24.

 25.
Inspired by this meme that got shared by user tempural

Three Ships: Vash X Knives (trigun), Orlox X Mizark (Castlevania Nocturne) and this one is hard cause Im going out of the three ships is Loki X Sylvie X Mobius, or even Thor X Loki from the MCU

First Ship: Kai X Rei from the First Generation Beyblade anime, you never forget your first ship. I never bother to follow the series that came after that.

Last Song I Listened to: Feeling it Creeping by David Hale, found this one on accident. it was a viral videos about Slashers having fun at a spirit halloween. its kinda catchy

Last Movie: Freaky (2020), a comedic bodyswap story but this time it involves a serial killer

Last Series: Loki, the series finale is going to air this week! Can´t wait.

Curently reading: Vampire Hunter D: Tyrant´s Stars Part 3 and Part 4. Honestly I wish the rest of the book series got an adaptation besides Bloodlust

Last Consumed: Chocolate and Mint Ice Cream

Craving: A sandwitch currently, which i´m about to make one myself.

comments

 35.
Happy Halloween!

 36.

 37.
Another year another Halloween, am I right?

Sadly I did not wear a costume, again Halloween is more seen as an american Holiday. Did see a lot of kids going to school in costume though.

I mostly spent it watching movies an dplaying spooky games. I´ve also finished writing the conten for my Pokemon Halloween Page.

Finished the text now I need to the graphics. I was going to to post it on Halloween, but sadly I was too busy so Im probably gonna end up uploading it off season.

This year for my website I decided to do something smaller, I know last year I did an entire Halloween page for the Yesterweb Trick or Treat Project, ( well before that community imploded in a bad way.) Also the video game section of my Monsters Libary Page was due to have an entry.

As for my anual consumption of spooky media here´s what I´ve got so far

Movies

The Chucky as well as the Child Play Series (not very scary but i find the concept of a serial killer as a doll hilarious

The Evil Dead Triology (this one is wildd, imagine it starting off as more traditional horror, only to end as a Isekai)

The first Friday the 13th (I did not expect the ending, i thought jason was gonna play a much bigger roll, and I watched it on a actual Friday the 13th

Creepshow (Stephen King is on this Movie

The Halloween Tree ( a classic Halloween cartoon special, I was more on this one for the spooky visuals, it has its charms.

Castlevania Nocturne (i was actually excited for this one, I loved Orlox and I excited we´re getting to see Alucard again!)

Halloween With Addams Family (oldschool but cute, the family ends up scaring a bunch of crooks by accident)

House Of Villains (A house of mouse halloween special, I always loved this show, specially when you have like Chernabog and Maleficent, together? I ship it)

Games

Ooblets, ( They finnally arrived on steam, its a cute farming sim that mixes Monster collection elements. They have their own Halloween event with exculsive furnite and ooblets to colect)

Animal Crossing GameCube (Jack is in town, and I had to avoid the villagers if wanna give candy to get furniture)

Pumpkin Jack (Need I say more, it screams Halloween, and plays like Medevil)

Stubs the Zombie (Its an overtope horror comedy where you play as the Zombie! It also makes fun of old movies and 50s culture)

The Ghost Master (Control your own crew of Ghosts, scare people)

Grim Fandago (oldie but a goodie. A point and click adventure game where you´re in the after life)

Graveyard Keeper (maintain a graveyard, sell people corpse meat if you dare)

FreeSO (A revival of the Sims online game, player have went all out and decorated their plots also you gotta expel Zombies)

I do wish I had more time to do seasonal stuff, but some reason this Month I ahd other stuff on my Mind, I´m think of extending it toward November, at least ot stave that weird Christmas creep that shows too early. There decorations in octorber. October.

So i might put my recomendations here. There so mnay pther horror movies I havent gotten around to watch after all.

Anyway Happy Halloween.

comments

 51.
Fall Has Arrived

 52.

 53.
Fall weather sure took its sweet time, so much I managed to get a few extra beach days in. But now we´re dealing a bunch of stormy days.

So, recently my dad had to go the hospital for surgery, he´s now back home (not that this doesnt make him any less grumpier than usual). and I´ve been watching a couple of horror movies to celebrate halloween month.

Mostly Evil Dead and the Child´s Play series, which i think fall more the comedic side of horror. I´m also close to finish watching Castlevania Nocturned.
I was pleasantly suprised how Orlox´s story went as character, it was interesting, I like the idea that even vampires have differents values among themselves. It can kind of boring to see them all be chaotic evil, so.

I´m also currently trying to see If I can at least code a single halloween page for my site. i already did the trick-or-treat websurf thing last year, well before I became disenchanted with the Yesterweb community. So might as well do something else.

I´m also thinking of checking out a certain horror RPG that is making waves lately, called the Coffin of Andy and Leyley where the main characters are a pair of murderous siblings. I might write a review for my gaming blog once I´m done with it. i heard good things about it.

Been to bluesky for a few days, things seem ok i guess, however there´s been an issue where bots would simply grab codes that people were openly sharing online , result less than stellar acounts on there. Seriously people just share your codes in DMs or with a online friend you trust.
While I guess you could consider it a bit of a improvement over the other blue site, it still has a few kinks to go trought.

Speaking of the other blue site, The Amazing Muskrat wants people to play in order to post, like that is gonna end well.

And speaking of which, I saw a bunch of online mutuals of mine dealing with harrassment from non other than bogleech both on tumblr and twitter ( he´s send death threats again?) I remember mentioning how heartbroken I was at his actions last year. How come someone is a horror artists be playing as the fiction police. Honestly the dude has been throwing a tantrum over fandom discourse for days. Days! This dude has no life I tell ya.
And people finally found out about the riské fanart he shared lol. I knew he had some skeletons in his closet, yet thinks he is above is own standards. It is unfortunate, that he is still kind of a popular tumblr blogger there, even I´ve blacklisted his name his posts are still shared everywhere, and you gonna deal with his unhinged fans that will send you suicide bait if you so much as critize him. And he turns to be a huge transpbhobe too. Yikes.

As "in i´ll be erasing the queer identidies of people who disagree with me", type of transphobe. And to think he is a grown ass man who is married to a non-binary person.
So he should know better.

At least that gooseworxs person seem to have a good head on their shoulders, I´ve watch the new Amazing Digital Circus Pilot. It seem fun and wacky, but with a dark undertone.

However I´m scared to go into the fandom, because I know the kind of people its gonna attract. Some have even started drama over harrassing one of the voice actors and I think I just stick to watching the show, and ocassionaly reblog fanart from online friend s they draw about it.

still I try to think on the positive and focus and the fun character designs.

Yeah that is about it from own necks in the woods on the internet for today. I guess I´ll be positing again I a couple of weeks, or whene ver I feel like it.

comments

 70.
The Start of Fall

 71.

 72.
Technically fall has started, but it still like summer, so much so i still managed to go to the beach this week, even though the sea was too agitated to go for a swim. Perks of living in a coastal area I guess.

So how are things going on in my life lately. Let´s see I decided to get off my ass and start learning how to cook properly. I realize at this point it my life, it feels embarrassing not to know.

Its actually been that way for most of my life I feel like I'm a slow learner when it comes to basic life skils, and playing catch only learning stuff that people have already figured it out at certain life stages. I know I shouldn't be hard at myself, but its something that i have hard time admitting to other people.

Also another person in my family fell sick, my Dad, however its not related to our illness, but something to do with his digestive system going out of wack. he went to the Doctor and is now taking some meds so he should be fine.

That is for my daily musings on for the other stuff.

I finally finished playing Lux Pain, this after a decade to giving up half way, it ended too early though. Turns out I got the regular ending .The true ending has at least two more chapters to go through. I´m gonna see if I can try again one of these days, specially since it has a game plus mod after you complete it for the first time.

During the weekend I may have played Breath of the Wild on an PC Emulator for 6 hours straight, Finally found the first shrines and got out of that goddamn plateau, and this after three Months of procrastinating. I unlocked the bomb rune, and now i´m having way too much fun throwing at enemies.

One thing i like to do is find a hill near an enemy camp, throw the bomb, detonate it, then rise and repeat till all are dead. And I don´t even need to waste my weapons on them.

To end this entry, I sorta caved in and finally joined bluesky out of curiosity, courtesy of an only mutual who just happened to have an invite. I know I did point out somewhere here that I was getting tired of making all this socmed accounts, trying to find better alternatives or trying to keep in contact with everyone from friends to fave artists.
And how I was content with just using mastodon, as the twitter alternative.

Not to mention by initial skepticism or distrust of how bluesky is going to be handled. I guess I can say so far my experience has not been negative, well for now, and it might be due to the whole waitlist to get there and the lack of a central algorithm.

But time will tell if the vibe will remain the same once it gets out of beta and becomes open to the wilder public.

I might talk about this site in a future post once I get the hang of it. So for now I´m just enjoying the vibes.

comments

 85.
September is here once again

 86.

 87.
September is here and with it people are coming back to work/school while other are finally using this as their vacation month after a couple of busy summer months.
Its also that weird month where you feel like its supposed to be fall, but its summer.

As for me I feel like I have done fuck all and it feels like I´m still recovering from being sick. As in it killed my motivation. that being said its not all bad.

So i fixed my 3DS but noticed the battery isn´t lasting a long as I wanted it too. Like I´d play for like an hour and then the battery would drain, and I could only play with the charger plugged which defeats the purpose of it being a mobile device.

Turns out I probably have to calibrate it by charging and lets it drain a couple of times, since its a thing that happens with newly installed batteries. Still its not as long as i wanted it to be. But i dont trust most of the other selllers. And I´m only just finding out that the battery used for a nintenndo switch controller is compatible with the 3ds. Same one. If only I knew that before buying. Ah well. i probably also dont see myself bringing the 3ds outside that often.

Managed to install a couples of games. Ones I wanted to play but didnt have the money since most of it was going towards my college education at the time. I realized ironically I´ve turned my phone into an emulator/retro gaming device. It could even play pokemon moon. But i still prefer the official hardware.

I´ve got the taiko drum games, yokai watch, rythm heaven megamix, world ends with you, I even installed a bunch of educational language learning games. I´ve been wanting a refresher on french. May this might be useful.

But my favorite game I´m having a blast with is Lux Pain. I was really found of it ever since I played it on the computer. But never got to finish it, specially with how clumsly the scribbling minigames sections were with a mouse.

Its one of the most interesting visual novel games I´ve played. I think it being a psychological horror mystery, helps. I also love some of the small things, like the online forums you get to read everytime you visit the internet cafe. Its really a product of its time.

I might do a more throughout review once I finish playing it. It´s a shame its an obscure game. If there is a game that would make for a decent anime adaptation is this one.

Also after postponing I finally started reading on Witch Hat Atelier, and I. LOVE. IT. I love the art, the world building, the magic system (which resembles the same system used in the owl house, was the creator of the show inspired by this?) then again sigil magic has been a trope in a lot of fantasy sotries. i think its how that tropes is applied here that makes it unique.

I lovedhow they aproach some of the themes, it does serve as bit of commentary on unjust systems. The whole turns out that you need to be born with powers to be a witch is a lie, and anyone can do it if they have the knowledge and the tools, which makes for an iinteresting twist.

But then it poses a question about who should it be allowed acess, and what happens it if gets misused. Since magic can be both used to help and destroy. But on the other side of the coin it shows how the strictness of this gatekeeping can hurt people, specially those who need magic the most. Like some one with disabilities, or how unforgiving the magic authorities are if someone so much as makes a tiny slip up, even a child.

Not to mention how it fails victims of magic misuse. its one of those morally ambiguous stories that dont have a clear cut answer and i wanna see where this story is gonna go next.

comments

 102.
Feeling Better

 103.

 104.
Well shit, I got sick as well. I ended spending the week just resting and eating hot soup. Fortunently we´re all feeling a bit better now.

But still I had to put my blaugust posts on hold, and I still don´t feel up to it. Not to mention how it sucks getting sick in the summer.

The good news I finally got my battery and got my 3DS working again, which is grea, I get to my Nintendogs and my old Animal Crossing Town, and I can finally start working on Modding it. Althought I will only do it once I recover completly.

In the meantime I´ve been doing some bingewatching. Just started watching Ragnarok whose just aired its third season! I´ve only watch two so far, really enjoying the weird family dynamic between Laurits and is weird giant tapeworm son. I plan on enjoying this one a bit slowy, wanna make it last.

But the show I´ve recently got obessed with is the Harley Quinn series. This has actually been on my backlog, since I only watched season 1 and three episodes for season 3. As far as an adult show with queer characters go and deals with super villains, it was fun.

I certainlty did not count on the Joker as a family man I´ll give them that, and how they dealt with Ivy´s and Harley´s relationship. And oh boy do i love me some messy romances.

comments

 117.
Still with Problems, But there´s good news

 118.

 119.
Yeah, family members still sick. My sisters says she´s feeling a bit better, but I have to keep insisting her to go to bed and rest. Not to mention the weather isn´t great these past days. It´s been windy.

And also my blog feed to my neocities site is still not working. I´ve contacted support but I´m waiting for an answers. Did I mess up the tags again?

That´s the negative part going on my life now for the happier part.

Good news, the new battery I ordered for my 3ds is well on its way, I got a phone call confirming my adress and I should get it on Monday baby!
God I hope this will finally get the console working, I suspect its the battery that went caput.

See I plan on try and hack the 3ds throught this guide. Ever since I´ve heard how easy it is to do I´been wanting to do it, since I wanna try some homebrew stuff, and also since the official eshop is now closed I feel it´s only morally correct to pirate those games for archival purposes. Also I´ve seen some nice user made fan wallpaper, I wanna do so much more with my 3ds.

You can even emulate older consoles imagine that.

I also just received a bunch of premanent markers for drawing purposes. I´ve been delaying practicing my art skills, so myabe this might be the thing to motivate me to do so.

comments

 132.
Its not just my Mom who fell ill, but sister as well who seems to have come with something. Yep I probably Have reason to be worried.

I´m gonna have to assume I might have caught it, except I have yet to show symptoms, so yeah the trip to the Viking event is probably cancelled.

Well silverlining is that it doesnt seem like Mom is getting worse,, but still. I dunno if I´m up to work on my other projects this week. I´m probably gonna just play some videogames, and constantly monitor them and hope things improve.

comments

 141.
This week in my life

 142.

 143.
So I made plans with family for us to visit this viking themed festival, seeing I spent some time visiting a medieval fair and another which was ancient roman themed, I even got a cute necklace at the fair-

But sadly those plans might not happen because my Mom just got sick, I hope its not too serious. But this Covid Pandemic has got me on edge, I´ve been checking up on her and giving her soup. And she´s been resting so maybe she might get better in a couple of days? I hope.

Also for some reason the feed of this blog on my website stopped working, I went to the section and all the feed posts, just gone. Either its a fluke and it will get back soon or I will have to figure some alternative way to make it make it work or I scrap the whole thing and just start hosting and posting post manually.

As for what would happen to this dreamwitdth blog, I dunno turn it into a full fandom blog, or something?

Seriously at this while all of this is happening, it´s suprising I´ve managed to post a single blog post for Blaugust at all. I promised I would try and post at least once a day this year, and it seems to be failing. Only had 5 posts so far, and we´re in middle of august.

To be fair the other reason is because I procastinated and decided to spend a week in the beach, it was really good weather out there good for swimming. And I don´t get a lot those days around here.

The one few positive things that are happening is that I started playing the first animal crossing game on an emulator. Its been fun so far, maybe not with all the bells and whistles of the newer versions but I do find the villagers more entertaining. They are just so mean its hilarious.

I also been checking out Palia. It´s ok I guess, Its not exactly innovating when it comes to a farmsim. I think the main draw is mostly through it social aspect however I haven´t exactly found someone to play it with. That and its free to play.

It´s currently on beta and free to play if anyone is curious about it. I even got a referral code, character name is Liam Winters if anyone wants to add me (yes you can give a first and lastname, ironically this the name of one my ocs).

But yeah I could use a game like thing seeing how things are going right now.

comments

 156.
Famous Poet Writes Fanfic

 157.

 158.
So recently people woke to find this post:

And the fandom went to chaos. Frankly I wanna know his AO3 username. I´m curious to see his fanfics.
It is kinda comforting seeing a professional author admitting that he too partakes in it, specially in since there are people who there who still fanfic as an inferior form of art.

And it is fun.

Also the irony I didn´t even knew who he was until this, I´m late to the party. But turns out he´s a very popular poet, to the point fanfic writers have even used his verses in their titles. And there even a character reading his book Crush on heartstopper, which is even more ironic considering Alice Oseman´s errr... very negative views when it comes to BL manga.

He was also very veryyy active in the Sherlock Fandom.

I´m gonna add him to my reading list.

And of course I bet a certain group of fancops were probably fuming at the mouth because he admitted to writting wincest. To which his response in the matter is that it´s only fiction.

Funny that, I´ve been telling people this for ages. Also its comforting being reminded that the so called average even normal people just don´t give a fuck. I mean look at the sucess of House of the Dragon.

So yeah sucks to be them if their favorite poet thinks they´re nuts.

comments

 183.
Participating in Blaugust again

 184.

 185.
It´s been a while, but after I figured out why I had trouble posting I´ve started using my wordpress blog again.

And I know what some people might think, don´t already use blogging service like dreamwidth anyway, why do you need another blog?

Well for one I already had a wordpress blog way before dreamwidth, and second this place is more for my weird thoughts, generic blog while the wordpress one is more of a hobby blog, where i review games, or so case my hobbies.

It´s a more specific blog.
Also I´m using dreamwitdth as a blog for my personal website, through using a tutorial , mostly because I´m too lazy having to code a post by hand updating the page every time i do it.

I´m also doing Blausgust Again this year is you wanna read it on wordpress , which is an event where bloggers are challenged to write post for the entire month, and you it allows to foster a community with other bloggers.

It was kinda fun, also I got more people to check my blog out of it.

That being said I was wondering if I was going do this year to the lack of inspiration, and again wordpress going off the shits.

Byt the way if you have a dreamwidth blog, you can participate in it too, any blog hosting service will do, even tumblr probably. I guess they´re trying to encourage and keep old style blogging alive somewhat, specially when social media as we know is going through a crisis.

Of course this mean I will be delaying some site updates for while.

comments

And the bird watching gods must be smiling upon me because I got to saw one very cool bird.

Meet the Euroasian Hoppoe (Upupa epops) :

Source: Noah Markus

This incredible looking bird gets it´s name from the sound it makes, it´s also a migratory bird travelling to norht africa in the winter while going up to Europe and Asia in the warmer months, to repoduce and for food.

And yes these guys enjoying digging in the soil with their beaks in search of bugs.

What I did not expect was finding it here in this town of all place! Usually they tend to show up more in south of the country.
And its a very cool, just watching them flying with black and white pattern, beautiful.

And to think it had to be the one day I didn´t brought my canon camera with me. Noooo.

Another cool bird I got saw that day was kingfisher, two of them in fact! These guys are very elusive and hard to see, but thanks to the park´s lake it seems to serve a santuary for all kinds of wildlife.

Summer really is the best season for birdwatching.

comments

 211.
The Sequel To Tiffany G

 212.

 213.
So it´s that time of the year again and as always the OTW Board elections are coming up. And I never been glad to have donated since it allows me to vote.

But boy it has been some weird couple of days specially when the Archive of our own is involved.
Some group of hackers managed to send a bunch of DDOS making impossible for anyone to acess the site, send a ton of users panicking.

I myself regreted not finishing up up saving my fave fics, fortunently it was solved and the hardworking volunteers have put new measures into place to protect it.

Now the group that did this claims to be some sort of extremist muslim group called Anonymous Sudan, however turns out it was a front for some other group, my bet is probably the Russians who often target western sites in order to sow discord.

And now we get this

Last year, I mentioned here about the Tiffany G situation. This time a new Player has entered the Ring, an upstart called Audrey Richards.

And she´s... drum roll please... A FREAKING REPUBLICAN!

Feel free to click the link here, to learn a bit more

Godamn it. And looking a bit more into her background, I don´t want no Karen style "Think of the children" types anywhere near the board.

Seriously, can all these jackasses stop trying to subvert fandom archives for 5 minutes!?

On a more hopeful note, maybe she will lose, I´ve been reading the other candidates throught this very helpful compiled sheet the competition is something fierce. I´m leaning towards Anh P, as i liked what they had to say in terms of making the archive more acessible as well their thoughts on relying in just one archive for fanwork preservation.

Fingers crossed on how the election goes.

EDIT:

Ironically shortly after I posted this I found out that Audrey has resigned. Good news everyone!

So we can all now breath in relief and just focus on voting the candidated we think it´s best for the job.

Also I think it´s interesting in how she is framing this, I didn´t realized that being an informed voter, reading throught all the candidates interviews and doing a background check just to make this is the person we wanna vote and warn other if we find anything sus, is a "witch hunt" now.

For crying out loud she supports a political party who this past year has been trying to target queer people, and now she´s upset that queer people and their allies don´t want people like her in their space. Please.

I just wanna make a disclaimer, that no I don´t think there is a conspiracy where republicans are trying to send out one of their own to destroy one of the few anti-censorship sites we have for fandom.

I do think that she was just one individual doing this out of her own volation, and someone who is overconfident, incompetent and naive at best.

comments

 227.
I just remembered that we´re at the start of the Festas Populares Season! Depending on which City you´re either celebrating São João (Saint John) São Pedro (Saint Peter) and Santo António (Saint Anthony)

People have start decorating their windows and balconies and the cities has decorative lights. Yesterday my city decided to make an even out of it, celebrating the opening of the lights.

I also had the opportuniy to eat out at an a gastronomy fair, I ate some bifananas (its basically a bread bun with pork myth and some sauce) it was delecious, havent had the joy of eating this in ages.

However it has been very windy today, not a very pleasant day for the beach, have you see how thin our sands are? Not my idea of fun.

comments

 238.

 239.
Last Weekend I had the Opportunity to visit a Medieval Fair, it in a local fort. Tehre lvie reanctement (I got to see sword fighting), live medieval music among other things.

I Even got to See Birds fo Prey, and visit some of the stalls.

I also saw ducks, in another part of town with a dozen of pigeons all inside a cage.

I do wish I could´ve gotten there early, but something came up. Oh well maybe next time. This Summer there are gonna be plenty of Similar events, there´s this one, where that is themed after ancient Romans and Celts in a historical, site I plan to go next month.

comments

 251.

 252.
God I´ve missed this, I´ve started revisiting certain 90s/2000s classics like Nightwalker and maybe might plan to rewatch Utena or even trinity blood.

So much so I decided to started working on one of my site library entires that I´ve been procrastinating for a while.

And boy is Nightwalker: Midnight Detective fun, you have all this vampire noir goodness, with a cool soundtack nice dark gritty atmosphere.
I think it may have influence my sense an aesthetic. See i always wanted to wear a red ribbon on my shirt, and maybe have introduced to me to the visual kei genre through Buck-Tick, to what ocs i like to make

I don´t think i ever been this excited for a project in months. I´ve been slowy rewatching the episodes, to make sure I get my information correct.

I also finally found all the screentshots for the game it was based from so i do have some vague idea of how it ends, of course there a little hmm, it´s a hentai so I´m probably not gonna show the more NSFW screenshots because then I would have to give my site an 18+ rating.

Speaking of which, I´m actually debating about it, while most of my site is sfw and has been rated as such, I´m pondering it would be better to put an mature rating maybe? Not because I plan on put very very explicit content, but i wanna talk about certain works that have some mature themes. And maybe it would be better i I just add it to the entire site.?

or should I do what another webmaster has being doing having a sfw section of the site while have warning for a more dark sectionof the site?

I dunno, see I´m more kinda going with the flow, I didnt exactly plan for all the content, i just added the rating that i felt it fit the site at the time.

Or maybe I should put a heads up on my profile explaining the context of the change? Specially when i can´t control who follow/or links to my site?

Decision, decisions.

comments

 266.

 267.
Things have been kind weird for me these past couple of days, first my Mom fell and hurt herself. She didnt broke anything thank god, but I had to play nurse for a couple of days. She´s getting better now.

Then I found that my Wordpress blog is not working, i can´t seem to post anything, so now my blog is sorta dead now. Sometimes posting works sometimes it has not.

I also haven´t had motivation to do much these past days, I think this seasonal depression thing is hitting me much harder than I though.

Like I had plans for putting more library entries on my site, but whenever I open the word document it comes up blank? At this rate I´m gonna end just posting an entry once a year.

I dunno may I should some sorta of hiatus until I figure things out.

The only silverlining here Is that I have gotten really into whole solo RPG thing, I like the idea that you can just make your own solo DND style campaing by yourself.

One rpg I´ve gotten into is DELVE which is basically an exploration and dungeon management game.

I also got into reading again, I signed up for a library card, and found some realy interesting and smaller authors, who knew what got me to finish a book is to have some sort of deadline.

comments

 290.
I heard the news and boy am I pissed:

I mean seriously? First Photobucket and tinyjpg now this? Also has no one learned nothing from the tumblr purge?

Aw great, that means I got delay writting any library articles until I transfer all the images to a new host, Fuck it I´m gonna started uploading my images directly onto neocities, which I shoudl have done in the beginning.

I guess I worried about space, but someone told they had a dozen of images on the free tier with no issues, 1 gb might actually be enought for most. Maybe if I compress them?

I still hesitate on getting the supporter tier, thoguth, I´ve been considering for a while if i should switch hosts, and if i gotta pay for something its gotta be a decent service.

Neocities while serviceable for now, has still a couple of limitations, plus it has been issues with slow server speeds lately.

However, I cannot say the same for other places, I use imgur for stuff like dreamwith, forums and yes to decorate my spacehey profile.

I just dont trust sites with anti-adult content policies one bit, I mean they are gonna use a bot to monitor content, and there is a chance of images getting false flagged.

Also a ton of old sites, blogs, and forums are gonna lose important information, sighhhhhhh.

comments

We would bring lunch and cake.

It was warmth out, went to park plenty of singing birds. And I saw crows ,tons of them.

I even saw a sculpture of a whale made of recycled materials

And it would been completly perfect, if werent for the drama i had to deal with when we all got home "sighhhhh"

Beach was nice, but I wasnt comfortable to enough to wear a swimsuit.

Also for these last couple of days I been visting nature reserves and walk to place I never new it was there.

And speaking of new places, I just found out there´s a zoo not which is not far of a drive from my town this entire time. God if i had known earlier...

Could´ve gotten a birthday discount damn. But hey I can still visit it, dunno maybe this Saturday?

comments

 313.
Fuck dem Rich

 314.

 315.
Content Warning: (reference to a transphobic slur, also some celebrity slander)

You know what I just realize that I hate? CELEBRITY. STAN. CULTURE. Cuz dem Celebs can do no wrong.
If they fuck up big time, they act as if they´re entitled to forgiveness, and u dont, if ur one of those people who think it just performative well that are just one of those upitidy plebs that need to be shown their place.

And their gaggle of followers will ensure that, harrassing people in droves if you so much are critical of their fave.

There is no cancel culture for the rich and famous , their stuff will still be promoted, people will still be pining for them, no matter who they harm or anything.

But you, you my dear average joe, you are fucked.

See the average person specially if you belong to a more lower status does not have anyone to stand up for them and will be hold at higher scrutinity, it will be like walking on eggshells, for the smallest of infractions. And even then it might not be an infraction at all.

But the more popular and well off you are, the more lenient people will be, to the point they will give you the benefit of the doubt for the worst of actions.

This by the way also applies even if the celebrity in question also belong to a marginalized group,

Johnny Depp, Dave Chapelle, Lil Nas X, JK Rowling, etc...? They are untouchable now, they could kill a ton of puppies and the world will still simp for them.

And our capitalist society enables it, those people rake in tons of mulla , you gotta protect the golden goose after all.

But the most pathetic are the fans who become assholes in their name, sedning threats and slurs and for fucking free.

Oh no some poor rich person is being accountable, quick ummm let´s yell tranny or insult them by calling them poor etc...

Wow, rich people have got all of you by the balls, didn´t they?

And for someone who would not care if you dropped dead, and has more money than what you will ever see in a lifetime.

So before you defend some celeb for being an idiot, just remember a famous richie will always be a famous richie, they aint ur friend so stop sucking their dick.

comments

 339.
Happy Carnaval

 340.

 341.
I had fun this weekend got to see a Carnaval Parade this year, tons of people in costume. Shaped I wasnt wearing one.

This years most popular costume have been wednesday adams, harley quinn and the joker, the iconic salvador dali mask for A Casa de la papel, and disney princesses!

I even saw an anime character, that horned girl from chainsaw whose anime I havent watched yet.

And that was the portuguese version. The day before, I got to see Galicia again, and took some photos, see the sights and eat those delicious empanadas that has peppers on it.

I did not get to watch a festival but there were plenty of people dressed up, both adults and kids. And my favorite parts was seeing a bunch of cotumed dogs.

It was so cute, one was dressed like sushi, the other a hotdog, a dinossaur but my fave was the dog that had a cowboy doll attached to it as if he were a worse.

Got to see some cool birds too, got to see a gray heron.

However I dont what the heck happend, but my phone camera stopped working, good thing I had my Canon camera with me.

comments

 351.
Found a Doll, and other findings

 352.

 353.
Went out to clear my head for bit and wouldn´t you know it, I found a doll in somewhat newish condition that some poor kid forgot and probably will never come back for it.

So hey what heck, it probably would become litter on the street anyway, so I took it with me. My sister is a bit of a doll collector so I think she might apreciate it.

Out of curiosity i looked it up, and it turn out to be a Sparkle Girlz dolls, you know one of those cheap fairy barbie knock offs that cost like 3 dollars or something.

Specially this one:

The only that was missing were the shoes and well the sparkly bubble dish set. Ah well. Kinda cute thought

Another cool thing I found was an European Goldfinch just singing his heart out. I was amazed because I didn´t thought I could find these guys in a urban area?

Last time I saw one was like in 2019 (Before hmm the end times) and it was on a nature reserve which I managed to take a pic:

I was amazed by it as I was by finding a goldfinch close to my neighbourhood.

And speaking of birds, some pigeon tried to follow me? Its very weird, they tend to not like it much when you follow them around.

But this one followed me on the same I was walking and even tried to cross the street after i did. Or maybe its a coincidence.

But hey I will have plenty of time to check out on Birds tomorrow, for my planned trip to Spain, got my camera all cleaned up and ready to go.

Hope it goes well.

comments
