Before this tool started trending, the ChatGPT Ghibli craze had already captured users’ attention. Now, Google’s latest engine, officially called Flash Image Model 2.5 but widely known as Nano Banana, is being used to create a massive range of images.

To make Nano Banana even easier to access, Perplexity AI has integrated it into WhatsApp. This move brings the image-generation model to one of the world’s largest messaging platforms, which enjoys a massive user base in India and beyond. By comparison, Meta AI, currently built into WhatsApp, does not yet operate at the same level as Google’s Gemini or Nano Banana. Perplexity announced that WhatsApp users can now run the Nano Banana engine directly in their chats. The AI startup has added Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash engine to its platform.

How to Use Nano Banana on WhatsApp

Until now, people had to visit Gemini or Google AI Studio to use Nano Banana. That’s no longer necessary. To try the model inside WhatsApp, simply start a chat with the Perplexity AI bot.

Start a chat with Perplexity’s bot by saving the number +1 (833) 436-3285

Add your image and type the desired prompt describing the edit you want.

Wait for a few seconds, and your AI-generated image will be uploaded.

Nano Banana works best with rich, descriptive prompts and will deliver the same high-quality results you’d get from Google’s own apps. From trending styles like the iconic saree look to ultra-high-resolution retro portraits, the model reproduces them all with precision.

Example Prompt: An elegant, high-resolution photograph capturing a hand-painted ceramic mug resting on a rustic wooden table. The mug features intricate floral patterns in deep blues and golds, with a glossy finish that reflects soft natural light. Steam rises gently from the hot drink inside, creating a sense of warmth and comfort. The background is softly out of focus, revealing hints of an indoor cafe with muted tones and potted plants, adding depth and a relaxed atmosphere while showcasing the artistry of the mug.

Is Nano Banana on WhatsApp Free?

Perplexity has not yet confirmed whether its WhatsApp bot offers Nano Banana usage for free. Google provides a limited free access for this engine, with paid plans unlocking greater access, so a similar model may apply here. India already ranks as the largest market for Nano Banana, according to Google. With the Gemini app topping charts on both the App Store and Google Play, adding Nano Banana to WhatsApp will likely bring even more users into the trend.

The post How to Create Google Gemini Nano AI Images on WhatsApp appeared first on TechAmuse.

Meta’s $799 Smart Glasses: Screen, AI Integration, and What They Mean for the Future

Tech Amuse

Gadgets

If you’ve been waiting for wearable tech that feels intuitive, looks stylish, and doesn’t pull you out of the real world, Meta’s new Ray-Ban Display glasses might be exactly what you’ve been hoping for. Announced by Mark Zuckerberg at Connect, this next-generation device takes everything you know about smart eyewear and gives it a drastic upgrade.

A New Kind of Smart Glasses

When you put on the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses, you’re stepping into a new category of AI wearables. Instead of staring down at a phone, you glance at a discreet, full-colour high-resolution display built right into the lenses. You can check messages, preview photos, get turn-by-turn walking directions, or collaborate with Meta AI visual prompts — all while staying present in your surroundings. This isn’t about strapping a screen to your face; it’s about keeping your head up and your hands free.

Each pair comes bundled with the Meta Neural Band, an EMG wristband that interprets the tiny signals from your muscles. That means you control your glasses with subtle hand or finger movements without touching them or taking your phone out. Scroll, click, pinch, swipe — it feels almost like magic because the band detects your intent even before a movement is visible.

Design That Feels Familiar but Smarter

Meta and EssilorLuxottica designed these glasses so you don’t feel like you’re wearing a gadget. They retain the iconic Wayfarer DNA, but the frame is taller, featuring a bold square shape with softened edges and a slight front curve that cuts glare and improves fit. Titanium hinges enhance durability while keeping the weight down to just 69 grams. Ultra-narrow steelcan batteries hidden in the temple arms power up to six hours of mixed use, and the collapsible charging case extends that to 30 hours total.

You also get style choices: Black or Sand frame colours, two frame sizes, and Transitions lenses for indoors and outdoors. The Meta Neural Band itself comes in three sizes and offers up to 18 hours of battery life with IPX7 water resistance.

Display Technology You Can Live With

Meta rebuilt its display system from the ground up to fit into fashionable eyewear. The monocular light engine and waveguide deliver 42 pixels per degree of field of view, sharper than anything else in this form factor, while photochromatic lenses and auto-brightness algorithms keep visuals crisp indoors or outside. Light leakage is only 2%, so your in-lens display stays private, and the familiar capture LED tells others when you’re recording.

The display sits just off to the side, so your view of the world stays unobstructed. It’s designed for quick, glanceable interactions rather than constant screen time.

Everyday Experiences That Matter

Because of the high-resolution display and Neural Band, Meta Ray-Ban Display can do much more than previous Ray-Ban Meta glasses:

Meta AI with Visuals: Ask a question and see step-by-step answers instead of only hearing them.

Messaging & Video Calls: Glance at WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram messages, respond with a pinch, and take live video calls hands-free.

Preview & Zoom: Use the built-in camera viewfinder to frame shots perfectly, zoom easily, and share photos and videos instantly.

Pedestrian Navigation: Select your destination and follow turn-by-turn walking directions without taking out your phone.

Live Captions & Translation: Read captions or translations of spoken language in real time while staying engaged in the conversation.

Music Playback: See what’s playing, swipe to change tracks, or pinch and rotate your wrist to adjust volume. Spotify, Apple Music (iOS), Amazon Music, Shazam, and iHeart Radio are supported.

Meta says future updates will add a dedicated Instagram Reels app, EMG handwriting input, and even AI-powered music recommendations that match your surroundings.

Pricing and Availability

At $799 USD for both the glasses and Neural Band, Meta Ray-Ban Display launches September 30 at select US retailers, including Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, and Ray-Ban Stores, with Verizon stores coming soon. Expansion to Canada, France, Italy, and the UK is planned for early 2026.

More Than Glasses — A Platform Change

You’re not just buying a pair of high-tech glasses; you’re stepping into Meta’s vision of the next computing platform. Camera AI glasses, display AI glasses, and, soon, full AR glasses are all part of a family of devices that blend digital information with the real world. The Meta Neural Band could eventually control far more than glasses, opening doors for people with neuromotor conditions and offering a universal input method for future devices.

Why It Matters for the Future

If you’re tired of juggling a phone for every small task, these glasses promise a new way to interact with technology. They’re designed to keep you connected without distraction, stylish yet powerful, private yet capable. Meta is betting that you want technology that disappears into your daily life, and with Ray-Ban Display, that future just got a lot closer.

The post Meta’s $799 Smart Glasses: Screen, AI Integration, and What They Mean for the Future appeared first on TechAmuse.

Spotify Lossless Listening: The Future of Audio Streaming and What Comes Next

Tech Amuse

Technology

Spotify has finally launched Lossless Listening for Premium users, one of its most requested features. It’s rolling out now in select countries, and Premium subscribers will receive a notification in the app when it becomes available. Lossless audio gives you the highest sound quality on Spotify, if you’re exploring new releases or revisiting old favourites. This upgrade is part of Spotify’s ongoing effort to enhance its Premium service. Alongside features like DJ, Jam, AI Playlist, Mix, daylist, and curated playlists from Spotify’s editors, Lossless takes your listening to the next level. With Lossless, you can stream music in up to 24-bit/44.1 kHz FLAC, giving you more detail in almost every track.

Launched in 2006, Spotify has grown into the world’s leading audio streaming platform, with more than 696 million users worldwide. In the past year, the company reported its first-ever annual net profit, earning over $1.3 billion on $18.4 billion in revenue. Headquartered in Sweden, Spotify now operates in more than 180 markets and offers a library of over 100 million songs, nearly 7 million podcasts, and 350,000 audiobooks.

Your Device, Your Choice

You can choose your preferred audio quality for Wi-Fi, mobile data, and downloads: Low, Normal, High, Very High, or Lossless. Spotify also shows how much data each option uses, so you can decide easily. Lossless works on mobile, desktop, and tablet, as well as on many Spotify Connect devices from brands like Sony, Bose, Samsung, and Sennheiser. Support for Sonos, Amazon, and more is coming next month.

How to Turn On Lossless

Tap your profile icon (top left).

Go to Settings & Privacy → Media Quality.

Choose where to enable Lossless: Wi-Fi, cellular, or downloads.

You’ll need to enable it on each device separately. A Lossless badge will show up in the Now Playing view or Connect Picker when it’s on. For the best experience, Spotify recommends streaming Lossless over Wi-Fi with wired headphones or speakers using Spotify Connect. Bluetooth can’t yet transmit full lossless audio, so it has to compress the sound first. Because Lossless files are larger, songs may take a moment to load the first time, but once cached, they’ll play smoothly.

The Future of Audio

Responding to Demand: This launch answers one of the most requested features from Spotify users, helping the platform stay competitive in the high-fidelity audio space.

Enhancing High-Resolution Content: By introducing this feature, Spotify is stepping up its audio quality, offering listeners a richer, more detailed experience across its extensive music library.

What Comes Next

Rolling out lossless audio is a clear step forward, but it also sets the stage for what’s next. As Spotify expands its library of over 100 million tracks, 7 million podcasts, and 350,000 audiobooks, higher fidelity will likely become the default. The company may also explore adaptive streaming that automatically adjusts quality to connection speed, or even spatial and immersive audio formats that go beyond stereo.

More broadly, Spotify is serious about keeping Premium subscribers engaged — not just through convenience and playlists but also through sound quality. In an era where high-resolution music is becoming standard, this upgrade helps ensure Spotify remains the first stop for music lovers.

Lossless Audio: The Starting Point – Lossless formats (like FLAC, ALAC, or Spotify HiFi) preserve every bit of sound from the original recording. This means nothing is lost—no compression, no missing frequencies. It’s great for audiophiles who want perfect reproduction, but it’s still essentially a “flat” 2D experience—just sound coming through speakers or headphones.

Beyond Fidelity: Immersive Experiences – The next evolution isn’t just about hearing every detail; it’s about feeling like you’re there. Spatial audio / 3D sound technologies allow music to exist in a three-dimensional space around the listener. Instruments can feel like they’re coming from different directions. Vocals can seem like they are moving around you. Example: Dolby Atmos or Sony 360 Reality Audio.

AI-Enhanced Audio: AI can go further than just playing music, enhancing old recordings to make them clearer or more dynamic. Customizing tracks for individual listening preferences. Separating instruments or vocals for remixing or immersive experiences. This creates a personalized, optimized sound experience that lossless alone cannot provide.

Multi-Sensory Audio: The ultimate frontier may combine sound with touch or visuals, Haptic feedback in headphones or chairs. Music that creates a subtle vibration corresponding to bass or rhythm.

You’re not just listening—you’re experiencing music.

Availability

Lossless is rolling out gradually to 50+ countries through October. Premium listeners in Australia, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, the US, and the UK already have access.

The post Spotify Lossless Listening: The Future of Audio Streaming and What Comes Next appeared first on TechAmuse.

Microsoft’s Hollow-Core Fiber Sets New Internet Speed Record

Tech Amuse

Technology

The next big transformation in internet technology may come from a glass strand with an air-filled heart. Instead of solid glass cores that dominate today’s fiber-optic cables, researchers at the University of Southampton have developed hollow-core fibers (HCF) that guide light through microscopic air channels.

By letting light travel through air rather than glass, these fibers cut energy loss and speed up data transfer. Traditional fibers lose about half their signal every 15–20 km, requiring frequent boosters. The new hollow design extends that distance to around 33 km before signal loss reaches the same point. On top of that, these fibers can handle more than 1,000 times the power of current versions and carry signals across a wider range of wavelengths. They can also transmit single-photon pulses of visible light, which are essential for quantum communications. That makes them valuable not only for today’s networks but also for future quantum systems.

Why Hollow Fibers Matter

Hollow-core technology isn’t brand new. Earlier designs were used in specialised cases like high-speed data center links. Since light travels about 45% faster through air than through glass, the advantage was obvious. The problem? Cost and complexity made large-scale use unrealistic.

That’s changing. Professor Francesco Poletti and his team at Southampton have refined this design for over a decade. The secret lies in its unique structure: a tube-like core running through the center of the fiber, which is absent in solid fibers. The fiber has rigid walls (the shell) that give it structure and form. This architecture helps light stay confined within the hollow center, reducing leakage and boosting efficiency.

Latency: The Critical Factor

To understand the importance of lower latency, think about online gaming. A high-speed, low-latency connection means your actions reach the server instantly, creating smooth, real-time gameplay. A laggy connection, however, causes delays that ruin the experience.

The same principle applies to AI systems. Whether processing speech, analysing images, or training massive models with billions of parameters, AI workloads involve constant back-and-forth communication across networks. If latency is high, performance suffers, resources are wasted, and results may be less accurate. With low latency and faster networking, AI models can train quickly, respond faster, and deliver sharper outcomes.

Enabling Real-Time AI Applications

HCF could be a game-changer for AI applications that require instant responses, including:

Autonomous vehicles need to detect objects and make driving decisions in milliseconds.

Smart devices that react immediately to user input.

Video streaming and online gaming, where lag ruins the experience.

By allowing near real-time data transfers, hollow fibers give AI the speed and reliability it needs to function effectively in critical scenarios.

Challenges Ahead

Scaling Production: Manufacturing hollow-core fibers requires new techniques and tooling, making large-scale rollout complex.

Standardization: Industry-wide standards for hollow-core design and deployment are still being developed.

Adoption: Transitioning from traditional silica fibers to hollow-core will take time, especially for global networks spanning thousands of kilometers.

With Microsoft’s investment and growing research interest, hollow-core fiber is no longer just a lab experiment; it’s becoming a commercial reality. Hollow-core fiber demonstrates that the future of the internet may not be glass, but air-filled pathways for light. With faster speeds, reduced latency, and improved efficiency, this technology has the potential to reshape global connectivity, enable next-generation AI, and lay the groundwork for quantum communications. For the first time, a fiber that carries light through air is not only faster but also less lossy than glass, a milestone that could mark the beginning of the next great internet revolution.

The post Microsoft’s Hollow-Core Fiber Sets New Internet Speed Record appeared first on TechAmuse.

Google Translate Introduces AI Tools to Help Users Learn Languages

Tech Amuse

News

Every month, millions of people translate nearly one trillion words using Google Translate, Search, and visual tools like Google Lens and Google Search. Now, with the power of AI, breaking language barriers is becoming even simpler. Using the advanced reasoning and multimodal features of Gemini models, two new updates have been added to Translate: one for real-time conversations and another for language learning.

Experience Real-Time Translations for Live Conversations

Travelling or meeting new people becomes more meaningful when you can communicate effortlessly. With the updated Translate app, you can now have back-and-forth conversations in real time. Audio and on-screen translations work together to keep the exchange natural and smooth.

All you need to do is open the Translate app on Android or iOS, select “Live Translate,” choose the languages, and start speaking. The app will read out the translations, display transcripts in both languages, and even adapt to pauses, accents, and intonations. This feature now supports over 70 languages, including Arabic, French, Hindi, Korean, Spanish, and Tamil, and is now available in the U.S., India, and Mexico.

Learn a Language Your Way

Translating isn’t just about converting words; it’s also a helpful tool for language learning. But one challenge remains — gaining confidence in listening and speaking. That’s why a new practice feature has been introduced to help you improve these skills with custom sessions designed around your level and goals.

Simply tap “practice” in the app, set your preferences, and Translate will generate interactive scenarios for you. You can listen to conversations, tap words to improve understanding, or practice speaking with on-screen guidance. These exercises, developed with language experts, track your progress and adapt to your learning speed, helping you gain confidence faster. This beta feature is now being rolled out for English speakers learning Spanish or French, and for Spanish, French, and Portuguese speakers learning English, with wider availability planned.

AI-Powered Enhancements

These improvements are driven by advanced AI and machine learning. With Gemini models, translation quality, speed, and multimodal capabilities, including text-to-speech, have advanced significantly. You’re not just getting basic translations anymore; you’re gaining tools that help you learn, understand, and navigate conversations effortlessly.

The post Google Translate Introduces AI Tools to Help Users Learn Languages appeared first on TechAmuse.

Everything You Need to Know About Samsung One UI 8 Update

Tech Amuse

News

Samsung’s One UI 8, built on Android 16, introduces dynamic wallpapers, better multitasking, faster Quick Share, and group audio sessions. Today’s devices can track your sleep, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and more, giving you 24/7 health insights. Among the leading devices, Oura and Whoop have created unique places in health monitoring, each excelling in specific areas. Both focus on giving you a deeper understanding of your health, but they’re designed for different types of users, which shows in how they look and the way they report data.

So, which one suits you best? Here’s a complete idea of the Oura Ring and Whoop.

Oura Ring vs Whoop: Design and comfort

Comparing the Oura Ring and Whoop is tough since they’re designed so differently. Both are fitness trackers, but the Oura Ring is a smart ring that looks like a slightly thicker gold band, while the Whoop is a strap you wear on your wrist with interchangeable bands. Neither has a screen, so you need a phone to see your data, unlike an Apple Watch or Fitbit.

When it comes to comfort, the Whoop feels lighter and less noticeable, especially at night. The Oura Ring is mostly comfortable but can sometimes feel tight while sleeping. If comfort is a concern, Oura offers a sizing kit so you can test the fit before buying. Style-wise, the Oura Ring blends in easily with jewellery, while the Whoop looks more like a plain wrist strap.

Oura Ring vs Whoop: Mobile app

To understand the difference between Oura and Whoop, just look at their apps. Oura’s app is clean and calming, with key data shown up front. Whoop’s app is more about raw health metrics and guiding your next activity rather than design.

In Oura’s app, you’ll see overall scores on the main page, followed by details on sleep, heart rate, and cycles. Extra tabs like Vitals and My Health give quick overviews with the option to dig deeper. The downside is a short delay when opening the app, since the ring processes much of the data before loading.

Whoop, on the other hand, needs its app to stay open in the background, which can drain your phone battery. If you close it, it reloads data when reopened, but the app often sends reminders to keep it running. The app itself works well, though it can be a bit glitchy at times. Its design isn’t about looks; it’s more about showing performance data right away. However, the way the data is presented can feel harder to interpret.

Oura Ring vs Whoop: Sleep tracking

The Oura Ring is a small wearable that focuses on tracking sleep, recovery, and overall readiness. Its key features include:

Sleep Tracking: Oura gives detailed insights into sleep quality, including efficiency and how long it takes to fall asleep.

Readiness Score: By looking at your sleep, heart rate variability (HRV), body temperature, and activity, it calculates a score that shows how prepared you are for physical or mental tasks.

Some users may find that Whoop adapts better to personal sleep habits, especially for those who naturally stay up late. While Oura often encourages earlier bedtimes and may lower scores if you don’t follow them, Whoop tends to adjust its recommendations to align with your natural rhythm, making its guidance feel more practical and personalized.

Oura Ring vs Whoop: Battery Life and Charging

Both devices offer multi-day battery life. The Oura Ring lasts around six to seven days and charges quickly; a short charge while showering is often enough to keep it going.

Whoop’s battery lasts about four days, but it has a clever design: a wireless battery pack that slides on and charges the device while you’re still wearing it, so you never have to take it off. The latest Whoop models are said to last up to 14 days.

Choosing the Right Wearable for You

Deciding between Oura and Whoop comes down to your personal goals:

Go with Oura if: You want in-depth sleep tracking, recovery insights, and daily readiness scores. Its stylish design and long battery life make it great for everyday health monitoring.

Go with Whoop if: You’re focused on performance, managing workout strain, and reaching fitness goals. Its continuous tracking makes it especially useful for athletes and highly active users.

The Oura Ring is built for everyday users who want to better understand their body and daily habits. It’s a discreet tracker that blends easily with your style and comes with a well-designed app that feels more holistic and user-friendly than Whoop’s. While it costs more upfront, it offers better long-term value. Ultimately, the right fitness tracker for you depends on which features matter most to your lifestyle and goals.

The post Oura Ring vs Whoop: Which Tracks Your Health Better? appeared first on TechAmuse.

MiniSudoku on LinkedIn – A Fresh Way to Engage with Your Network

Tech Amuse

Uncategorized

Puzzles have experienced a huge surge in popularity in recent years. Wordle became a daily habit for millions, and LinkedIn quickly jumped on the trend. Its puzzle offerings have grown into a much-loved daily pastime for users. The platform currently offers five daily puzzles—and now, a sixth is on the way.

LinkedIn has found a creative way to boost daily engagement and strengthen user retention by introducing a quick, brain-teasing puzzle to its platform. The professional networking site has rolled out Mini Sudoku, its sixth in-app game, designed to encourage users to return regularly. Developed in partnership with Japanese puzzle publisher Nikoli and three-time World Sudoku Champion Thomas Snyder, this scaled-down version of the classic Sudoku swaps the traditional 9×9 grid for a 6×6 format that can be solved in just two to three minutes.

The shorter playtime serves busy professionals seeking a quick mental break without disrupting their workflow. Lakshman Somasundaram, Senior Director of Product at LinkedIn, highlighted the game’s purpose, explaining, “We don’t want to have a puzzle on LinkedIn that takes 20 minutes to solve. We’re not games for games’ sake.” This addition is part of LinkedIn’s broader strategy to increase user interaction through casual gaming, striking a balance between productivity and light recreation.

The difficulty of Mini Sudoku puzzles increases as the week progresses, and each day includes a short video from Snyder, also known as “Dr. Sudoku” and founder of Grandmaster Puzzles, offering tips and walkthroughs. Snyder has also contributed to LinkedIn’s hint feature, making the game engaging for both novices and seasoned players.

An evolving strategy

Founded in 2003 and acquired by Microsoft in 2016, LinkedIn has steadily expanded beyond its core focus on job postings and recruitment tools. With features like a personalized video feed and other social elements, the gaming initiative marks another step in keeping users active on the platform for reasons beyond work.

By launching Mini Sudoku, LinkedIn supports its approach of blending professional networking with light, enjoyable moments—ensuring users stay engaged, connected, and eager to return.

The post MiniSudoku on LinkedIn – A Fresh Way to Engage with Your Network appeared first on TechAmuse.

If you would like to create a banner that links to this page (i.e. this validation result), do the following:
