23. OK, looks like the tiny mouse pointer bug is definitely not fixed - every time I reboot the PC, the problem is back.
 24.
25.
 26.
27. You can clear it with the compatibility toggling procedure I outlined above, but users should not be forced to jump through these hoops every time the boot up their computer

 65. I'm referencing another drawing on another layout - something I do all the time. I have all my project notes in a single worksheet. Those notes have autotext references to drawings on other sheets. This is the only text box that's giving me troubles.

 87. I am using US 20 version, but sometimes I have Hungarian related jobs. I noticed that the sheet index shows ? instead of the characters with the Hungarian umlauts (Ő Ű), others are fine as they are used in more languages (ú
 88. , ó
 89. , ö
 90. , ü
 91. etc.) What is strange is that they show normally everywhere else: layout map, layout itself with the autotext.
 92.
93. Changing font type doesn't help. Is there any solution to this? Is this an ArchiCAD or a system problem?
 94.
95.
 96.
97. (I noticed that if I replace the question mark in the index with either ő or ű it appears fine, up until I reopen the index.)

 115. I've noticed that if I place an autotext referencing another drawing placed on a sheet (for example: "see 19/A3.2") everything dies: the worksheet the autotext appears, the layout the worksheet is placed, the textbox...
 116.
117. I first discovered this in AC18, and still is an issue.

 167. whether i navigate using my mouse, scroll button or in camera keyboard it does the same thing. My laptop has Intel Core i7 @ 2.5 GHz with 24GB of RAM, video card is NVIDIA GTX 980M . I'm not up on whether these specs are outdated, i know there are better video cards now but i thought this would be more then enough to cover what archicad requires. Whats weird about this issue is it doesn't happen in all my opened archicad projects. I have several sessions running and this issue doesn't happen in all sessions which leads me to think its a setting but i really don't know. It extremely annoying haha

When navigating in 3D - if I get too near 'things' they get cut. Makes editing certain things impossible.

 180.
181. I have had this issue in the past, especially associated with Quadro GPUs (for some reason high end game cards seem much more stable for ArchiCAD)
 182.
183.
 184.
185. Issue seems to relate to the way you navigate around a perspective view - if you get closer to something by zooming (eg. with mouse wheel) in rather than by flying the camera with keyboard, this can occur. Also implicated seems to be OpenGL memory churning in the GPU if you have had a busy day.
 186.
187. Workaround seems to be to power off then on again. Again, mainstream GPUs seem to be a lot more reliable than the more expensive 'workstation' GPUs - probably because the same cash outlay will buy you a newer generation card with better specs, more memory, and more regular driver updates

 279.

280.
 281. Just tested the 4004 update, and sadly no immediate improvement at all to issue "230368 USER INTERFACE: For Ultra High Definition (4K) screens, mouse cursor appeared small inside ARCHICAD in Windows 10 with Display Scaling enabled."
 282.
283.
 284.
285. However the update does now allow windows application compatibility settings for DPI scaling to work for ArchiCAD 21 (previously they made no difference)
 286.
287.
 288.
289. After patching ArchiCAD, AND toggling DPI scaling compatibility settings to 'on' then 'off' again, seems to clear the mouse pointer scaling issue
 290.
291.
292. Process is: Right click the ArchiCAD 21 icon to access properties/compatibility settings, then tick to 'Override High DPI scaling behaviour' for all users, then apply. Restart PC (not 100% sure this step is required, but is what I did), then go back , right click icon again and revert compatibility settings for all users back to the default
 293.
294.
 295.
296. Mouse pointer is then back to normal size.

 356. I had some strange openGL 3D-behavior too a couple of weeks ago (pic attached). If I recall it correctly, it was only one saved view in my project which gave me this, if I zoomed in enough. Now I can't reproduce it again.
 357.
358. It happened with an oldish iMac i7, Radeon 5750 1GB.
 359.
361.
362. It was supposed to be a normal outside view of a hotel building.

 365.
366. Something like this has happened a few times earlier, I think in quite a many ArchiCAD versions.

 380. Thanks Lazlo - that update looks hopeful. Not yet tested or released for New Zealand I see.
 381.
382. I would update with the preview version now anyway (a great idea making these available!), but have BIMserver & other users to consider.
 383.
384.
 385.
386. In the meantime, is there a way that Windows 10 can actually have display scaling disabled? (since as described that appears to be a requirement for the bug to manifest)
 387.
388.
 389.
390. I have not found a setting that makes any difference in Windows control panel or via application compatibility settings
 391.
392. Ticking the 'disable display scaling on high DPI settings' option in ArchiCAD properties/compatibility settings menu does nothing for example.

When navigating in 3D - if I get too near 'things' they get cut. Makes editing certain things impossible.
 499.
500.
 501.
502. Is this a graphics driver issue or graphics card setting or bug? Advice greatly appreciated.
 503.
504.
 505.
506. p.s. the white squares are me photo shopping out commercially sensitive stuff.

 507.
508. I have had this issue in the past, especially associated with Quadro GPUs (for some reason high end game cards seem much more stable for ArchiCAD)
 509.
510.
 511.
512. Issue seems to relate to the way you navigate around a perspective view - if you get closer to something by zooming (eg. with mouse wheel) in rather than by flying the camera with keyboard, this can occur. Also implicated seems to be OpenGL memory churning in the GPU if you have had a busy day.
 513.
514. Workaround seems to be to power off then on again. Again, mainstream GPUs seem to be a lot more reliable than the more expensive 'workstation' GPUs - probably because the same cash outlay will buy you a newer generation card with better specs, more memory, and more regular driver updates

 547.
 548. Is anyone else finding that on a 4K screen, following the recent Windows 10 Creators update, that the ArchiCAD mouse pointer is now insanely small? (for all ArchiCAD versions)
 549.
550.
 551.
552. ArchiCAD is the only application so affected, and while increasing windows UI scaling, and increasing windows mouse pointer size to maximum within Windows Control Panel generallyworks as expected for everything else, the mouse pointer once moved over the ArchiCAD application window) becomes so tiny it is barely visible - and certainly the ArchiCAD dynamic pointer style context feedback is utterly undetectable.
 553.
554.
 555.
556. This seems to stem from ArchiCAD's non compliant method of handling the custom mouse pointer DPI scaling rather than anything with the OS - as is demonstrated by nearly ALL other applications that predate the windows update being unaffected. (perhaps a compromise or carry over from the way custom mouse feedback is implemented for the Mac platform?)
 557.
558.
 559.
560. Rolling back to or reinstalling an earlier version of Windows 10 are not good options in my case.
 561.
562.
 563.
564. What have others done to solve this serious problem?
