A total of 30 teachers, along with the Principal and PTA President participated in the program.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Principal Rev. Sr. Marceline Dsouza welcomed the audience and Prof. Sujatha R., HoD, Child Health Nursing provided an overview of the program’s objectives. The resource persons conducted informative sessions on vital topics such as first aid management for epilepsy, unconsciousness, choking, drowning, electric shock and bleeding. Practical demonstrations were carried out, showcasing essential techniques including airway management, choking relief, bleeding control, CPR and stabilization of fractures.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Participants underwent a pre-test and post-test assessment, which reflected a significant improvement in their understanding and application of first aid procedures. Around 65 students actively participated, collecting plastic and other non-biodegradable waste. The visit included a completed residential project and a site under construction, providing students with real-time insights into spatial scales, unit quality, construction technologies and building services.

Ashwini Mani, students interacted with the building manager, developer and architect, gaining valuable professional perspectives on project execution and management. The workshop covered various disciplines like nanotechnology, material science, physics, bio-inorganic chemistry and brought together experts, researchers and students to discuss latest developments and key issues in the field.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The inaugural function was graced by Chief guest, Prof. Sundaram Gunasekaran, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. Dr. Harishkumar Madhyastha, University of Miyazaki, Japan was the Guest of honor. Prof. (Dr) CS Shastry, Director (Research &amp; Strategic Initiatives), NGSMIPS welcomed the SPARC project members. Dr. B C Revanasiddappa, Principal Investigator of the project shared interesting insights on the genesis and objectives of the SPARC program. Dr. Marina Koland, Principal highlighted the importance of the functional materials and their relevance in the research field.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The scientific sessions were enlightening, with Prof. Gunasekaran delivering important note about the nanozymes and sanozymes and their applications in current research. Dr. Santosh Tiwari, Associate Professor of Chemistry at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte delivered a talk on new materials and advanced functional materials in the field of biological sciences. Prof. Krishnamoorthi K, Computer Science &amp; Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence &amp; machine learning in the field of pharmacy. He also mentioned the various applications of machine learning and retrieval of data from these tools.
