45.

Alisson Becker last played for Liverpool back on the 10th of February, in a 3-1 win for the Reds against Burnley in the Premier League.

The Brazilian then picked up a hamstring injury in training the following week and has been out ever since.

He was added to lengthy injury list that already involved the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones, Joel Matip, Ryan Gravenberch, and Dominik Szoboszlai (who has since thankfully made his return).

Caoimhin Kelleher has been more than a capable deputy in these past few weeks, and has only further substantiated the view that he deserves to be playing week-in week-out, be it at Anfield or elsewhere.

Liverpool host Brighton this Sunday as they look to return to winning ways in the Premier League following the 1-1 draw with Manchester City at Anfield.

The Reds lost the FA Cup quarter-final clash against Manchester United prior to the international break â\x80\x93 which was a disappointing way to end that leg of the season.

But as the title fight gets closer to its conclusion, they now need to concentrate on winning every league game moving forward.

However, it seems that Liverpool could be welcoming back Alisson to the side sooner rather than later.
Jurgen Kloppâ\x80\x99s Alisson injury update to a fan
Liverpool fan Liam Whittle was at the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday afternoon, where he managed to quiz Jurgen Klopp on when the big Brazilian could be back.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed that the shot stopper should be back in the next â\x80\x9c2 1/2 -3 weeks.â\x80\x9d

It then comes as a great boost with the title run in now starting to get deadly serious with 10 games to go.

In other injury news, it is believed that Trent Alexander-Arnold is aiming for a return from his knee injury against Manchester United on April 7.

Diogo Jota would too like to return for that crunch fixture at Old Trafford, but he is less likely to be ready in time.

 54.

 55.

Former Liverpool transfer target Jude Bellingham is quite possibly the best player on the planet at the moment.

Since turning down Liverpool to sign for Real Madrid last summer, the 20-year-old has taken his game up a level.[BREAK]Itâ\x80\x99s a lot.

Jurgen Klopp even recently spoke publicly about his desire to sign Bellingham last year.[BREAK]That isnâ\x80\x99t something Klopp usually does, but the England international is simply that special.

And given the way Bellingham has now spoken about one former Liverpool player, itâ\x80\x99s easy to see where he takes inspiration from.
Part of the reason Liverpool fans had been hopeful of securing Bellingham last year is because of his previous comments about the club.

Well, actually, it isnâ\x80\x99t so much what Jude said about Liverpool themselves as the praise heâ\x80\x99s lavished on Reds icon Steven Gerrard.

Bellingham has previously lauded Gerrard as being one of his true footballing heroes.[BREAK]But it doesnâ\x80\x99t take away from the fact that the Real Madrid midfielder simply loves Gerrard.

So, when asked to name the players he looked up to as a youngster by Sky Sports today, it felt inevitable that Bellingham would mention the former Liverpool captain.[BREAK]So aggressive and so skilful as well, so Iâ\x80\x99d say those two.â\x80\x9d

Forget Rooney, Bellingham has previously named Gerrard as being his ultimate idol in footballing terms.[BREAK]â\x80\x9cThe character he has besides football is world-class, and then you add on his ability â\x80\x93 itâ\x80\x99s a joke.â\x80\x9d

When Stevie also spoke well of Bellingham before his big move last year, it added to the feeling that a Liverpool move was the young starâ\x80\x99s destiny.

 60.

Rio Ferdinand has heaped praise on Conor Bradley after his profound impact on the first team since being introduced at the turn of the year.

Bradley was thrusted into action when it became clear that Trent Alexander-Arnold would be out of commission for a sustained period of time.

It was only on the 21st of January that he made his Premier League debut away to Bournemouth during Liverpoolâ\x80\x99s 4-0 victory on the south coast.

Ten days later, he scored his first goal as a senior against Chelsea at Anfield, earning him the January POTM awards from both Liverpool and the PFA Fan vote.

Bradley subsequently participated in the Carabao Cup final for Liverpool last month, helping the team win the first trophy of the campaignâ\x80\x94an incredible accomplishment for someone so young.

The icing on the cake was his first international goal this week, which he scored at Hampden Park to give Northen Ireland a 1-0 victory over Andy Robertsonâ\x80\x99s Scotland.

And his performances have not gone unnoticed, even by rival pundits and fans.
What did Rio Ferdinand say about Conor Bradley?
The Manchester United legend compared Kobbie Mainoo and Bradley, citing the Liverpool manâ\x80\x99s ability shoulder pressure in the absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold:

â\x80\x9cYeah, he is a modern-day fullback, up and down, really comfortable in attacking areas,â\x80\x9d the former England international began.

â\x80\x9cA little bit, as I mentioned before with Kobbie [Mainoo], he doesnâ\x80\x99t seem fazed.â\x80\x9d

â\x80\x9cYouâ\x80\x99ve got to remember, an added layer for him is heâ\x80\x99s come in and heâ\x80\x99s replacing one of the best fullbacks in the world in Trent [Alexander-Arnold].â\x80\x9d

â\x80\x9cThatâ\x80\x99s a pressure that Iâ\x80\x99ve not really heard anyone talk about.â\x80\x9d

â\x80\x9cItâ\x80\x99s not like coming in for one of the average players in the team; heâ\x80\x99s coming in for one of the mainstays in the team.â\x80\x9d

â\x80\x9cThat brings a huge amount of pressure that he seems to have dealt with really, really well.â\x80\x9d

It certainly deserved praise from one of the best centre-backs that the Premier League has ever seen.

Alexander-Arnoldâ\x80\x99s absence has not really been felt negatively, and thatâ\x80\x99s credit to how well Bradley has managed to perform under pressure.

In other news, Cody Gakpo responds to criticism over Liverpool form.

 65.
No offence to Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta, but if you got a notification for every Premier League pass, you would have muted these guys years ago.

Over time, though, the passes acquire a shape.[BREAK]Letâ\x80\x99s start with how Arsenal became boring â\x80\x94 and scary-good.
Arsenal
The last time we saw the current Premier League leaders in league play, they were slowly squashing Brentford like one of those hydraulic-press videos.

For minutes on end, Arsenal would win the ball in the Brentford half, swing it out to the wing, combine, attack, counter-press, repeat.[BREAK]Thatâ\x80\x99s not all that much in the grand scheme of things, only about four times a game, but itâ\x80\x99s way, way more than most teams â\x80\x94 over five standard deviations from the Premier League average.

If you had to forge Arsenalâ\x80\x99s signature from pure passing data, it would look like a cramped little scribble on their right wing.

Artetaâ\x80\x99s team didnâ\x80\x99t play like this a couple of years ago.[BREAK]You may remember their glory days of 2019-20 for the flurry of long-range balls that took defences by storm â\x80\x94 and they certainly did plenty of that, at least compared to Guardiolaâ\x80\x99s short-passing machine â\x80\x94 but their signature pass pairs back then involved a lot of sideways play at the halfway line as they poked around for an opening to rain down fire.

Lately, theyâ\x80\x99ve become something else entirely.

In 2021-22, when Thiago shifted to his favoured left side and took over the team, Liverpool began passing through midfield much more than they had before.[BREAK]By direct speed, a measure of vertical yards gained per second in open play, theyâ\x80\x99re the ninth-fastest team in the Premier League.[BREAK]A lot of piecemeal changes have left this team just a little bit creakier at both ends of the pitch â\x80\x94 enough, in this season of small margins, to keep things very interesting.

And yet one key data point hasnâ\x80\x99t changed: even now, one point behind two very good teams with 10 games to go, City remain comfortable favourites for the title, just as theyâ\x80\x99ve been all along.

Maybe pass pair data doesnâ\x80\x99t hold all the secrets to football.

 70.
Like the respective supporters of their Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal sides, they were no doubt watching from behind their sofas as they saw key players pick up injuries while training and playing for their international teams.

It was the last thing that the managers of the Premier League's current top three needed.[BREAK]As well as the title, the trio have other competitions to navigate during what could prove to be a make-or-break month of fixtures that begins this Sunday when Liverpool host Brighton before City and Arsenal go head-to-head at the Etihad.[BREAK]And while Jurgen Klopp's second-placed Reds would seemingly have a better run of fixtures than their title rivals, on paper at least, of the three teams they have the most injury worries, which has been the case for most of the campaign.

READ MORE: Dream Liverpool weekend as five players return from injury and Man City and Arsenal both drop points

READ MORE: Liverpool might have just been handed title boost after Man City and Arsenal fixture changes

So ahead of this weekend's return to action, we take a look at the latest from the treatment rooms at Liverpool, City and Arsenal....
Liverpool
The Reds already had fitness concerns over nine players going into the international break.[BREAK]But while Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Ibrahima Konate all came through unscathed after playing for their countries, Andy Robertson was not so lucky.

The Scotland skipper was forced off 37 minutes into the 1-0 home defeat to Northern Ireland, for whom Robertson's Liverpool team-mate Conor Bradley scored the winner with his first international goal.[BREAK]Long-term injury victims Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip and Ben Doak make up the rest of the 10 players the Reds currently have concerns over.
Manchester City
While City do not have as many injuries as Liverpool, they have picked up two big ones over the past week.[BREAK]

Matheus Nunes, meanwhile, returned from injury to play for Portugal last week, while fears that Erling Haaland had sustained an injury while training for Norway were swiftly squashed
Arsenal
Bukayo Saka, arguably Arsenal's most important player, handed Arteta a major scare when he was withdrawn from the England squad before their friendlies with Brazil and Belgium.

 100.
And as the clock ticks down on Jurgen Klopp's time as manager, so Liverpool continue to press ahead with their attempts to win a treble.

With only 10 Premier League games remaining, just goal difference separates the Reds from leaders Arsenal, with the League Cup already in the trophy room and a Europa League quarter-final against Atalanta on the horizon.

The relentless injury list has meant Liverpool have had to rely heavily on almost every senior member of their squad this season, along with an increasing number of Academy graduates.[BREAK]

READ MORE: Liverpool are about to unleash their most devastating player on the Premier League title race

READ MORE: Luis Diaz transfer 'hope' emerges as Liverpool international injury curse continues

The ECHO has rated Liverpool's squad throughout the 46 games they have played in all competitions this season, marking them out of 10 for every appearance in which they played for at least 15 minutes.

And here we assess the campaign of each player who has thus far made 20 scoring appearances, using their average ratings as a guide.
The men who have impressed
For good reason is Virgil van Dijk (average rating 7.25) considered among the front-runners for the PFA and Footballer of the Year awards.[BREAK]With only a couple of exceptions, he has been in imperious form since the start of December, the highlight being his matchwinning showing in the League Cup final.

Mohamed Salah (7.09) may not have featured much this year due to injury but has been in excellent attacking form overall with 21 goals and 13 assists, while Alisson Becker (7.08) was arguably Liverpool's player of the year until injury struck six weeks ago.[BREAK]Alexis Mac Allister (6.82) began the season as an emergency number six but has in recent months stepped up in a more accustomed advanced role, while the versatility of Joe Gomez (6.82) has made him almost indispensable this term.

Dominik Szoboszlai (6.81), who started the season strongly before fading slightly given the demands of a debut Premier League campaign, will hope for an injury-free run-in, while the goalscoring exploits of Diogo Jota (6.81) have twice been hampered by lengthy spells in the treatment room.

Ibrahima Konate (6.77) lost his place after the opening few weeks but is now first-choice alongside Van Dijk whenever available, while, after an alarming start to his Liverpool career, the form of Wataru Endo (6.77) as the defensive midfielder from December onwards has been hugely encouraging.

Curtis Jones (6.68) has been an integral part of midfield in between his injuries and suspension, while Andy Robertson (6.60) will hope his latest injury setback doesn't rule him out for an extended period having already missed more than three months with a shoulder problem.
Could do better
Kostas Tsimikas (6.45) struggled for rhythm in the opening months and then, having found his feet, joined the lengthy absentee list.[BREAK]By Klopp's own admission, Cody Gakpo (6.33) hasn't been helped by having to occasionally plug gaps in midfield with the growing reliance on the Dutchman during the worst of the injury crisis exhausting the player.

Ryan Gravenberch (6.18) hit the ground running after his summer arrival but then hit a notable block for several months.[BREAK]However, he was improving until being injured in the League Cup final win over Chelsea.

Of those who haven't featured enough to gain an qualifying average rating, Bobby Clark (7.14) is clearly set for a bright future while Conor Bradley (7.12) burst on to the scene and is managing to maintain his level.

 105.

Considering four midfielders were brought into Liverpool last summer, you would think the midfield will not be a priority for the Reds this summer.[BREAK]The clubâ\x80\x99s current options have been bolstered by the emergence of players like Bobby Clark as well as Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones, who both really elevated their performances recently.[BREAK]Some of those new ideas may not adhere to all of the clubâ\x80\x99s current options.[BREAK]

Heâ\x80\x99s also represented Ukraineâ\x80\x99s senior national team 14 times and played a key role in helping his country qualify to Euro 2024 this week, registering both assists in a 2-1 play off final victory over Iceland.[BREAK]

In the past, his former Shaktar Donetsk reserve coach, Fernando Valente, hailed Sudakov as someone with enormous potential and who was good enough to play for the likes of Manchester City.[BREAK]

â\x80\x9cSudakov is a lad with enormous potential, he could even play for Barcelona or Manchester City.
