32.
We’re almost at the end of the year, and given that I love word games, I thought it would be a good time to look back and find the best […]

 33.

We’re almost at the end of the year, and given that I love word games, I thought it would be a good time to look back and find the best word games you can play on your phone. I have played almost every type of word game imaginable. From the classic Scrabble and Boggle board games to the more modern Wordscapes, Scrabble Online, Word Chums, Boggle Online and more, I simply can’t resist a good word scrabble puzzle. So, I flexed my word solving muscles and began a search for the best scrabble and boggle games to close off 2018. After looking through various sites, I found a handy list of the top 10 scrabble and boggle games on a site called AppGrooves.

 34.

 35.
Best 10 List of Scrabble & Boggle Games by AppGrooves

 36.
While I instantly recognized some of the games, there were others I hadn’t heard about. So, I tested the games on their list to select the best of the best. It was a tough call, as several of the games were really great, but after careful selection, I narrowed down my top 3 favorites and reviewed them.

 37.

38.

 39.
Word Connect – Rating: 4.7, Downloads: 10M+

 40.
My first pick is Word Connect. I really loved this game as the difficulty level slowly increases as you advance through the game, so you always have an interesting and slightly more challenging puzzle to look forward to. Supposedly there are more than 2,500 puzzles, which I certainly won’t complain about, as it basically means unlimited fun! I also liked that there is no time limit, so you can focus on solving words without the added pressure. Another plus I found is that you can try your hand at daily bonuses and challenges. The personalized themes also add a really nice touch to the gaming experience.

 41.
I did find that as the levels increase, word difficulty also increases. So, don’t be surprised if you come across an obscure word in the more advanced levels. Thankfully the developers included a Scrabble dictionary tool, which I found to be really useful for quickly looking up the meaning of words I didn’t know.

 42.
Pros: Over 2,500 levels, progressive difficulty, no time limit, daily bonuses and challenges, personalized themes, dictionary tool.

 43.
Cons: More advanced levels have difficult or obscure words.

 44.
Overall: Put your word skills to the test with more than 2,500 scrabble levels, but be prepared to face more difficult words in the higher levels.

 45.

 46.

 47.
Word Chums – Rating: 4.8, Downloads: 1M+

 48.
My second pick, Word Chums, is a great choice if you want to challenge your friends or family to a word scrabble game. I found that the developers did a great job at bringing a new twist to the classic scrabble game, by turning it into an online competition between 2-4 players. I quickly found myself playing game after game as I was eager to see my name climb up the worldwide leaderboard. I also liked the fact that your character levels up the more you play and that you earn badges by completing achievements, which made the game even more addicting if that was even possible.

 49.
Like Word Connect, I did come across difficult words every now and then. Although there is no way to adjust difficulty level, I liked that you can get in-game hints for help solving the puzzle, or you can use the Word Chums dictionary tool to learn the meaning of the word.

 50.
Pros: Multiplayer game, worldwide leaderboard, badges and achievements, in-game hints, dictionary tool.

 51.
Cons: No option for adjusting difficulty level, tough words occasionally.

 52.
Overall: Challenge your friends to an addicting online scrabble game but know when to use a hint, so you don’t get stuck on the more difficult words.

 53.

 54.

 55.
Words With Friends 2 – Rating: 4.6, Downloads: 5M+

 56.
Words With Friends 2 is my third pick. I was already familiar with the original Words with Friends, so I wondered if the second iteration would hold up to the reputation of the original. Thankfully, Words With Friends 2 lived up to the test, and I found myself completely addicted to it within just a few minutes of playing! I particularly liked the variety of new game modes they came up with. My favorite is the Lightning Round, where you play a fast-paced game in teams with other players online. The challenge of solving puzzles quickly to score the most points can be really exciting, especially when you know the other players are doing their best to outmatch you. I also found the Solo Challenge mode to be fun, as you can practice your word solving skills by facing increasingly difficult opponents.

 57.
The only drawback I found is that sometimes I would receive a gift box in the middle of a game. Although the momentary interruption can be slightly distracting, it certainly is exciting to open them as you can get fun prizes and boosts to use during the game.

 58.
Pros: Solo mode, multiplayer mode, prizes and boosts.

 59.
Cons: Gift box notifications mid-game can be distracting.

 60.
Overall: Great for playing a variety of fun and challenging scrabble game modes, but you might get interrupted momentarily if you receive a gift box mid-game.

 61.

 62.
So, these are my top 3 word Scrabble and Boggle games. Although there are many other great word games out there, these are, in my opinion, the crème de la crème. I hope you enjoy playing them as much as I do. Happy word solving!

 77.
When it comes to our phones, it’s like having a tiny super computer in our pockets. Not only are they cellular phones that can communicate wirelessly across any distance on planet Earth, but they also encompass a litany of other features that sound too good to be true. And, yet, here we are. Our smart phones are just that: smart. They can accomplish so many tasks ranging from vital to trivial, and we can take them anywhere. For example, several pieces of survival gear are obsolete, so long as your phone battery holds up, because these devices have been recreated in the form of smartphone apps. These include flashlights that are built into phones these days, as well as GPS powered maps, and even a compass. These are, of course, not the most used apps on your phone by a long shot, but they’re worth a mention simply because they allow you to carry one small object in place of three objects of varying size. Your phone could save your life someday.

 78.
You can also go shopping on your phone. So, for example, you could order a nice dress from Charlotte Russe from anywhere, and you could even place another order with Amazon within mere moments of the first order. You can also watch movies and TV shows, via Netflix, Hulu, and the like, or your could play video games on the go. You can access music via both streaming via Spotify or stored on the phone itself. Of course, let’s not forget the basic functions of a phone, such as making and receiving calls, or sending and receiving text messages. Your phone is also a calculator, when needed, as well as a calendar. The utility of modern smart phones is nearly endless. Your phone can also be used as one of many places you can access files stored on the cloud for projects both personal and professional.

 92.

 93.
The first thing we need to say is that the title of this article is a little misleading. The comparison is not really between iPhone and Android but between iOS and Android; they are the two operating systems. The reason that many people refer to iPhone or Apple, rather than iOS, is that the phones and operating system go hand in hand when it comes to Apple. The same cannot be said for Android, where you have a choice from hundreds of different phones from a range of manufacturers.

 94.
So, you have a better range of choice if you choose Android. But this does not seem to put Apple fans off. The truth is that true fans of either the Apple iOS system or Android are probably not going to be dissuaded from their choice. But, what if you have not made your mind up yet? We are going to compare iOS and Android in different areas. Hopefully, you should find the information useful.

 95.
How important is choice?

 96.
Only you can really answer this question. The fact is that if you choose the iOS operating system you have to buy an iPhone. If you love these phones then this is not a problem, but it’s worth noting that only a few different iPhones are available and they all cost a fair few dollars.

 97.
On the other hand, the Android OS is available on hundreds of phones from manufacturers such as Samsung and Huawei. You get to choose from a wide range of phones which all have their best features, such as high-res screens and high-performance cameras. One of the best things about choosing an Android phone is that expandable storage is available on many.

 98.
It’s also worth remembering that you can pick up an Android phone from all the major phone network stores. Just find T-Mobile locations close to you, and you have a whole range of phones to choose from. Find your local Apple store, and you get to choose from a small selection of iPhones that have similar functionality. Of course, If you are a die-hard Apple fan, this is all you need.

 99.
What about software?

 100.
One of the biggest selling points of the iPhone used to be that iOS developers were always well ahead of the game. Anyone with an Android phone used to have to wait a lot longer for the latest apps. This is no longer the case. In the clear majority of cases, apps are available for both iOS and Android at the same time.

 101.
The pros and cons of customization

 102.
If you use iOS then your experience is controlled by Apple, with very limited customization available. Basically, you get what comes, and your experience is the same as all other users. This has its advantages. The fact that Apple has control, and others are not able to access the OS and make changes, means that malware is less common. Users are also able to use any iPhone with ease, as the experience is the same, overall. Of course, this means that you do not have the additional interest and functionality that customization can potentially bring.

 103.
Android is an open source OS which means that developers can customize as they see fit. This means that the experience can be far more wide-ranging for Android users. The benefits that this brings should be weighed up against the negatives. These include the fact that there is an increased risk of malware and that users can encounter a vastly different experience if they change to a different make of phone.

 104.
As you can see, there are advantages and disadvantages to be had from both iOS and Android. Android is the more popular OS of the two when it comes to Internet access; having around 37% of the market, compared to 13% for iOS. But, that should not influence your decision; you should make the choice that is best for what you want from a phone.
121.
Some interesting statistics mark the humble beginnings of both iOS and Android platforms in relation to their apps. When App store went live back in 2008 alongside the iPhone 3G, […]

 122.

 123.

 124.
Some interesting statistics mark the humble beginnings of both iOS and Android platforms in relation to their apps. When App store went live back in 2008 alongside the iPhone 3G, it hosted 500 apps. That’s a modest number compared to what they have today. On the other hand, Microsoft was having 18,000 apps for its mobile OS at the time. However, after Apple overcame a few teething problems, it finally overtook its rivals when it achieved ten million downloads in the first weekend. These figures turned into 100 million download in the first 3 months. This translated into 1.5 billion downloads in that same year. App store now had some 65,000 apps dedicated to it.
125. Interestingly enough, most of the apps here were meant for gaming. It appears that consumers had already developed interest towards mobile gaming, which is why app developers were giving them games on their smart phones in form of gaming apps. But of course things were not as good as what is currently being witnessed in the Slots2Slots app. Developers had not yet perfected the art of making cutting edge gaming apps with quality graphics and audio, although quality control was strictly practiced by Apple before allowing mobile apps into their app store. Even then, quality meant abiding by the standards of that time.

 126.
Android rivalry to Apple

 127.
Steve Jobs was right when he predicted that it was going to be very hard for rivals to catch up with App store. For sure, none of the developers was able to compete with Apple at the time. Only Android was able to catch up and compete fairly – something that is true even today. Apple had generated that critical number of audience, plus it had a tighter quality control policy in place. Consumers had developed loyalty towards the platform.

 128.
While Android apps were hot on the heels following the success of Apple, the developers in question were doing everything they could to prevent mass defection to the rival that Android was. Today, Android apps have far outpaced iOS apps in numbers.

 129.
Despite this, app store revenue tends to be slightly higher than that of Android. On the other hand, Android app downloads tend to be 60% higher than App store downloads.

 130.
The reason why Apple still manages a higher revenue threshold is because it still holds on to a premium customer base which can afford iPhones – customers who have no qualms paying for premium apps and in-app purchases. However, that’s not the case for Android consumers. First off, the Android market ranges from extremely cheap phones to expensive ones. This means that only a tiny percentage of Android users are willing to pay for their apps. The rest prefer to use free apps. So while Apple has more revenue out of the app downloads, Android has the numbers.

 131.
Verdict

 132.
Despite quality of Google Play apps not been at par with that of the app store, you can still find the best android casino app (if you are an online casino user) in the market. These are independently designed by top-notch casino software developers to attract new consumers and keep the existing ones. Generally, Android app developers have improved, especially in the area of gaming apps.

 163.
PRESS RELEASE

 164.
Mysterious printing syndrome spreading worldwide

 165.
Scientists from the Exploring Centre of Unexplored Phenomena proved yesterday that beyond any reasonable doubt we are facing a threat of a new civilization disease’ pandemic. The governments of the greatest powers in cooperation with the Organization for Healthy World plan to convene a special congress. Meanwhile, doctors ask to keep calm. There is still hope!

 166.
As reported by specialists, office workers around the world are in serious danger. No matter whether you work in a corporation at the top of the A New York high rise or in a modest post office in Vladivostok, you too could be threatened by the mysterious printing syndrome. As with each disease, the key to a cure is early diagnosis and prevention. So how do you recognize an upcoming threat?

 167.
If you have difficulties establishing a relationship with your office printing equipment, or if your printer jams or simply ignores you and avoids any contact, you should immediately consult a specialist. Disregarding the first symptoms can lead to insomnia, various neuroses, anxiety or plain madness. In a worst case, the results may even lead to running with an axe through the office corridors, which as we all know isn’t welcomed in most corporations. Fortunately, there is hope! World class specialist in the field of paper and printing psychology Dr. Doctor recommends a miraculous cure – a smartphone application called Happy2Print. So if you observe that your office colleagues (or even yourself) have ever thought of printing results with a growing anxiety, this app is perfect for you. 194.
If you’ve been planning to grab a new smartphone or if someone offers you a very enticing deal which include a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 —-think twice and watch the compilation video above that shows Sammy’s exploding flagship device. The company had already issued massive global recall and have stopped selling the Note 7, however, consumer reaction seemed to say that the “damage has been done”.

 195.

 196.
On the video, we’ve seen smoking-burnt Note 7 and even report of explosion on an airplane. There’s also a clip on the video that shows a woman with a sudden explosion on her bag, black smoke came out like it was a diffused mini atomic bomb. How about a user dining in and suddenly his Note 7 sizzled in white smoke? Included also in the compilation is Fox’s report about a Jeep burnt while charging a Note 7, where the user told “that he will not let any other Samsung device/s on his home”. Another car was also smoking at the end of the video.

 197.
If you’re an owner of the new Note 7, better have it returned and replaced by a new safer device. Safety first, see image below.

 212.
One of the best advantages of living in today’s world is having almost every service, information, or entertainment you need in the palm of your hand or safely tucked away […]

 213.

One of the best advantages of living in today’s world is having almost every service, information, or entertainment you need in the palm of your hand or safely tucked away in your pockets. Ever since the first touch-screen smartphone was introduced, many major companies started investing in mobile apps and themes to keep their customers connected to the different services their offer.

 214.
Online casinos were no exception, and there are now hundreds of mobile apps and websites that successfully capture the playability, bonuses, and game selection of the original casinos in your favorite Android devices, most of which are catalogued at Android casino apps sites like .

 215.
However, as so many different apps leave you spoiled for choice, it can also be quite overwhelming to go through each and every one and find an Android casino that you’ll really enjoy. To help you make a smart selection, here are five criteria to consider when choosing an Android casino.

 216.

 217.
The Game Selection

 218.
The first thing you need to look at is the selection of games the casino offers. If you are to stay with a casino for a long time, it means that you’ll need to have plenty of games to match your playing needs. Most mobile casinos stock up on slots because they are best adapted to mobile devices, both in terms of graphics and performance, but also the ease of play and navigation. However, you’ll also need a number of different table games, and favorably a live casino section where you’ll play against real people with a real dealer. The best casinos would also offer games from top industry names like NetEnt, Microgaming, etc.

 219.
Performance and Ease of Use

 220.
Nothing makes a casino unappealing and frustrating as bad performance does. Whether you choose an app or play it through your browser, make sure that the casino you choose is actually well-adapted to your Android device and can be easily enjoyed. Most top Android casinos will run very smoothly on your Android devices and finding your way back and forth through games and user menus will be very easy to do. On the other hand, there are some that claim to be Android casinos, but in fact lag and crash constantly, resulting in a number of frustrating “glitches”.

 221.
Bonuses and Rewards

 222.
Apart from having plenty of smooth-running games to choose from, you’ll want to be rewarded for choosing that casino and staying with it. The majority of good casinos offer very appealing welcome bonuses that match your deposits, but also weekly and monthly bonuses and points-rewards systems as a token of appreciating your loyalty. A good welcome bonus would be a 100-150% match on your initial deposit, and subsequent accumulative bonuses for your second and third deposit. But before you obliviously choose the best bonus offer, dig a little bit deeper into each bonus and check for the rollovers and other payout requirements before you make your choice.

 223.
Payment Options and Restrictions

 224.
Before you hop on to create a user account, you should also check whether the casino has any restrictions to your country in terms of deposits and bonuses. Some countries, like the US, have passed laws restricting money transfers to online gambling sites, but also other restrictions that may prevent you from enjoying the full experience the casino has to offer. That’s why you should always read the fine print and check whether your country is restricted in any way.

 225.
Another thing to consider is payment and withdrawal options and terms, i.e. whether the casino offers your preferred choice of sending and receiving money, but also whether they take any fee. Casinos shouldn’t charge you any fee for withdrawing your winnings.

 226.
Reputation

 227.
And finally, you have to consider the reputation a casino has. Just because casino apps are a new thing, doesn’t mean that the casino doesn’t have a solid reputation. Most mobile platforms are operated and supported by reputable names with a long experience in the online casino industry.

 228.
By reputation, we mean three different things. First of all, you have to know how secure a casino is in terms of both protecting your banking information, but also stability in the long run. You don’t want a casino which has a shady protection, nor one that doesn’t have a good chance of surviving the next years without bankrupting and sinking your winnings with them.

 229.
Secondly, you’ll need to be assured that any complaints, payouts or problems will be dealt successfully by the support team. And thirdly, experienced casinos know how to keep their clientele and they constantly strive to improve by offering new bonuses, games, and rewards to players. This means that the time you invest playing will be rewarded with fresh offers, exciting games and real money bonuses.

 235.
Why Instant Play Casino Games Are Better Than Apps on Android

 245.

Developing an Android app involves several processes and elaborate planning that come together to form a harmonious whole. It involves lots of brainstorming about the app design, development, then comes the testing and finally you have to deploy the app and make it a successful deployment. There is one way to avoid all of that, and that is to go web-based, something that online casinos have successfully achieved with today’s web development technology like HTML5, JavaScript etc.

 246.
In fact, the nature of their business allows them to abandon the idea of using native Android apps for their casino games and go a different and more convenient way. In the past even desktop casino games had to be downloaded, but as web development advanced further, casinos have gone instant-play all the way, which has been reflected in their mobile gaming products as well. Take the Amsterdams casino app as an example, it doesn’t need downloading, installing and doesn’t take up space on your smartphone. You just open the web-based app in your browser which is developed in HTML5 and start spinning.

 247.
There is a huge debate over which is better, native or web apps. Obviously, the web apps which offer instant play casino games are far better for the needs of industries like the online casino industry. When you have instant play casino games instead of games that have to be played via a casino app, you save yourself from troubles that arise with clogging your mobile with too many apps. Why do that when you can save space.

 248.
This is especially beneficial to players that have very low space memory and slow performing mobiles. You will say that playing instant play casino games in a mobile browser on such mobiles may mean using up much of the RAM memory, but it’s the contrary. Yes, that does happen if you use Google Chrome as the browser. But, if you do that with the Android browser, you get much lower RAM usage. Chrome is great, but it can cumbersome when using it on slower mobile devices. There are also other Internet browsing apps that are very lightweight.

 249.

 250.
It’s true that native casino apps are developed essentially and specifically for Android. This means they are developed to be totally compatible with the device’s hardware and native features, but with the advances in today’s web technologies those barriers are slowly being overrun by web apps that offer instant play casino games. You can find an i-depth explanation of this shift at Casino App Kings, a site that compares Apps and instant play casino games.

 251.
Nowadays both work and look much the same, with very little differences. In truth both native Android casino apps and web apps that run in mobile browsers have their own set of unique problems. Native casino apps have to be updated constantly, which means taking more space on your mobile device, web apps are updated without the need for user intervention. One thing is clear, online casinos don’t like native apps much. Go here for a list of instant play online casinos.

 275.
If Kim Kardashian is known to break the internet, Nick Lee has earned himself the title on breaking the norm for Apple devices. Included on his peculiar works, is a Windows 95 on an Apple Watch and now he’s on another wild development of bringing an end to arch-rival —-porting an Android into an iPhone.

 276.
However, you need a special, 3D-printed smartphone case to make it work.

 277.

 278.

 279.
Lee utilize and clone the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and created a custom version of Android Marshmallow he could integrate on a board —-sounds like an engineering project. No he assembles the board with a battery supply, converter and resistor into a 3D printed casing from Thingiverse. The earlier prototype is quite bulky and you would’ve think it’s a cellphone back in early 2000.

 280.
Then, finally the final design has been slimmed down to a size of normal smartphone battery pack case with openings for HDMI, USB ports and SD card slot. On the demonstration above, a white covering was placed on the enclosure to cover the circuit board inside.

 281.
The Android iPhone as it may sounds familiar or unfamiliar, Lee was able to complete the boot and integration of the iPhone-to-case by utilizing the Tendigi app where he works as CTO, it’s a mobile design and development studio in Brooklyn.

 282.
It’s sure a tedious tasks on completing this work but all-in-all it’s interesting to see a custom open-source version of Android running on Apple’s tightly secured iPhone.
