Have you ever thought about Excess Protection Insurance?

Let?s say you recently made a claim on your Car Insurance.

The good news is that it's been processed and you?ve received a payout so you can get your vehicle back on the road.

However, you may find that paying the excess on your claim means your finances still take a hit.

This is where Excess Protection Insurance comes in. With this policy in place, you?ll get your policy excess back ? even if you?re at fault.

This is a policy that is now open to everyone, even if you don?t have your Car Insurance with us.

Here are a few benefits you might like to weigh up:

Enjoy a full reimbursement of up to ?1,000

Cover both voluntary and compulsory excesses

Get speedy reimbursement should there be a delay of 6 or more months in recovering your excess from a third party

Take advantage of 12 months of protection for your pocket

If you?d like to find out more, head over to the Chris Knott Insurance website: https://www.chrisknott.co.uk/motor-insurance/excess-protector/.

You can also ask me any questions.

Best wishes,

Breakdown Cover Refresh

Getting stranded at the side of the road or being late to work because your car won?t start is a surefire way to get the stress levels up. This can be even worse if you don?t have anyone to call for help.

This is why we?ve given our Breakdown Cover a bit of a refresh. Working with One Insurance in partnership with The AA, our new protection starts from just ?65 per vehicle.

Standard Breakdown Cover includes HomeStart, Roadside Assistance, National Recovery and Fault Diagnosis, but if you want a little extra UK cover, or you?re planning to drive in Europe, you can benefit from our extended UK+ and European Cover.

This includes Enhanced UK Onward Travel, a Replacement Hire Car and Overnight Accommodation.

PLUS if you take out more than one Breakdown policy with us, you can benefit from a discounted rate for your additional cars.

To find out more, take a look at our updated website: https://www.chrisknott.co.uk/motor-insurance/breakdown-cover/

You can also drop me a line if you have any questions.

Take care,

Who's left....?

Excellent. I'm still here too. It's still my daily driver, now on 356K and some change.

Had a parallel experience with the LH front spring pan letting go back in the summer causing strong pan/tyre rubbage, lots of smoke and the only recovery of our 250k together to date. Luckily it chose to do this in town at less than 30mph and traffic was light. AA arrived within 10 mins!!

I had acquired a pair of struts from eastern Europe a few months before and had them rebuilt ready to go. The RH was just about ready to fail too. It's impossible to tell how bad they are without very careful cleaning and examination unless off the car with the spring removed.

Needs a turbo (epic axial play though still functioning) have everything except the will.... It's also busy eating aux belt tensioner - again. Seems to have got worse since I did the cam belt and changed the harmonic damper last year.

Agree it's rare to see another. I did have a few reliable spots in this area and one where my son lives in Newton Abbott but they seem to have gone now. The youngest is 27 years old and they were never that common so not surprising really.

Worried about missing a renewal?

Weâ\x80\x99ll always be in touch well before your renewal date so that you donâ\x80\x99t need to worry about your policy lapsing. We donâ\x80\x99t just send you a text or email either â\x80\x93 our helpful team will give you a call too so that you can discuss your options and cover needs.

Need more convincing? Take a look at this recent feedback:

â\x80\x9cHighly professional and helpful. Efficient reminders when renewal is due, not only by email/text but also a phone call two days before expiry of previous policy. Top service.â\x80\x9d Duncan McGill

â\x80\x9c[They] let me know when renewal was due in plenty of time to shop around, which was pointless as Chris Knott came out as the best price anyway. One call was all it took and all docs came electronically. Great service.â\x80\x9d Dave Hinman

Weâ\x80\x99re celebrating our 40th birthday!

At Chris Knott Insurance, weâ\x80\x99re delighted to be toasting 40 years in business. Our founder, Chris Knott, started the company when he realised that car club members such as yourselves would be viewed as â\x80\x98good risksâ\x80\x99 from an insurance perspective.

He therefore set about creating a business that focused on the needs of particular sectors, such as car owner clubs and forums.

Weâ\x80\x99ve grown since then but weâ\x80\x99re still as dedicated to getting competitive premiums for car owners who take pride in their vehicles.

If youâ\x80\x99d like to find out more about our Car Insurance, click on the link below. We can get you a bespoke quote in just 7.5 minutes. We donâ\x80\x99t use call centres and we never work via a script, so you can get all of your options clearly explained to you.
