UN General Assembly (UNGA) യില്‍ World Meteorological Organization (WMO) അവതരിപ്പിച്ച റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ 150 രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ 33 കോടി പേര്‍ മണല്‍, പൊടിക്കാറ്റിനെ തുടര്‍ന്നുള്ള പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ നേരിടുന്നവരാണ്. കാലാവസ്ഥാ വ്യതിയാനമാണ് ഇതിനു പിന്നിലെ കാരണം. 2025 മുതല്‍ 2034 വരെയുള്ള 10 വര്‍ഷം പൊടിക്കാറ്റിനെ നേരിടാനുള്ള പതിറ്റാണ്ടായും യു.എന്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.</p>
