore.Customer Service representatives and call center agents have also seen an increase in demand in healthcare, IT, and online retail. As more businesses move virtual, there is a greater need for customer service help related to software and applications to help run teams remotely. More people are also shopping online, so there is a greater demand for online retail Customer Service Representatives. Customer Service Representatives can also offer the opportunity to work remotely.Industrial and Manufacturing have also seen increases in demand. Manufacturers that produce essential goods have needed to increase staff significantly since the start of the pandemic. If staffing companies haven’t already looked into manufacturing companies of essential goods, this could be an opportunity to employ contract workers. Manufacturers of non-essential goods are also beginning to increase production. Business orders for durable goods such as tools, appliances and new cars rose for eight months in a row. This shows manufacturers are increasing their goods production in anticipation of strong sales in 2021 and may need to hire more staff now or in the near future. These are just a few of the industries in demand now and for the foreseeable future. By doing research into industries that are booming and are expected to grow, staffing companies will set themselves up for future success. If they can incorporate contract and/or remote work into these industries, it will be a win, win.Running with OpportunityThe pandemic has certainly brought on it’s challenges this past year, but the silver lining is it’s brought some new opportunities for the staffing industry to take advantage of. Change can be scary, but now is the time to run with the opportunities that present themselves and prepare for the changing future!References:UpWork SurveyMonster SurveyVerizon SurveyPWC Survey

 96.

Finding the right Small Business ERP for your company
97. Small Business ERP is a unique category of enterprise software. It typically needs to have all the functionality of large corporate ERP software, but it needs to have as few clicks and screens as possible to ensure that the users are not overburdened with a lot of time spent entering data. The size of the business does not necessarily change the functionality required in the software. Rather, the small company often has a need for higher efficiency since they cannot afford the manpower to maintain the system. When you look at ERP software, there are three tiers of applications. Tier 1 is large multi-national software solutions, such as Oracle, SAP, and JD Edwards. Tier 2 is the mid-market level. These applications are suitable to businesses in the range of 50M to 250M. This is the sweet spot of the market. Like any bell curve, the mid-market has both the most customers, as well as the most product offerings. The last tier is the Tier 3 offerings which is the small business ERP category. These are systems suitable for 1 person start-ups to about the $50M level, although some of these products become inefficient if they have more than 20 users on the system. So while they claim to be Small Business ERP offerings, they are for the smallest of companies.Things to look for in Small Business ERP
98. When evaluating small business ERP solutions, it is important that you properly screen the potential software candidates to ensure you get a software that fits your business. If you don’t you will run into many different issues. Here are some tips:1. Make sure that the small business ERP software you are looking at fits into your niche.
99. 2. Make sure that the data entry is simple and efficient
100. 3. Make sure that the database platform can be managed by you or your staff
101. 4. Look at the support offerings of the small business ERP provider to ensure that it is tailored to your needs
102. 5. Determine that the small business ERP reseller provides enough training to properly get your staff up and runningLet’s discuss these points. First you need to make sure that the software you are looking at fits within the business model or industry that you work within. A retail store should not use a software designed for distributor. See what other customers that the software provider has worked with in the past and ask for specific examples of companies in your industry. You need to make sure that the users do not become slaves to the system. Make sure that the data entry screens are simple, efficient and do not require a lot of bouncing around to other screens to input simple things such as invoices or purchase orders. The heart of the system is the database. You need to make sure that the database does not require a full-time system admin to maintain it. It should be designed to be self maintaining and easily managed. Learn a little bit of the technical requirements from the Small Business ERP solution provider. You do not want to be in the situation where you need to bring in a specialized database administrator if later something goes wrong.Small Business ERP should have support designed for you the small business owner. You should easily be able to call in and immediately speak to a rep for support. You don’t want to have to wait for days to get answers. Be careful of small systems with small support staffs. Especially be wary where the system is developed and maintained by one or two people. Yes, they are also a small business, but it will be a big problem when they are not available to assist you.Lastly, you and your staff need to have enough training to properly operate the application. Do not skimp on this point. You need more training than you think. In fact, it would be good to plan on training to go live and at least one other training session a month after go-live to answer any questions and resolve any problems from a lack of knowledge. You won’t become experts on the system in a day, so plan on future training sessions. The future of Small Business ERP
103. The future of Small Business ERP seems to be one of two paths. There are those systems that will continue to be operating on a small network of computers and do quite well on them, such as QuickBooks or DBA Software. The other path is that of small business ERP companies such as NetSuite, who are leading the charge to bring small business ERP to the cloud. This means that you will have access to the application through a browser and no installed software will exist on your site. You are licensing access to a system that stores your data remotely and operates via an internet connection.People often are concerned with this model as your data lives somewhere else. The fact of the matter is it is probably safer there than on a computer sitting in your back room. The data center security policies and the high-levels of authentication that are enforced by cloud computing providers truly lock down your data and its accessibility. Whereas your server in your back room is often open to anyone who happens to wonder by. This seems to be riskier. Nonetheless, whichever path you choose, you can be assured that the small business ERP industry is continuing to grow and develop.

 118.

There is no way to avoid the fact that almost all companies, sooner or later, must include in their digital marketing activities. And with the demand for digital vendors exceeding supply, there are many opportunities for those looking to enter the field. So, what is all this fuss about? Read on to learn more about this fascinating and versatile field. What is the digital marketing? Somehow, digital marketing is not that different from traditional marketing: you have a product that you need to sell, and you’re looking for ways to interact with customers to build brand awareness and, ultimately, “close” a sale. Digital marketing implies, even more, roles and skills than marketing, and it is this flexible nature of the business that makes it so interesting. These are some general areas that a digital marketing professional will likely touch during their training or career:
119. Digital Marketing Basics
120. SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
121. SMM (Social Media Marketing)
122. SEM (Search Engine Marketing)
123. Email Marketing
124. AdSense
125. Video Marketing using YouTube
126. Google Analytics
127. Mobile Marketing
128. Affiliate Marketing
129. Content Marketing
130. ORM
131. It is a good idea to think about getting training in at least one or two specialty areas, unless you are in administration, in which case you probably need to know a little about all of them. What skills are in demand? The digital economy is debated in every corner of our lives, and it certainly does not go anywhere. There is a strong consideration in digital marketing compared to traditional marketing. Ninety-three of the online activity starts with a search engine and ensures the continued effectiveness of SEO as a superior marketing strategy, while around the eightieth of the citizens Americans, create a purchase on the Internet at least once a month. Anyone thinking of starting or leading a business needs to have a basic knowledge of digital marketing in order to convert clients. There is a lot of space for people looking to enter the world of digital marketing and related careers. According to Smart Insights, some of the most requested skills for 2017 were digital advertising, content creation, content strategy and social networks, which is great news for those who are oriented towards the creative, social and commercial end of the Spectrum. For those who have a more technical mind, there is still a lot of demand and a high-income potential for those who specialize in technology such as SEO and SEM, since this is what can be the basis of what generates profits in any business. Content marketing is based on traffic and anyone with technical knowledge to investigate these patterns is a valuable quality, especially because this type of work is much more advanced with the advent of artificial intelligence. Why choose a career in digital marketing? Digital marketing is a career that has a lot of space for technicians, creatives and business people. There are so many avenues that you can follow; It is best to focus on one or two things that you do better, so you can always learn more from there. If you have a business or communications background, you may want to consider entering the administration. This is a field that changes constantly and is attractive; there is always something new to learn. And if you work in an agency, you will always work with different clients, which means that you will probably never get bored. Beyond this, here are some more reasons to consider this career. There is a gap in digital skills: There is a growing demand for people with digital skills, particularly for those in the middle-income group, specifically soft skills, and according to this study, it is more pronounced in the United States. Therefore, continuing training in this area, even if you are not a technology expert, is a good idea to hold on to the foreseeable future. Versatility: if you choose a professional path or a specialization in this field and decide to pivot later, it is likely that you just need a little training to make the change. In this sense, you can take advantage of existing skills while learning new ones but still stay in the same field. Here there are many options and opportunities for continuous learning, where different skills are combined in different ways. The exchange usually evolves: because the trade grows and changes, there is always something new that attracts attention and can continue and learn, whether or not leading these initiatives or not. Since there will be a variety of specialists working in a particular agency, it is likely that you will work with professionals with a variety of backgrounds, and that everyone will have to come together to develop marketing strategies. Income: when a job has a demand, that means there are more opportunities to negotiate compensation, whether you work in the company or as an independent professional. As long as you “show” your work through the job search process, you can bid more and more the more experience you get. According to the Creative Group, content writers at the beginning of their career will probably start with a salary of at least $ 45,000 and a new SEO specialist will probably get approximately $ 50,000 to start. Be creative: not only are there many opportunities for creatives to do their thing in writing, design and even audio and video production, there is also a lot of space for everyday creativity in a general sense. You will always have to think of new ways to market products, solve problems and attract the public. Train at your own pace: you can start working on building this specific career now, from the comfort of your home and doing it your way. Take online courses, build a blog or website, work on your own social networks, obtain volunteer or independent work, and be on track to create a solid portfolio from the comfort of your own home. For most specialties, there is no need to spend thousands of hours and dollars in the classroom; you can really develop your skills and get training in a way that suits your lifestyle. Work with different people every day: you will always find something new to do in this field and you will have someone new to talk to. Whether it is a new client, a colleague with a notable specialty, or finding fun ways to involve and expand your audience, anyone interested in working with people can reach the social and commercial field of this career. And if it undergoes an additional self-examination, it will stay behind the scenes writing or running on the network. What types of people stand out in this field? All kinds of people can follow a career that touches marketing; It depends on your interests In general, it is not necessary to have a very technical training, although if you know something about web design or coding, it is likely to be ahead of the competition. Because this is such a dynamic field that requires continuous learning, it is necessary to be an entrepreneur, that is, be willing to continually learn new skills and techniques. For this purpose, you must be a creative problem solver. If you are curious, innovative, proactive, a natural, adaptable and creative leader with a good commercial sense; you probably do well in most areas in this field. How do you train as a digital marketing professional? If you already have experience in marketing management, advertising copywriting, Internet development or maybe style, you already have several transferable skills to participate in digital sales. You almost certainly have to start your own personal everything and make a portfolio to make your own distinctive digital presence. It is difficult to be aware of all the latest trends, but getting a solid knowledge of the basic principles of emerging trends such as AI and virtual reality in the context of how they are used for marketing is an excellent place to focus as well..You should definitely make sure your social media streams are consistent with your skills and abilities; In other words, talk about what interests you and learn publicly and as often as you can. Start a blog on Medium and join some Facebook groups in your field of interest. You will also want to look for a complete and reputable training program to obtain official certification in one or more central areas. Once you are officially certified, you will have an advantage among your peers when it comes to looking for satisfying opportunities. If you already have experience in marketing management, advertising copywriting, Internet development or maybe style, you already have several transferable skills to participate in digital sales. You almost certainly have to start your own personal everything and make a portfolio to make your own distinctive digital presence.

 146.

What makes you so memorable that you stick in people’s minds long after you’ve left the room?If you can’t answer that question quickly, you probably haven’t created a personal brand strong enough to be considered a business asset. You’re also not alone. It’s estimated that over 95% of business people haven’t bothered to create a personal brand. The other 5%, people like Donald Trump, Howard Stern, Gisele, Martha Stewart, have leveraged their personal brands into a competitive advantage. So has the person in your company who seems to defy the odds and get all of the promotions. And so has your competitor whose product is no better than yours but who magnetically attracts clients while you battle it out with the rest of the pack. And so has that industry ‘expert’ who gets the phone calls from the press for commentary.A strong personal brand has the ability to increase your value in the marketplace, raise your profile within your company, attract like-minded clients and customers who identify with your brand, and increase financial returns. And every day you don’t spend time cultivating and leveraging your own personal brand, you are creating missed opportunities.I worked with an executive who decided when he was in his 20s that he wanted to become the global CEO of a major organization. From that moment on, he considered his personal brand a business asset. While he wore the same blue suit, white shirt, and black loafers as everyone else in the company, he naturally stood out. Why?He was gregarious, he showed an interest in everyone he came in contact with, he asked a lot of questions, he went out of his way to support others, he built a strong network of people at all levels, he smiled more often than not, he found solutions, he showed up.All common behaviors of successful leaders. When people saw him, they saw a future CEO. He used that brand to set himself apart. It became his distinctive advantage. And he became a global CEO in his 40s.That’s what personal brands do. They build expectations of what you promise to bring to the game. And every time you deliver on it, your brand becomes more valuable. It sets you apart as the go-to person for the skills associated with your natural brand. Your value goes up.Whether you know it or not, you already have a personal brand. It may be an advantage, it may not be.The power is in knowing what it is, how people perceive it, and cultivating it every day to stand out from the crowd – even when you’re dressed like everyone else in the room. Here’s how to create an unforgettable personal brand that fires up your business success:ACCESS YOUR NATURAL BRAND ADVANTAGEThe most effective consumer brands are powerful because their central promise is built into the fiber of their organizations. Everything they do – from their products to their customer experiences and marketing messages – are all designed to articulate and reinforce their central brand message.Your personal brand is exactly the same. To be effective, it must communicate the values and behaviors at the core of your personality.Who am I? What value do I bring to the table? What sets me apart from everyone else? Your personal brand must answer these questions. The good news is the values that make up your brand are there. You just have to dig them out and take a good hard look at them.Think about the kids you grew up with. If they were asked to describe you, what would they say? That unvarnished truth about how you behaved consistently as a kid will give you a good indication of your starting point. To this day, I can go down the list of kids I grew up with and tell you exactly what their personal brands are:THE TOUGH COOKIE: Becky was the tough, take no prisoners tough cookie who backed up her challenges to ‘bring it’ with a few epic brawls that set her brand firmly in neighborhood lore.
147. THE OLD SOUL: Nonnie was the quiet, kind, and thoughtful girl who always chose to sit on her front stoop and read a book while raucous games of dodgeball and double-dutch played out before her.
148. THE GOLDEN BOY: Todd seemed to be able to effortlessly do it all — the football hero, the straight-A student, and the kid who was able to build a fort out of snow that could withstand any frenzied snowball assault. Why do I remember these people so clearly years later? They were consistent; what you saw was what you got. I knew if I wanted help with a troublemaker, Becky was my go to. If I wanted to sit and chill out, there was Nonnie. And if I wanted help conjugating a Latin verb, bring on the Golden Boy.Identify your natural brand advantage and you’ll reveal the behaviors that flow naturally from the values at your core. You’ll understand what you won’t do even under the toughest peer pressure, and what is so memorable about you naturally that it sticks in people’s brains even years later.DEFINE YOUR BRAND PROMISEDetermining what sets you apart is only a professional advantage if people can quickly recognize the promise of value that goes with it. Or, in other words, what’s in it for them? This is the promise that underpins your personal brand – the value you bring to an employer, colleague or client, consistently reinforced through all your interactions.Ask yourself what it is about your personal brand that makes someone’s life or business better, easier, happier, or more profitable. What expectations do you want your personal brand to build in the minds of the people you work with and for? And what can you consistently deliver on?Becky promised protection, Nonnie promised good conversation, and Todd promised to elevate my standing in the neighborhood simply by being a part of his inner circle. They all brought clear, consistent value to my life. This is how you become a go-to person. Communicate your brand promise clearly — and deliver on it consistently – and you’ll quickly rise to the rank of indispensable.MANAGE YOUR BRANDWith your clearly defined personal brand in place, consistency becomes the name of the game. Just as consumer brands build loyalty over time with consistent customer interactions – and lose it with one bad review – you must also put your money where your mouth is.Consistently reflect your personal brand values in everything you do. Not just in delivering your hard and fast KPIs, but also in how you interact with colleagues and clients everywhere from the boardroom to the water cooler. For your personal brand to be seen as an asset, people have to experience it over time so they can build a confident frame of reference as to what to expect when they interact with you. To leverage your personal brand, you have to think, talk, and act in a way that delivers consistently.People are looking for clues that they can trust you, that you mean what you say, and that you will deliver on that brand promise you made. Give it to them.ELIMINATE DANGER ZONESNone of us are perfect, and we all run the risk of falling into old behavior patterns or allowing negative emotions to drive reactive responses to stressful situations. This, of course, is part of being human. However, identifying and understanding your triggers will go a long way to keeping your personal brand on track even when the stress hits its hardest.Stay mindful that everything you do and say has an immediate impact on your personal brand and, just like a bad review, snapping at a colleague, letting down a client or losing focus on a project will threaten to topple your carefully constructed personal brand.Set aside a few minutes at the end of each day to evaluate how your behavior that day reinforced or detracted from you brand. Identify any negative behavior patterns that need busting, confront any emotions that are likely to send you into a downward spiral, and consciously de-stress.Most importantly, be kind to yourself in your lesser moments. We all fall off the wagon from time to time and behave in ways we’d rather not in hindsight. But take these missteps as opportunities to learn and grow, not as reasons for self-punishment.And remember, to master your personal brand, understand that talk is cheap. Say what you mean and do as you say.

 172.

As a business grows and the number of employees, clients, vendors, and partners increase, managing communications can become quite a task. Though professional small business IP-PBX phone systems come with a slight up-front investment, the cost savings tends to heavily outweigh the up-front cost as businesses grow beyond around 5 employees.Juggling communication via a standard phone system can not only become confusing, but also comes with high opportunity costs from business lost due mis-managed calls and unprofessional phone call processes. Small business PBX systems also eliminate the need for the expense of a receptionist since the system sorts and routes calls to the appropriate party or information automatically. The auto attendant feature allows companies to provide incoming callers with vital information, such as hours of operations, directions to the business and a short description of the company’s products and services.Throughout this article, we’ll explore some additional ways that small business IP-PBX systems may save your company money and reduce opportunity costs:Reducing or Eliminating Long Distance Charges with VOIPA VOIP Hybrid PBX system means that companies can place their long distance calls over the internet and avoid the pricey fees that come with long distance calls placed all over the world. Employees who work remotely are able to dial directly into the company’s telephone system and can use softphones to check their voicemail. The advantage of a VOIP hybrid system over a pure VOIP is because the hybrid uses standard copper wire telephone lines as well as a high speed internet for making and receiving calls. The pure VOIP system only used the internet, meaning if your online access goes down, the company may miss important calls. With the VOIP hybrid, companies avoid the prospect of the phones going out and becoming inaccessible to clients and prospective customers.Reducing Opportunity Costs Through Enhanced Organization and ProfessionalismA PBX phone system means that employees share a certain number of phone lines so that there is no need for pricey external lines that connect to each office’s telephone. Here we’ll take a look at other important PBX system features that will increase productivity and greatly improve your small businesses professional image.Standard Features Of Small Business PBX Systems
173. Auto fax detection in small business PBX eliminates the need for a separate fax line and saves money by automatically redirecting faxes.
174. Specific types of phone calls, such as long distance calls, are automatically routed to the line best suited to the particular calls using automatic route selection.
175. Clients and prospective customers can reach a live company representative instead of a voice mail box using a call cascade in small business PBX systems. Call cascade can be set up to redirect phone calls when an employee isn’t available
176. Call forwarding
177. With a call queue, customers can leave a message, remain on hold or return to the auto attendant. With small business PBX systems, employees are alerted if there is a call in the queue waiting for them
178. Conference call abilities that save money by eliminating the need to outsource those calls
179. Dial-by-name directory
180. Interactive voice response
181. The included voicemail system in small business PBX systems reduces the monthly fee associated with traditional phone companies
182. Voice paging system
183. Costly, long distance telephone calls by employees are eliminated with toll restriction
184. Transferring calls
185. Not every business may be ready for the advanced features of a small business IP PBX phone system, but businesses owners that are experiencing the growing pains of an expanding business, a professional small business phone system can streamline processes in several different facets of the company. For companies of 5 or more, an IP-PBX phone system can increase employee productivity, reduce time spent on office operations, save money, and present a more professional image to clients.

 200.

5 High-Impact Tips to Creating a Unique Brand Identity
201. When thinking of your product or service what comes to mind? What do people envision? What characteristics do they attach to what you provide? And does it stand out from your competitors? When building a memorable business brand, these are important questions to consider; otherwise, you risk losing valuable business because your brand isn’t differentiated enough from others who are going after the same target audience as you.Your brand should invoke an identity, an emotion, characteristics and something that makes you, you. This is where that differentiation comes into play – tapping into and relaying your uniqueness.Through brand marketing, we connect the consumer’s experiences and perceptions to your unique offerings. Your brand then becomes highlighted in their mind as they grow a connection to it and, ultimately, makes it much easier to convert them to loyal customers. Many brands offer similar things and, therefore, can become muddled in their marketing, which translates to a muted brand in this ever-growing sea of services and commodities.Never compare yourself to the competition but strive to be so unique that there is no comparison. This quote is so true because who you are can get you far! Meaning, how you choose to define yourself, your brand identity and all the branding that supports it will determine your success. Here’s where some work and investment come into play because you want to get it right from the beginning. To ensure your best ROI (return on investment) to be the most cost effective and efficient with your budget, consult a brand expert right from the start to develop your unique brand identity and strategy fully.Sadly, many small businesses or entrepreneurs just getting started try to go the more cost-effective route of attempting to do it themselves or paying a friend who “knows computers”, but often their efforts fall short and end up costing them more time and money in the long run.Not to mention lost sales due to their brand not resonating with their ideal target audience. When working with a brand expert, you will have a clear idea of what makes your brand stand out to attract the right people who are happy to pay for your products or services. You will also know how to apply your custom branding strategy for all your business marketing needs that includes your unique branding concepts, guidelines, logo, website, marketing materials, social media and print materials.READ:Why Cheap Websites Are More Expensive Than YYou ThinkDuring one of my usual jaunts on Facebook, I came across a post where someone was making the argument to invest properly in a website, and they listed all the reasons to do so.
202. Heck, I could have written that post myself! And as per usual, then came many responses that all pretty much said the same thing: “But what if I have no money?”Keep reading to discover why your website may be under-performing.Read more on our website.A brand with individuality has a unique competitive advantage.
203. Think of your favourite current products or services. Why are they your favourite? What makes them different? Does something stand out?For example, when we think of our favourite Boutique Inn or fitness center, it might be their logo, the range of services, their quality of product, the customer service, the people or the feeling you get from going there. These things alone are important but together make your product or service unique!Standing out can sometimes be thought of as a negative, but in branding it is the highest compliment.Embracing what makes you different is what makes you stand out. When you are authentic you will exude a vibe that attracts your tribe of supporters and will boost you to be the best.In order to stand out in today’s market, try these 5 tips:

 204.
Be authentic

 205.
Try not to compete with other similar brands but instead focus on you and your product or service.

 206.
Before developing a logo and website, make sure you fully evaluate your product or service and identify all the things that make your business unique so your brand is differentiated with your ideal target audience. It needs to resonate with them!

 207.
Integrate what makes you different into your branding, marketing, website, social media and physical space or product design.

 208.
Thrive in your vibe

 209.
A vibe is a feeling that expresses your uniqueness. It’s your brand voice. By capturing that vibe and incorporating your brand’s unique voice in all of your marketing materials, you will create an undeniable synergy.

 210.
Maintain your vibe in all that you do, right down to your social media posts, and continually check to make sure that what you are conveying is the vibe your customer is experiencing.

 211.
Don’t compromise your vibe for the current trends; always ensure you stay true to your brand identity.

 212.
Connect with your target audience

 213.
Now more than ever it’s important to not just provide a product or service, but create a community around it. This community of your ideal target audience and potential clients will become your tribe of loyal supporters.

 214.
Much like the TV show Survivor, your tribe can “vote you out” so it is important to foster those relationships and connect with your community in an authentic way.

 215.
Social Media presents an opportunity to grow your tribe and future loyal customers by engaging with them in new ways. On these platforms you can create groups, pages, stories, share photos and videos so they learn more about you while you also learn more about them. This information, connection and engagement is invaluable.

 216.
Strive to be the best

 217.
Of course, you want to be the best product or service available but beyond that ask yourself how you can be better? Often thinking about how you can create a memorable brand experience can help elevate you to the next level.

 218.
Provide the highest quality of service, product, support, and customer care possible. It’s amazing how many brands fall short in these vital areas and lose a lot of business as a result. Here’s your chance to shine above them and win over these new customers!

 219.
Going above and beyond will automatically make you stand out. Your loyal customers will not only continue to buy from you, they will also refer you to others.

 220.
Be Empathetic

 221.
Put yourself in your customers’ shoes to better serve them. Unlike sympathy, which is feeling compassion, empathy means imagining yourself in another person’s situation. The more your potential customers realize you “get” them and understand what they are going through, the more they will trust you to do business with.

 222.
Tap into your ideal client’s emotional triggers. What emotions drive your customers’ behaviour?

 223.
Listen to your customers. A 2018 study by M&C Saatchi reveals how 18% of consumers had stopped using a brand because of a broken promise. Are you following through with the quality and service that your customers deserve?

 224.
Remember and respect differences. People from different geographic locations, generations and genders aren’t all going to necessarily want the same thing from you. By developing unique marketing personas, you’ll have a much better idea of how to approach-and appeal to-your audience by offering them relevant services and content they will appreciate receiving from you.

 225.
While there are many other ways to stand out, these brand-building strategies will make the biggest impact.Along with an expert, create a foundation by clearly differentiating your brand and building a memorable brand identity that you can apply to all that you do.Your uniqueness is something to harness and incorporate throughout your branding in order to capture your current and potential customers.By being authentic, creating a vibe, connecting to your tribe and striving to be the best you undoubtedly will stand out in the sea of mediocrity. We’re a full-service brand, marketing and web development agency that can create your unique brand identity and boost your brand presence to be so attractive your pipeline will be full so you can make more money you can spend! 240.

So you’re new on board and have landed yourself a plum manager job, one of several general manager jobs that your company had vacancies for, but you don’t know what to do and how to go about things. You have all the theoretical knowledge and know how about being a manager, but practically, the situation is quite different and you don’t know what to do.Well, my friend, this is the situation faced by every new manager, whether you’ve taken on sales manager jobs, project manager jobs or operation manger jobs or even, the aforementioned general manager jobs! It’s nothing new, every manager has to go through it and you will too! But, to help you out, here are a few myths about being a manager unraveled for you!Management Myths• A mistake which every new manager makes is that he believes that he can frame and implement new policies of his own free will. But, that’s a myth and you need to bust it! A new manager throwing his weight around will just earn resentment from his subordinates. Did you ever consider the fact that your new policies could annoy or even offend various departments? You should at best make suggestions to the top management and implement your policies through them!• You do not have absolute authority as a new manager! Yes, that’s true; the myth about having power or being “the boss” is just that, a myth. You need to earn respect from your peers and from your direct subordinates and obviously your own boss. That is a measure of your success in manager jobs.• Control is one hell of a word. It isn’t really easy to control your direct reports because, though you might be in a position superior to theirs, their knowledge and experience far outweigh yours. Plus, your direct reports will, more often than not, have the best interests of your company at heart, so try not to overrule them too often.• Your opinion is supreme. That is a myth you really need to bust! Managers are employees who help to keep things running smoothly. You should only repeat processes if they give you fruitful results and find favor with everyone on the team. Not because they are profitable for the company or you! Being a manager always means that you have to pay special attention to the human aspect of things.• Coordinating team work – A great manager is one who can smoothly and effectively run a team. It is quite easy to extract the best performance from your subordinates. They are most talented anyway! But, everyone knows that a team performs better than a single individual and you will only be successful as a manger if you can make sure that your team of performers is well coordinated!Manager jobs aren’t too many in a company, this is because it takes special talent to be a manager and run things. But, attached to the management jobs are a few myths and as a new age manager you have to bust them!
