48.
Andromache will win you over with her entertaining embellishment of the classic tale of Troy!
49. Hector’s spirited wife has waited thousands of years to tell her story — an entertaining saga of love, loss, friendship, and misplaced trust. Told from her wry perspective, the characters of ancient Troy come alive: Paris, the lighthearted lover of beauty, dependable Hector, the trainer of horses, and Cassandra, whose prophecies are correct but never heeded.
50. By luck and pluck, Andromache marries Hector, Prince of Troy. She’s happily living her life when Paris returns, bringing Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world. Andromache is not pleased to be tasked with helping the aloof beauty assimilate, but through the long years of war, the two women develop hidden strengths that enable them to take charge of their fates.
51. The engaging narrative builds toward an ending that puts a new spin on this classic story, making this an enjoyable work of fiction for anyone, especially fans of Greek mythology!

 52.
Advance review:
53. “Andromache’s Story — What Really Happened in Troy gives us the scoop on the popular myth of the beautiful Helen of Troy, told from the perspective of intelligent, sassy, Andromache, a star-crossed daughter of the embattled city that sacrificed everything for Helen’s honor (including their own pride).
54. This fresh retelling of the age-old story is smart, wry, action-packed, and fun–a page-turner from the start. MacCreery gives us an intriguing inside look at ancient Greece, pairing exacting details of battle, landscape, and culture with wonderful humor and just the right touch of romance. Getting to know the fabled Helen through the wise-cracking Andromache’s eyes and seeing how these two very different women’s fates are inextricably tangled, keeps you reading long into the night. On opposite sides of the fence (literally!), these women are brought together in a doomed city in an irresistible shared story of war and love, tragedy and adventure, sacking and salvation…and a deep and abiding commitment–no matter what–to stand by their men.
55. MacCreery’s reimagining of the tale of Troy takes some delightful, unexpected twists and delivers a satisfying finale, with just enough titillating loose ends to make us ask, “Sequel, please?!”
56. — Melanie Raskin, Author, Producer and Director, — her short fiction credits include “Frayed”, winner of the 2020 Carolina Prize, publications in Minerva Rising, and many others.

In February 2025, he released It Begins With Me: A Sales Blueprint, a book that merges traditional sales techniques with a strong emphasis on self-awareness and personal growth. Martin actively speaks, coaches, and mentors others, often highlighting how personal development and mindset are essential to achieving long-term success in sales and business. Not without his fair share of reflective thinking, he shares his stories and imparts a bit of the wisdom he has gathered along the way. And let us not forget that at the end of nearly every day, he can raise his glass and make a toast.

 169.
Meet David R. Sheldon

 170.

 171.

 172.
David R. Sheldon is the author of You Can Wine Too: From Fairy Tales to Nightmares, My Path to Drinking Wine Every Night, a memoir and entrepreneurial story published in March 2025. His career began in the corporate world, where he held positions at companies like UTC, TRW, and King-Seeley Thermos. Despite professional success, Sheldon struggled with corporate politics and the pressure of high-stakes roles, eventually developing stress-related health issues, including angina symptoms.

 173.
After thirteen years in corporate life, he made a bold transition into entrepreneurship, running a plastics manufacturing business for two decades. When he retired at age 55, rather than settling into quiet leisure, he pursued an entirely new venture by starting two vineyards, opening a winery, and managing a small Red Angus cattle farm. His memoir captures the unpredictable highs and lows of that chapter, offering an honest look at the lessons, mistakes, and personal growth that came with starting over.

 174.
The book blends humor, introspection, and business wisdom as Sheldon reflects on his journey of reinvention. More than a story about wine, it’s a reflection on resilience, risk-taking, and finding satisfaction in life’s second acts. His nightly glass of wine becomes both a ritual and a symbol of survival, joy, and perspective.

 192.

A mystical allegorical novel (war, love, devilry) with biblical motives and black humor. No propaganda! A gripping plot and deep meaning. This novel, written in a biblical style, explores the nature of conflicts – from family dramas to world wars – through the lens of a real military campaign in Ukraine. Similar to the Bible, where each character embodies a global idea (for example, Jesus is a symbol of revolutionaries, Satan is a symbol of criminals), the heroes of this book also carry an allegorical meaning. The names of the countries cities and other objects have been changed not for conspiracy, but to emphasize the essence. For example, Moscow is Foolcow, the Kremlin is Barbarion, Kaliningrad is Prussberg because it is a former German city and so on for all other objects. Fayina has endured much: emigration, the loss of a child, the betrayal of comrades. The last straw was an absurd love. Her beloved disappeared and she knew nothing about this guy except that he was a military blogger and maybe played the piano. But at the moment Fayina gave up, Archangel Michael comes to her and takes her as his assistant. Her task is to help people who are unable to cope with evil and cry out for help in their prayers. The Archangel assures her that serving good will help solve her personal problems. And so it turns out, though in a very unexpected way. A recurring theme is the story of a vile owner of a rehabilitation center for drug addicts. He gathers a coalition of traitors and takes away Fayina’s original treatment method, tries to discredit her, and remove her from his path. A gang of traitors helps him in this. Fayina’s life story is not unique. Almost everyone has experienced something similar in their lives. This story is a mirror image of military events. The characters, through their actions, symbolize: the president, oligarchs, propagandists, and the silent masses. This story shows that what happens “above” always starts with each of us, because “in the beginning was the Word.” And every word we say or don’t say has consequences. The tenth chapter provides an interpretation of biblical terms, explaining the logic of religion in simple words, from an atheist’s perspective. This chapter proves that one can not believe in metaphysics, but the fact that the Bible describes a correct algorithm of behavior is an undeniable truth.List of Book Main Heroes and ObjectsArchangel Michael – that same Michael, just an archangelResidents of FreelandJesterson – presidentFayina – refugeeYahn – military bloggerResidents of RoblandLiliputin – presidentMadam Oldbagen – stalker chasing FayinaMr. Windfall – owner of a drug rehabilitation centerAntoinette – Fayina’s envious womanDon Condom – Fayina’s former comradeVictoria – Fayina’s traitor for the purpose of profitFooly – doubting traitorSir – an honest man, Fayina’s friendDepartment of MoralsHerr Licht – head of departmentMr. Morgan – expert appraiserMr. Abbadington – head of combat groupMr. Hott – gender issuesMr. Goldman – budget issuesMr. Layton – leisure organizationsMr. Flynn – tasting specialistObjectsFreerobland – Kievan RusRobland Empire – Russian EmpireProletaria – Soviet UnionFreeland – UkraineRobland – RussiaDupeland – USAMugland – EuropeWafflerland – ChinaFoolcow – MoscowBarbarion – KremlinMr.Modeston – TrumpHopeson – LeninGripperson – StalinDerranger – HitlerMarigraveton – MariupolWaterlessford – DonbassHalffinton – PetrozavodskPrussberg – KaliningradJumping Revolution – MaidanUnderheirs Parade – Victory ParadeSacrilege Square – Red SquareBartercoin – RublesDustcoin – HryvniasMy sincere apologies for accidental errors in my self-translated book! We never talked about food that much since we were happy and good food was a normal part of our lives. After the fall of communism and dissolution of Yugoslavia, Balkan become (yet again?) a place with negative associations for people around the globe. Some of them barely know where Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, or Turkey are, but they know that there is something wrong with that part of the world.
 373.
 374. Unfortunately, when I ask my friends from around the globe about positive things in the region, they always mention only two things. Very good food and nice people. “I love your sarma,” or, “Your mom is preparing amazing musaka,” is something I have heard so many times. I tried to present only recipes that our mothers have made for decades, without adding “modern food.”
 375.
 376. I will continue sharing Balkan traditional recipes so please visit www.balkanfood.org and subscribe for free newsletters.
