Yet the spectacle soon feels repetitive, as though the film is recycling familiar tricks instead of pushing boundaries. The heavy reliance on slow-motion shots and grand set pieces begins to overshadow any chance of genuine tension.</p><p>Hrithik Roshan tries to inject charisma into the story, but his performance is trapped in a script that gives him little space to evolve. The supporting cast, though competent, are overshadowed by the sheer weight of unnecessary glamour and bombast. Emotional connections are hinted at but never meaningfully developed, leaving the characters cold and distant.</p><p>The storytelling in ‘War 2’ is its biggest weakness. The screenplay strings together grandiose set-ups without offering much coherence or emotional pay-off. The twists, while designed to shock, often feel forced and predictable. Instead of building on the strengths of its predecessor, the film overindulges in visual noise at the expense of engaging narrative flow.</p><p>In the end, ‘War 2’ feels like a missed opportunity. It lacks the freshness that could have made it stand apart from other franchise extensions. While it works as a brief spectacle on the big screen, it does not leave a lasting impact. This rate is a significant reduction from the 30% tariffs that US President Donald Trump had threatened to impose, but is still an increase compared to rates prior to his return to office. Key sectors affected include vehicles, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductors, which now face the new 15% levy, though some items such as aircraft and certain chemicals will be exempt for the time being.</p><p>The agreement follows months of tense negotiations and last-minute talks as the two economies—together accounting for nearly a third of global trade—sought to de-escalate escalating tariffs that threatened to disrupt industries on both sides of the Atlantic.</p><h3><strong>Energy and investment commitments</strong></h3><p>In exchange for the capped tariffs, the EU committed to purchasing $750 billion worth of American energy products annually through to 2027, as well as increasing investments within the United States by a further $600 billion. European officials describe this as an effort to enhance stability and predictability for business, particularly after a year marked by economic uncertainty and intensifying trade rhetoric.</p><h3><strong>Mixed reactions from both sides</strong></h3><p>French Prime Minister François Bayrou publicly condemned the arrangement, calling it “a dark day” for Europe, while other EU leaders, such as German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, said the agreement was necessary to avoid more damaging economic fallout. Most EU countries described the agreement as an imperfect but essential compromise.</p><p>President Trump hailed the deal as the biggest in history, claiming it would end what he characterised as unfair treatment of US exporters and strengthen ties with Europe.</p><h3><strong>Continued uncertainty for industries</strong></h3><p>Despite initial relief in financial markets, European businesses remain cautious. Leaders in the automotive and chemical industries noted that, while the 15% levy is less severe than what was feared, it still marks a sharp increase from the previous average tariff rate of 2.5%. Concerns also remain for sectors like steel and pharmaceuticals, where specific arrangements are yet to be clarified. For steel and aluminium, existing US tariffs of 50% will stay in place for now—with both parties agreeing to future negotiations on a quota system to regulate trade volumes.</p><p>Further details and the final product lists are expected to be released in a joint EU-US statement by 1 August. The launch coincides with the opening of Tesla’s inaugural showroom in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, making this the first Tesla car available in India.</p><p>The Model Y is being introduced as a completely built import and is offered in two variants for Indian buyers: the Standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and the Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive. The Standard RWD model costs Rs 59.89 lakh, while the Long Range RWD variant is priced at Rs 67.89 lakh. Both versions are expected to appeal to the premium segment, rivaling the likes of the BMW iX1 and BYD Sealion 7.</p><p>The Standard RWD Model Y offers a claimed range of up to 500 km (WLTP certified) on a single charge and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 5.9 seconds. The Long Range variant increases the range to an impressive 622 km and achieves 0 to 100 kph in 5.6 seconds. Regardless of model, both vehicles can reach a top speed of 201 kph.</p><p>Inside, the Model Y features a minimalist interior design, with either black or white upholstery. The dashboard is dominated by a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which manages nearly all vehicle functions, complemented by an 8-inch secondary screen for rear passengers. Additional highlights include a panoramic glass roof and premium features such as Tesla’s Autopilot driver assistance and over-the-air software updates. Customers can also opt for a full self-driving upgrade in the future at an additional cost.</p><p>All vehicles are currently being imported as completely built units, reflected in their higher price compared to international markets. The Model Y is reportedly shipped from Tesla’s Shanghai factory and is not being produced locally at this stage.</p><p>Bookings for the Tesla Model Y are now open, with the first Indian deliveries expected in late 2025.
