  103. Homework 1 is ready. This homework asks you to think about
  104. tactics for programming in Haskell and translations from
  105. Haskell to Java, C, or C++ in the two parts due on
  106. Oct. 22. The second part is due near the end of the semester
  107. and is about Erlang. Both are to get you thinking during the
  108. semester and to help you relate the new languages to ones you
  109. have already learned. Keep them in mind during the semester,
  110. but don't rush into turning them in.

  140.        A set of "meeting outlines" will be available for each unit,
  141. before lectures start for that unit.  These are designed for
  142. taking notes as they contain an outline and much of what I'll
  143. show you in class, but without all the really important bits.
  144. This may be helpful if you don't want to be distracted by
  145. copying things down, or if it helps you to focus on the
  146. important parts.  However, I always update them as I prepare
  147. for lecture, and so don't print them out until the last
  148. minute.  They are linked from the syllabus also, so if you
  149. want to get the meeting outlines for where we are in the
  150. syllabus, just click on the topic name in the syllabus.
