As someone who has dealt with a foot injury, feet are not a fun thing to be dealing with, especially for a big man like Reiman.

Yet, Gannon doesn’t seem overly concerned, but we also know they are incredibly private with any injury issues with players.

So, maybe we pay close attention to how he is next Wednesday on the injury report.

Meanwhile, rookie linebacker Cody Simon is expectedly out after suffering a concussion in his NFL debut. With Simon out, we will see if the Cardinals continue to roll with more safeties than linebackers in games, especially this week with the Carolina Panthers coming to town.

Tip Reiman is dealing with a foot injury, and that could change how often the team can go into their 12 and especially their 13 personnel.

Reiman is not the only one of concern on the injury report heading into Friday.

We will likely still await the return of Will Hernandez, but he is getting closer.

Tindall (6-2, 236) played 44 games over the past three seasons with the Dolphins after entering the league with Miami as a third-round selection (102nd overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft from Georgia. He also played in two postseason contests with the Dolphins.

Of course Schefter means Arizona, not Atlanta in game two, but that is neither here nor there.
Happy Tuesday one and all.

The Arizona Cardinals are 1-0 on the season, they had a decent game, a lot of things to continue to build on, but they did have one shining star on Sunday, and that was Will Johnson.

The Cardinals second round pick was a standout in his NFL debut against the New Orleans Saints, and was getting praised nearly universally.

So, how would we quantify how Will Johnson did in game one?

Let’s take a look at some of the numbers, thoughts and plays coming out of game one about Will Johnson on Sunday.

Will Johnson among CBs on Sunday:

🔒 90.3 coverage grade (2nd)
🔒 3 forced incompletions (2nd) pic.twitter.com/TcL3YmmYaW
— PFF (@PFF) September 8, 2025

Great coverage grade via PFF.

Cardinals rookie CB Will Johnson in his NFL debut:

– targeted 7 times
– allowed just 4 catches for 32 yards
– had 3 passes defended
– had an INT called back because of a penalty far away from the play
– this crunching hit

Stone cold baller.pic.twitter.com/Hmfh4kapr2
— Field Yates (@FieldYates) September 8, 2025

There were two highlights from Will Johnson, one ended up not counting after an egregious illegal contact penalty on the other side of the field, and then of course this play.

Will Johnson Jr. was locking it down on Sunday pic.twitter.com/lHuDQUH6mQ
— Billy M (@BillyM_91) September 8, 2025

Billy does a nice job of highlighting the tape, and the plays that led to the praise. It was a great start to the season and the career for Will Johnson.

Let’s hope the trend continues on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

The Arizona Cardinals won their game over the New Orleans Saints, but my buddies over at “The Ringer” were not impressed.

In their weekly power rankings, they have the Cardinals at 22.

From “The Ringer”:

I struggle to gin up excitement for a team when it beat the league’s worst group by a single score, and the way Arizona’s offensive line was tossed around on inside runs doesn’t bode well, given how unimpressive New Orleans’s defensive front is on paper.

Kyler Murray’s connection with receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was the brightest spot for the Cardinals offense, and that pair needs to connect on deep throws on a weekly basis to get defenses to back off from the run game.

The Cardinals are not going to get the benefit of the doubt until they start winning games in either convincing fashion or beat good teams.

So, this week, with the Carolina Panthers coming in ranked 30th, they’ll need to show something more impressive if they want to move up some spots.

We rarely get to see a Victory Monday on the season opener, and now that we have the Arizona Cardinals sitting at 1-0, we can enjoy for the week.

In game one, we saw some good, some bad and a lot of just getting by.

Let’s take a look at five of the winners from game one and three of the players we would like to see a little more from next week.

Winners

Marvin Harrison Jr. – We can say let the breakout commence, but a lot people also way oversold how “bad” last year was. MHJ came out and looked really, really good in week one and put up a statline that would be heaven as his averages for the season with five catches for 71 yards and a touchdown.

Trey McBride – The Batman to MHJ’s Batman, the two headed monster of the Arizona Cardinals passing game looked like we had hoped for… Maybe even expected.

Paris Johnson Jr. – He is turning into one of the best in the NFL before our eyes. What a fun player.

Will Johnson Jr. – What a debut for Johnson. He looks like the real deal, now it’ll be about stacking games, but he was one of the best rookies to play in all of the NFL in week one. Something that Cardinals fans had hoped they would see.

Budda Baker – He continues to play at a high level, even as he gets older and older. He lead the team in tackles and was again a playmaker in the biggest moments.

Losers

Darius Robinson – Just looked like he wasn’t in game shape as of yet. But not the start we were hoping for in 2025.

Isaiah Adams – Again, one game, but the Cardinals rushing attack looked listless in the opener and the guard play was a major reason as to why.

Evan Brown – See above.

There are things we should be excited about, and things we are hoping to see improve after week one, but 1-0 is the best thing to come out of week one.
