Here Are Their Positions</a></b></p>]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>According to data from onchain analyst Yu Jin, the short positions of @qwatio, known as the “insider whale,” were liquidated again during the crypto market rally.</p><p>This investor, who has been liquidated many times before, seems to continue opening short positions until all of his collateral is melted.</p><p>@qwatio, whose position had dropped to $43.68 million on July 3, recovered some of his position and added positions again as the Bitcoin price pulled back slightly.</p><p>However, the collateral on the $16.28 million short position he opened is currently only $800,000, with the total loss on this position calculated at $15.48 million.</p><p>The remaining position size after the latest liquidations is $47.34 million: 40x short position of 368 BTC: worth $40.05 million. The opening price is $107,724, and the liquidation price is $109,196.</p><p>25x short position of 2846 ETH: $7.28 million value. Opening price $2,452, liquidation price $2,611.</p><p>On the other hand, according to data from chain analysis platform Arkham, a wallet believed to be associated with Abraxas Capital transferred 1,000 BTC (approximately $108.23 million) to the Kraken exchange. The firm’s senior investment advisor Arash Nasri said in a statement that the initial response in the industry had been “surprisingly positive.”</p><p>Following these developments, Cartwright has now published its first “Annual Bitcoin Assessment Report.” The purpose of this report is described as increasing Bitcoin awareness among institutional investors.</p><p>When asked whether the fund would increase its Bitcoin allocation in the future, Nasri said: “If Bitcoin continues to provide the returns we expect, our real question will be ‘when should we reduce it?’”</p><p>It was learned that the firm has started talks with other clients about similar investments. However, Nasri said that pension funds need to fully understand Bitcoin and take steps with a long-term perspective.</p><p>Stating that Cartwright has a neutral position in this process, Nasri said, “We are not a firm that manages investments. We are independent advisors and have built up a serious knowledge base to understand the potential impacts of Bitcoin on individuals, companies, asset owners and governments.</p><p>“It is our duty to investors to raise awareness in this area,” he said. The cryptocurrency gained 15% in the first half of the year, a more subdued performance compared to the 45% rise in the same period last year. But analysts say the real rise may be starting now.</p><p>Bitcoin, which had largely traded above $100,000 since May 9, was trading at $108,000 today, about 3% below the record of $111,999 reached in May.</p><p>“We are still seeing an acceleration in ETF adoption. Institutional treasuries are just starting to develop Bitcoin strategies, and we expect more money to flow through these channels,” said Devin Ryan, head of financial technology research at Citizens Bank. According to Ryan, there is increasing individual and institutional interest in Bitcoin, and this trend points to strong upside potential.</p><p>Another element that plays a significant role in this rise is “Bitcoin treasury companies.” Firms like Nakamoto, Twenty One and Strive Asset Management are raising capital to buy Bitcoin through stock issuances by merging with public companies. “There are mergers that are pending SEC approval. Markets could price in expectations of an earlier rate cut if President Donald Trump appoints a replacement for Fed Chair Jerome Powell. Additionally, the GENIUS Act, a stablecoin bill expected to pass Congress, could boost interest in Bitcoin, especially among individual investors.</p><p>Kendrick noted that some investors may be concerned about Bitcoin’s four-year cycle toward the end of September. The efforts center on sophisticated fraudulent schemes that trick victims into paying small profits and then losing their fortunes through fake investment platforms.</p><p>The Secret Service’s Global Investigative Operations Center (GIOC) has seized nearly $400 million worth of digital assets over the past decade, a figure that has not been previously made public. They think they’re safe when they use Bitcoin, but that’s not true,” Smith said during training in Bermuda. Bermuda Governor Andrew Murdoch warned: “Technology is great for economic growth, but it’s also open to abuse. You have to have strong investigative powers.”</p><p>According to FBI data, of the $16.6 billion in total internet crime reported in the US in 2024, $9.3 billion was related to crypto. The elderly suffered the most losses, losing $2.8 billion to fake investment sites alone.</p><p>The Secret Service is working closely with industry partners to recover stolen funds. Coinbase and Tether have assisted with wallet analysis and asset freezes in some cases.
