123.
Mastering oneself is complex. We need to address our stubborn ego and its complexities. We need to examine the armor or shields we put around our heart to keep it safe and protected. To get to the space of vulnerability, we have to release the shame that binds us layer by layer. We must get at the emotional truth about our story.

 124.
The mind and body are incredible in how they work seamlessly to protect us. When we change the boundaries and expectations in a relationship we create space or room for forgiveness. Can you thrash around with your emotions? Listen in for more of the process leading to emotional freedom and joy.

 125.
Mary Hayes Grieco is the author of The New Kitchen Mystic and Unconditional Forgiveness: A Simple and Proven Method to Forgive Everyone and Everything. She is the founder and director of The Midwest Institute for Forgiveness Training. 127.
This Week:

 128.

 129.
Keep working through the Eight Steps to Forgiveness. Repeat prior episodes with Mary and Jennifer to refresh your memory, or listen for the first time all the way through 2-episodes with those two together. Three episodes with Mary. And, four episodes with Jennifer. This may help prepare you for change.

 130.

 131.

 132.
Do step 2 and 3 of the Eight Steps to Forgiveness. Express your feelings exactly as they are inside of you. Then release expectations from your mind, one by one. Forgive everything. Drop in to the full irritation and expression of your grief and heartbreak. Take time for tears. Where is your pain showing up? Tight jaw? Headaches? Pain in the neck? Let it get bigger and more distinct. Continue on. The depth of pain doesn’t last forever. Let it go. Go to the next steps.

 133.

 134.

 135.
Step 8: eventually you will be able to see the good in the person or situation. Permanent forgiveness occurs when you thoroughly and comprehensively perform each step. Allow the process its own time. Integrate the change into your life. Start living anew, freed up.

 178.
Nicole is effervescent, resilient, and confident. And, back for a second mentoring session.

 179.
A seed planted long ago began to sprout in 2006. A $300 birthday gift is invested in purchasing enough costumes to practice throwing princess parties. The monies for a start-up gifted by others. This is a little different take on using other people’s money.

 180.
Experimenting, in creative ways, to attract more clients, and finding other work to cash flow her business, her perseverance and ingenuity paid off. Five years into Princess Party Pals she hit a home run. Nicole is an amazing example of what happens when you believe in your intuition.

 181.
Nicole’s advice, bloom where you are planted. This episode is chuck full of great ideas for start-up.

 182.
This Week:

 183.
Identify the areas where you can bloom where you are planted. One way to do this is listen to what your clients and customers want. See how you can find ways to say yes. Maybe, it is time to revisit your vision, mission, and core values.

 232.
This Week:

 233.

 234.
Notice how you are showing up in conversations with others. Are you leaking and dribbling some of your hurt in conversations with your inner circle of friends, or close family members? Sometimes this is a way to offload or release some of your pain.

 235.

 236.

 237.
Identify the degree of pain you are in – all-consuming to minor irritant. Your friends are not trained to handle grief. They can show empathy. They can see you and be with you. They can offer advice. Ultimately, you are in charge of what you do with your hurt. Yes, it is an inside job! Grief and heartbreak do not heal themselves over time. Spiritual healing is a learned process where you revolutionize yourself and therefore, change your life.

 238.

 239.

 240.
Get support. Take action by going through the Eight Steps to Freedom. Read Mary’s two books. Reach out to Mary for further assistance.

 241.

 242.

 243.
If you are not leaking and dribbling hurt out to your inner circle, awesome! You may be emotionally clear and current with loved ones in your life. You may have small issues with others to forgive. Complete this exercise with the focus on a smaller issue like a grumpy neighbor, or with someone at work where your expectations need adjusting.

 244.

 245.

 246.
On the backdrop of all these horrific attacks on innocent people, we need a process to help us reckon with the troubled souls in our world and grieve the loss of so many people. We need to keep coming back to ways to love each other and forgive one another. Learn the Eight Steps to Freedom. The timing could not be better to learn how to forgive agregious acts of terror and violence, and embrace those loved ones taken from us.

Dr. Stauffer created the 8 steps to forgiveness process. Mary refined the process to fit her expressive artistic style of educating and has integrated what she has learned from the thousands who have experienced the process. Dr. Edith Stauffer passed away in 2004.

 281.
From a business ownership perspective, mentoring someone in your techniques and methods of proven concepts is a great way to continue building on and evolving a huge body of work. Dr. Edith Stauffer benefitted from knowing her healing work was in trusted hands. Mary benefitted by taking a proven concept and educational business model and improving it. Expanding the business model, Mary has become an author, produced an audio CD, and created a podcast series. Mary can do the same with a successor when she is ready to pass the baton to another entrepreneur invested in healing the world through forgiveness training.

See episode 28, aired on July 4th. In our second mentoring session, listen for how Danielle solves the dilemma of servicing over 400 clients, and organically emerges a family business model.

 369.
How are engineering and accounting related? And, is the answer tied to Danielle’s family business model? We plunge into her unique perspective on how she and her husband, Corey, are building a family-owned business with their 7-year old and 9-year old children.

 370.
We leave this mentoring session with accounting and bookkeeping tips for you. And, what we will discuss in future episodes.

 371.
Resources: www.sos.state.mn.us (Minnesota Secretary of State Office for everything you need to know to start-up a business in Minnesota) and www.mncpa.org (Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants for information on finding an accountant)

 372.
This Week: Get your bookkeeping practices in order. Start with figuring out your filing system. If you keep everything online and pay bills online, answer the question, what do you need in hard copy? Where do you put the paperwork? File folders still work.

 373.
Organize folders to hold your income and expense receipts, or use monthly envelopes to store the smaller receipts. At the end of the tax year, organize the receipts into a yearly envelope for accountant, and then place in storage area: a box or cabinet.

 374.
Tips from Danielle:

 375.

 376.
Staple receipts to invoices.

 377.
Create Vendor folders by year.

 378.
Keep checking accounts and savings account expenses on credit cards separate.

 379.
Keep tax documents and supporting documents 7-years.

 380.
Keep tax returns forever, but after 7-years, get rid of support documents.

 381.
