What does this mean for you? <br /> <ol> <li value=1>This change in licensing is aimed at improving the user experience <li value=2>The new change introduces the CCB, CCX (for eXternal) and the CCS (for ISVs). Known guest users can read and access data only. </li><li>HCL Domino Complete Collaboration eXternal User (CCX) for B2B users - CCX users have full functionality to use Domino and Domino Leap (if installed) applications and workflows but cannot create applications themselves. </li><li>HCL Domino Complete Collaboration Solution Partner Edition (CCS) for ISVs</blockquote></li></ul> <br />One of the key element to move to this new license is the publicly available DLAU tool. Of course, the world pandemic extended it a bit further when Covid-19 changed how we work. Let me back up toward the end of 2018. <br /> <br /> <img alt="Blog is warming Back Up" border="0" src="http://www.idonotes.com/IdoNotes/idonotes.nsf/dx/where-have-i-been.htm/content/M2?OpenElement"><br /> <br /> After 20 years at Connectria, it was time to take a sabbatical and relax the mind. I took six months to travel, rest, reflect and look ahead. In April of 2019 I landed at a great match. Just when I started looking, a company started looking for someone to fill a unique slot. The position blended messaging, cloud, API, governance, and layers of types of management skills. I was the manager, SME, pseudo architect, program manager, product manager and part time engineer on areas I had long time skills in (like SMTP, SMS and cloud scale). <br /> <br /> I played a role with multiple hats. As the Senior Manager, I had an outstanding team of engineers I managed to architect, build and deploy a serverless and stateless cloud based solution. The entire platform needed to be scalable on demand, following numerous global privacy policies (PII, GDPR, CCPA, PCI and others) while being served via a secure API gateway based on Kong. The messages being sent across the platform would be SMS and email with two-way communication automation built in. Tens of millions of messages would transverse the platform monthly. Success was had months ahead of schedule. Testing was just about to begin in production. <br /> <br /> Then Covid-19 hit and the furloughs started. The platform had to go live immediately. With the flip of a switch (not really but pretend someone did) the SMS was put into action and my team was put into furlough, then dismissed when they knew 2019 would not see any recovery. In full 1080p you can stream 60fps which in previous versions was only available in 720p. Google also reports a 15% hardware speed improvement which should help with the new video capability. They also slightly changed the look of the Chromecast but since it sits behind the TV at most houses you never notice. <br /> <br />See It. Stream It. <br />The idea behind Chromecast has always been the ability to stream content from all your mobile devices. I have been a Chromecast user since it first came out when set top boxes were very new or expensive.You can watch movies, shows, live TV, YouTube, share photos all from any family device. <br /> <br />Setup has been easy since the very first one. Plug Chromecast into a HDMI port, connect to it and start streaming. once you start streaming you can use your phone or tablet like normal which is a big bonus. <br /><blockquote>High-speed wireless connectivity <br />Built-in 802.11ac Wi-Fi connects to the Internet through your wireless home network (wireless router required and sold separately). <br /> <br />Compatible with your existing HDTV <br />Easily connects to high-definition televisions with HDMI connectivity.</blockquote> <br />Something else I love is the integration with my new Google Home. Just say what you want to play from any compatible content and you are in control hands-free.
