28.
Anyways, the series is progressing nicely and it’s only the second episode! It gives me that feel good shoujo feeling I got when I watched Lovely Complex. In this episode, the relationship between Naoki and Kotoko is getting… a little bit better. And by a little bit better I mean she blackmails him (with photos his mother took when she dressed him up like a girl) into helping her study so she can crack the top 50 students list.
29.

30. He of course has to agree on the condition that she gives him the photo after exams. The time they spend together induces a somewhat… civil relationship between the two in that they now actual speak to each other in school.
31. The civility all changes though when Kotoko’s friends find out that she’s living with Naoki and his family (this comes about by the “charm” that Naoki’s mother gives Kotoko - pictures of her and Naoki sleeping during a study session). The next day the entire school finds out - enraging Naoki. Hmm… will they be able to get back to the path of potential romance? Well of course, this is shoujo afterall.

 46.

Well, it’s the new spring season for anime and one of the new titles, “Itazura na Kiss” debuted the other day. It is based on the manga series of the same name and is everyone’s favorite genre: SHOUJO!

 47.

I haven’t read the manga, so I wasn’t really spoilered or comparing it. I actually liked the first episode - and it has a lot to live up to since I’m a major shoujo fan.Classic story of the dumb, not-so-popular girl (Kotoko) having a crush on the popular, attractive, emotionally unavailable guy (Naoki). Yes, it’s cliche - but it is still enjoyable. It starts out with Kotoko being rejected by Naoki when she tries to give him a love letter. She is of course, crushed, and most of the episode is her gang-looking friend threatening Naoki and the others trying to cheer her up. They end up at her newly-built house, which ends up collapsing after a 2.0 earthquake (which, if you are not familiar with the Richter scale, is… QUITE small). They are taken in by one of her father’s friends - and if you couldn’t guess - her father’s friend is the father of none other than Naoki.

 48.
The art and voice acting were nicely done. I didn’t want to stab my eyes or ears out with a sharp object at any point in the episode. However, a few of Kotoko’s friends are… a bit homely looking, but I’ll let that pass.

 49.
The opening and ending are very good. ESPECIALLY THE ENDING. GO!GO!7188 is one of my favorite bands, so I was very excited to find out that they did the ending song. The single for “Kataomoi Fighter” will be coming out on May 28th, so I can’t wait to have my hands on the full song - and not just the one and a half minute anime version.

 50.
I haven’t given it a rating yet obviously, since I’ve only seen the one episode - but I’ll be watching to find out what happens next!

 95.

This is what extreme boredom gives me: after watching the first four episodes of Bleach about a year ago, then dropping it - i decide to pick it back up. I actually enjoyed it. So much in fact that I sped through 150-some odd episodes within a week. Of course this comes from the girl who also likes Naruto, Tokyo Majin, and Zombie-Loan.

 96.
However, during my marathoning of Ichigo being a whiny bitch, Urahara and Byakuya being epic, Rukia and Inoue being useless; I stumbled upon the subtle racism of Bleach! That’s right, Bleach hates Latinos.

 97.

98. ulquiorra, you’re gonna get deported!

 99.
In the story of Bleach there are the antagonists: Hollows. These ugly things are souls with unfinished business who wear masks. That look like bones. Or something. You’ll probably say: Show me the evidence of racism! Unless you yourself have in fact stumble upon this yourselves, in that case - i applaud you. But on to the evidence - The evidence that the creator of Bleach apparently believes that people of Spanish descent are evil.

 100.

 101.

 102.
The world of the Hollows is called: “Hueco Mundo“. Hueco in Spanish means hollow/hole and Mundo is world so basically…. Hollow World.

 103.

 104.

 105.
Espada. The hollows that are in the Espada are the top ten strongest. Then of course you have other Arrancar groups like Numeros, Fraccion, Privaron Espada, Exequias.

 106.

 107.

 108.
Menos are the hollows in which there are less of them… all have subgroups with Spanish names such as: Gillian, Adjuchas, Vasto Lordes. Not to mention the Arrancar.

 109.

 110.

 111.
The compound in which Aizen lives in is called Las Noches.

 112.

 113.

 114.
The theme for any one of the Arrancar during a fight is Spanish instrumental music.

 115.

 116.

 117.
Chad or Sado is of Mexican descent. Hey guess what? His power is that of a Hollow’s. I bet his “abuelo” never saw that coming.

 118.

 119.

 120.
All of the Arrancar have Spanish names and their powers also use Spanish words (Cero anyone?).

 121.

 122.

 123.

He notices that Sumomo is different during school than she is when they (Tsuwabuki in Yuki-chan mode, of course) are collecting the star drops together. Perhaps a future romance?
There are also two days (that coincide with the full moon and new moon) in which he’ll be a human for a whole day and a sheep for a whole day. Sumomo and Tsuwabuki/Yuki-chan are off one night to collect a star drop when Sumomo’s friend Nako witnesses the event. She seems unfazed by the whole thing. Kisaragi-sensei tells Tsuwabuki/Yuki-chan that no one can see them collecting the stars. Tsuwabuki/Yuki-chan consults his book and finds out they have to erase Nako’s memory. Sumomo is against this, and eventually Tsuwabuki/Yuki-chan finds a way in which they don’t have to - thus Nako now knows their secret.

 189.
In the first episode, we’re introduced to the three main characters: Michiru (the girl), Chika, and Shito (Chika-white hair, Shito-blue hair). Michiru is a high school student who is basically used by her so called “friends”. She accidently bumps into Shito and Chika one day in the hallway. Shito and Chika seemed to be quite popular in school because they “survived” an incident that happened a while ago. Basically, she eventually finds out they’re… zombies in a way because when she takes her glasses off she can see rings around people’s necks that indentify when they are going to die. Confusing, I know.

Well I might have been, but I was severely disappointed during this first episode. Basically all that happens is that we learn just how much of a perv Saito is, and how er… possessive Louise can be.
One of the villians from the first season is killed, the Princess is now Queen - and happens to get kidnapped. Those two important pieces of information took up about… three minutes of the entire episode. Hopefully the next episode won’t be such a disappointment.
