New rules apply. If you pitch a <a href="https://webjobposting.com/bloggers-fake-pics-can-you-see-what-gave-her-away/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">blogger the wrong way, you could get written up and publicly slammed by the blogger for everyone on the Internet to see</a>. So how do you go about getting a publicity explosion without it blowing up in your face? Here are a few “do’s” and “don’ts” for getting good blog attention.</p><p>1. Don’t leave your pitch in the comments of a blog post. Send a personal email. Leave comments on blog posts, but only to participate in the conversation, not to pitch or talk about you and your products, services, or book.</p><p>2. Do target your pitch to the interests and niche covered by the blogger. There’s nothing a blogger hates more than receiving pitches completely unrelated to their subject.</p><p>3. Don’t send a mass mailing press release.</p><p>4. Do <a href="https://vinzite.com/austin-burger-blogger-rises-as-new-famous-person-of-popular-food/">personalize any pitch or press release with the blogger’s</a> name, spelled correctly, of course.</p><p>5. Don’t ask for links. Invite the blogger to review your material. They’ll do the rest if they think your pitch is right for their audience.</p><p>6. Do develop a relationship with <a href="https://vinzite.com/before-you-start-your-blog-think-about-what-type-of-blogger-you-are/">bloggers by reading and commenting on their blogs</a> before you ever pitch them. Subscribe to the <a href="https://vinzite.com/tracking-news-through-rss-feeds/">RSS feed</a> so you’ll stay current on blog posts.</p><p>7. Know who else is talking about you. Research your area of expertise through blog searches on Technorati.com, Blogsearch.google.com, and Google alerts.</p><p>8. Offer valuable content. Don’t announce your product, book, or <a href="https://gettravelista.com/arkansas-encourages-people-to-use-online-services-as-they-escapetheindoors-and-celebrate-great-outdoors-month/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">services</a> as if they were the greatest thing to be created. Instead, tell the blogger how you can <a href="https://vinzite.com/educational-problem-solving/">solve a problem</a> for their readers. Then mention the book, product, or service.</p><p>9. Build relationships. Do this over the course of a couple of <a href="https://edutared.com/career-tips-this-week-true-grit-is-knowing-when-to-quit/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">weeks</a> by participating in the conversations on the bloggers’ blogs.</p><p>10. Have your own blog to show bloggers you “get it.” And use trackbacks so they <a href="https://vinzite.com/tips-you-should-know-before-starting/">know</a> you’re commenting about them on your own blog before you pitch them. (Trackbacks are an automated blogging feature that notifies a blog when another blog talks about them.)</p><p>11. <a href="https://edutared.com/dear-teachers-please-dont-make-your-lessons-relevant/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Don’t waste bloggers’ time on something that isn’t relevant</a> to their blog.</p><p>12. Don’t use crude language or four-letter words. We see this a lot in blogs written by professionals who would never dream of using this same <a href="https://edutared.com/malaysian-officers-in-taiwan-to-enhance-chinese-language-exchanges/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">language in their clients’ offices</a>.</p><p>13. Remember that anything you say to a <a href="https://vinzite.com/before-you-hire-a-blogger-read-this/">blogger might be seen by journalists because many journalists read</a> blogs on topics they cover.</p><p>14. Certainly, never chastise a blogger for not accepting comments at their blog. Contact them by email if you have comments, feedback, or praise about their content.</p><p>15. Don’t point out typos on a blogger’s blog. They take the time to be courteous and respectful to others.</p><p>The second type of blogger is a good person who republishes an article without permission but still links to the original article. They take the time to show a lesser amount of respect for others.</p><p>The third type of <a href="https://webjobposting.com/derby-blogger-what-to-say-while-someone-loses-a-baby/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">blogger is the good person that writes about something someone</a> else writes, puts a spin on the original article, and places a link to the article within their blog site.</p><p>The fourth type of blogger is the okay person who blogs about another blogger and links the original article and blogger’s commentary. <a href="https://vinzite.com/before-you-hire-a-blogger-read-this/">This type of blogger</a> fails to give more credit to the original creator of the information.</p><p>The fifth type of blogger is the bad person who blogs about another blogger’s information but only links the blog site back to them and does not link the original information to their blog.</p><p>The sixth type of blogger is the bad person who blogs on a topic and then attributes their blog as their own idea. This is a nasty habit to do in any written form. It is so close to being a form of plagiarism, yet most <a href="https://webjobposting.com/this-fitness-blogger-clapped-back-at-people-this-fitness-blogger-clapped-back-at-people/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">people</a> will not do too much about this situation when it happens, so the blogger will not have any repercussions from their actions.</p><p>The seventh type of <a href="https://vinzite.com/how-to-get-guest-bloggers-for-your-website-or-blog/">blogger is the nasty person that blogs</a> a republished article without any permission, link, or mention of the original author of the information. They fail to list the right names of organizations, subject matter, and other important relationships to the information.</p><p>The tenth type of <a href="https://vinzite.com/blogger-network-is-a-great-traffic-resource-for-your-blog/">blogger is the dumb person that blogs</a> “just because everyone else is doing it.” They may write informative articles and posts, yet they do not keep the site current, pretty much abandoned at times, then write occasionally with a completely different topic. At one point, they try to tie the new post to the older postings. Both of these have their advantages and disadvantages, so if you <a href="https://vinzite.com/all-you-need-to-know-about-making-money-as-a-blogger/">need to know</a> what they are to help you decide which way to go, you should read on and figure out which one would seem to be best for your needs.</p><h3>Blogger has several advantages:</h3><p>The first is that Google owns it, so any links you post in your blog will be looked on favourably by the world’s biggest <a href="https://vinzite.com/cell-search-engine-optimization-suggestions/">search engine</a>.</p><p>It’s also effortless for beginners to start using it right away. Blogger setup is straightforward – all you have to do is follow a few clear prompts. There is nothing to install.</p><p>Blogger is completely free to use – you don’t even have to purchase a domain name. The Blogger system will give you a <a href="https://gettravelista.com/roxbury-international-film-fest-puts-bostons-green-book-sites-on-the-map/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">site address based on the keyword you put</a> in during the setup process. However, since Blogger is so popular, the major keywords will probably be taken already.</p><p>Ease of use. It’s easy to post to your blog and also change the look of your blog. It’s all done through the Bloggers dashboard function. If you have more than one blog set up, you can manage them from the same dashboard.</p><p>But, Blogger does have some major drawbacks if you want to use a blog to make money.</p><p>There is a lack of flexibility. When you compare it to WordPress, the things you can do with it are minimal. There are custom themes for Blogger that you can download and install, but most of them are very much the same. <a href="https://webjobposting.com/this-blogger-is-a-perfect-doppelganger-of-ryan-gosling-and-you-will-not/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">This means that your Blogger</a> blog will find it hard to stand out from all the others, especially if they use the same theme as you.</p><p>Ownership: You don’t own your Blogger site, and Blogger can take away your blog anytime if you break the rules.</p><p>The other option for your blog is WordPress.</p><h3>Advantages:</h3><p>WordPress lets you use your own domain name. You <a href="https://vinzite.com/things-you-should-do-after-installing-wordpress/">install WordPress</a> on your own site, and this is also very easy to do, provided that your Cpanel uses Fantastico. If it does, then it is straightforward to set up a blog on a site. You can do it in less than two minutes.</p><p>There are lots of themes and a host of plug-ins that will increase the usefulness of your blog without you having to <a href="https://darbi.org/know-the-right-source-to-find-the-c-programming-candidates/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">know anything about programming</a>.</p><p>However, WordPress does have some problems. It is not as user-friendly as Blogger, <a href="https://darbi.org/plus-size-clothing-fashion-tips-buying-guide/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">plus it will cost you some money to buy</a> your domain name and get a hosting package.</p><p>But despite these disadvantages, most professional <a href="https://vinzite.com/blogging-wars-wordpress-vs-blogger/">bloggers use WordPress</a> because they can maintain their ownership of their own blogs and customize them as much as they want to.</p><p>I certainly chose WordPress for my own Canberra marketing site for those very reasons.</p><p>I would, of course, advise you to look at both options.
